that the two master programs over delivered by our Pro Department the first one is the one-year master program is called a massive finance as a second one is a two-year master programs is called massive banking finance we start from a massive banking finance so much for banking finance we have three specializations the first one is the environmental finance a second one is a FinTech a third one is financial management and the first specializations called are you very mental finance so the purpose we introduce the environmental finance states that at the moment you can see that in Sydney the bushfires the air pollutions all those are caused by the climate change right or global warming right so this is a big issues not only in finance economics and they all of subjects right so we have to definitely in finance we have to incorporate those environmental issues being for the decision-making so we introduced a new specialization is called environmental finance okay so in the environmental finance we were gonna teach you full K units essential units the first one is risk management and derivatives and the second one is the environmental finance the second one is business global environmental change and say who is the business valuation so the main difference between the environmental finance and the more traditional finance is that because as you know if you have a bit of background of finance you know that when you assess a project definitely we do the net present value analysis right as a father more traditional project and analysis with the environmental finance we do need to take environmental issues into consideration so when you evaluate a project you have to you have also need to take they were mental issues related to this project in your consideration so when you discount the the future cash flows you have to consider the environmental costs right so this is the main difference between the environmental findings and more traditional finance okay so that's the first specializations and the second one is the FinTech if we can go to the the FinTech so the main units we're gonna deliver with the FinTech specialization is FinTech innovation and the financial data analysis and then payments cryptocurrencies and Bach chain and the fourth one is a digital finance right most of the units are the cutting-edge units and very practical units okay you can see that so in our units offered in the mass of banking finance they're not the only theoretical units so there are good to make those unions a more practical for example the data analysis right so we will teach students different computer languages such as Python ah that's right but the course is not teach you how to basically program but instead we would teach students how to analyze the real data set with the different programs right so with this knowledge you can definitely in the future you can definitely use this knowledge to analyze the real data set in the company in the industry right so this is a FinTech and the last specializations is financial management and the financial management one is the more traditional specializations we desire you miss a highly in line with the exams that the CFA is else okay the materials will be covered in the CFA exams okay the first unit is called a risk management and derivatives signalize fixed income and undergraduate certificate or diploma in for example right alternatively you what you would need to have a at least a three year ok experience so for applying a master of Finance and then master of environmental finance right it's a a bit of a combination of the traditional and the cutting-edge finance right so there's two programs currently the programs we offer in the master level in department of finance it sound so wonderful we have so many innovative and very like practical choices for the user to study finance events so are there any internship or any like research project components in the degrees yes sure especially for our massive banking finance we have the units called internship in finance so in that unit we offer students opportunities to walk in in the industry weather related industry they give the local banks or local insurance companies right so we provide the students a two months opportunities to work in the team in the local companies and yeah and also for the assessment will ask the company to provide the students a legal case right so we just provided students a whoopie environment a true real work experience or work environment to the students so they know was the exactly what the industry wants right instead of the launch based on all the theories taught in the university so the it will provide the students that very different experience so this is a unit called the finance internship and addition to that actually basically for most of our units for example like the current issues in banking finance or research in banking finance our course communist normally will invite one or two guest Naturals from what industry like the one I thought last semester is called the financial management of Miss condom and interest statement and so if you want to find a good job the first thing the employer will look is your transcript yes so I would say this is very important awesome and I think you mentioned briefly earlier about the CFA their own program and how one we may just actually release this if a unity absolutely exams can you elaborate more on that I think our students want to do CFA exams after their degree I wanna do not agree one of the options yeah sure um actually we are still discussing we say serve a community and hopefully in 2020 the Mossville finance program will be accredited by survey so that which means all example credit the credit analysis department or environmental planning department or you can go to they can also go to the hedge funds mutual funds this investment banking industry and in terms of the salary I think upon graduation does it varies but the internet oh is from 60 K to 80 cake that's an entry level for if you in the future if you become a manager the standard could be up to 300,000 students from different cultures from different countries it's good for students actually exposed to themselves to a multicultural environment because Australia is a multicultural countries right yeah so if you expose yourself into this environment in the class then it's easier for you to adapt this multicultural environment in the future in the industry well that's awesome I have one more question coming through here so why should I choose Macquarie University to study finance over other universities in Australia okay first of all if you look at the cuteness the newest she is ranking finance accounting in Macquarie University is a ranked top 100 Bank and Finance subject all around the world so which means it's a top 2% best university in banking the finance all over the world and another thing is McCrory universe master banking finance a master finance is one of the universities in Australia to incorporate FinTech and environmental finance into our programs so not many other universities in Australia the teach especially the FinTech specializations or environmental specializations you can see that all of those specializations are very practical right so and again is a combination of very real ready and practical skills yes that's awesome so it's an expression that we have here is you mentioned CFA before but what are the industry partners do we partner with in creating our courses in finance do we have like the people that we invite into Fergus lectures the people that we with the internship provision ok commission the disease earlier actually there's the financial management it's hard to say actually it's based on your personal interest actually if you have a good sense of computing obviously you know when you go forth in tech all right it's more technique based specializations right but if you have a sense of like are environmental issues and then for money you can go go for the environmental finance right but if you are if you are in to give you into a more traditional finance then much financial management is a good choice right so it it really depends on what you're after and what's your interesting okay but in Australia is to make a really massive rice of FinTech companies startup scene in this million have a good option of you in to the quickl technology new innovation you're a consider as your choice in the mass of banking and
