credit limit increase with capital one credit card so if you're interested stay tuned so first how to qualify for a credit limit increase with capital one firstly you may be eligible for an automatic credit limit increase so you may want to check first with your account you can do so by signing online and it should tell you right when you view your account usually it's six months of having the card so you may be eligible already and you just don't know so just make sure you check first on your account portal to be eligible for a credit limit increase that you can do on your own you must have an unsecured credit card and your account must be at least three months old so just keep in mind that any secure credit cards is not eligible for this credit limit increase because secured credit cards do automatic increases when it becomes unsecured so this is for unsecured credit cards with capital one you will need to provide your total annual income employment status in monthly mortgage or rent payment when you're applying for the credit limit increase with capital one the great thing about this credit limit increase is that there is no hard pull so that means your credit score will not go down when requesting a credit limit increase it's a very easy process online or you can also do it over the phone at 1-800-955-7070 and it's an automatic service and they basically prompt you in actual information and you'll basically get your decision over the phone soon as you finish the prompts of the questions that they actually which is your total annual income employment status monthly mortgage and rent payment so i've done it online and also done it over the phone so it's really easy to do so how to step so i'm going to go over the steps on how to do it online um i just mentioned how to do it over the phone but it's exactly the same steps when you do it over the phone uh it's just you'll have to manually enter it so you will need to click the link in the description to go to the credit limit increase page first so make sure you scroll down open the new and click the credit limit link that i provided with you in description then you will need to log in so make sure you have your username and password it's going to prompt you to a screen where you can request your credit limit increase if you don't use that link just log into your account like you normally do then click the gear icon where i have highlighted it in red with a box and click i want to then once you click that you will scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page under offers an upgrade and it will show you a link where it says request credit line increase once you do that it will prompt you to another screen where it is going to be asking you for your annual income employment status occupation monthly mortgage or rent payment and how much will you spend each month on this credit card your maximum desired line and why are you requesting a credit line increase so make sure you are very truthful on this application because this will determine your result into how much you get approved and also if you've been approved or not so make sure you don't you know overdo it and try to put a high income thinking that they're going to give you a high credit limit increase it does not work like that in most cases don't try to overdo it or put something that's insane be truthful be honest it's no harmful so it's so i'd rather be approved for a no harmful increase then get denied for a no harmful increase so being honest is definitely key then once you click submit you will either get a instant result or your requests have been received thank you for submitting your request you will receive a document in an online center with the outcome of our review approximately two to three business days we will also send you an email asking you to visit the online document center when it's available okay and then also if you haven't signed up for paperless documents you'll also receive a letter by mail in 10 business days so this is the steps on how to request the credit limit increase with capital one and some may get a instant decision and some may not it does not mean that you've been denied so just keep in mind just be patient don't call them just wait so helpful tips sometimes your new limit is approved immediately like i said over time it can take a few days they'll send you a letter by mail with details about the decision so just be patient guys especially during the holidays in durham covey it just takes time they will approve you for the highest amount they can offer and give you okay the option to choose a lower one if that works better for you okay so if you're declining for a capital one credit increase you can request another at any time so there is not a time limit on when you request another one however it is recommended that you just wait at least six months with these type of banks an exception would be if your financial situation improves like receiving a raise anytime your income goes up is an is an appropriate time to request a credit increase assuming you're in debt okay so just keep in mind if you do get a an increase in your income and you want to increase your credit limit you can go ahead and request it now they may ask for additional proof but you know it's always good to do so if you think the credit limit increase is needed because of your income being you know raised a really good thing that i've noticed as being a capital one customer is that they do look at customer profiles periodically so that's really good um capital one sends me tons of offers all the time and it is based off your credit profile so that's pretty good that they actually care that you know you may be you may be you know eligible for this uh capital one is a great uh bank you know they have great business they have a great business side so i really think that it's really cool that they actually do reach out to their customers and you know let them know what they could be eligible for so if you're not eligible for a credit limit increase or any offers for of a new credit card just be patient your time is coming
