Blank fillable car title form

all right everybody welcome my name is Ryan here today I'm going to talk to you about how to fill out a title correctly so a little bit about my background I actually used to work for the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles I was one of their senior technicians for about four years and I also ran my own DMV business for a couple of years so I definitely have quite a bit of knowledge when it comes to dealing with titles and titles from different states so this is just an example of what a title looks like this one like I said is a Nevada title most titles are kind of laid out in a general general similar layout sometimes maybe this layout will be actually on the back side and actually you'll see right here on the back side there's more stuff here but we'll get to that here and in a little little while so on the front we have some information on the vehicle there's a good number year make model you'll notice at P 40 that's means passenger four-door right here is actually a title number by gross weight empty weight fuel type domitor brand you know mileage that I had last when I had this title done and it's got my name and information here and same thing here name and information so couple of things when you're looking to fill out a title there is a couple things that you want to be aware of so first off be aware that you cannot sell a vehicle if this box right here has something in it and the Box I'm talking about is right here so right there underneath there it says lienholder name and address okay if there was something here and generally the information that would be here would be like your bank so if you financed your car and you were making monthly payments to like Wells Fargo Chace city bank or credit union or whatever bank you have if there is information in this box then you cannot sell the vehicle unless Chase or Wells Fargo or City unless they have actually had one of their agents sign on this line and then they have either printed the bank's name or they have a stamp next to their name and the date that they did it on so generally that's that's what you're kind of looking for so and again the the the company name or the the stamp name of the bank it can either be on this line or it can be on this line it doesn't really matter the DMV just wants to see that the person that's actually signing off on the title is authorized to do so so you know usually sometimes when people for the bank's when they sign their names off they will actually put their title down also so they might put down like their the title clerk or that they are like a account specialist they will put sometimes they will also put there essentially what the rank is for the bank you know if they're like maybe a branch manager they will sign their name off and say like branch manager or title Clark and then they will put today's date on it and then essentially they print their name and that's where the you know company stamp comes in where it would be stamped like Wells Fargo where it would be stamped Chase Bank or whatever your finance company is so you're probably wondering to yourself well how come your title doesn't have a lien holder on it well it used to actually have a lien holder on it but once I paid the vehicle off I went down to the DMV and had the lien holder removed and I will actually go through those steps on how to remove the lien holder off your title in another video but just to move on again this is just kind of how to fill a title out so three things that you want to be worried about when you're the seller of when you're trying to sell a vehicle to another person okay there's usually three areas that you have to be concerned with on this entire title one is the odometer so when you write down the Adamo tur be extremely careful with how you write down the odometer and the reason why I say this is because if you mess up the odometer you're probably thinking oh well I'll just scratch it out or I'll put some whiteout on it and I'll just write a new number over and everything will be okay well unfortunately the DMV offices pretty much in each state they are they look at this odometer very closely and any kind of alterations or any kind of wideout or anything like that it leads to your title getting scrutinized and not only does it get scrutinized by the DMV but then it also gets scrutinized by the law enforcement arm of the DMV and they start to really investigate your title and determine and try and think you know are you trying to manipulate the DMV are you trying to commit fraud most people don't think about things like that but that's where it can become a big problem as if you start messing around with the odometer and you start scratching the numbers out or you start putting whiteout on this like it becomes a big deal and all are there pretty much every DMV technician in the United States is trained to sit there and scrutinize this area so be very careful when you write down the Adamo tur do write down the odometer down correctly double-check triple-check to make sure that the number you're writing here is is accurate and again all right there are no tenths um in other words if you have a hundred and two thousand thirty five miles do not put down one hundred and two thousand thirty five point five zero okay it's just one hundred two thousand thirty five miles so it's 102 comma zero three five that's it okay you'd be surprised how many people try and put down a mileage down to the tenth and it doesn't quite work that way you don't need to do that and it is not required so in some other areas here right next to the title you'll see three areas they'll say please check one of the following the mileage state is is annex in excess of its mechanical eminent mechanical limits your second option there says the odometer reading is not the actual mileage and then of course you got a big warning sign saying an odometer discrepancy and then you have one right here that says exempt and this says the model year is over nine years old most of the time chances are you do not have to touch any of those boxes and I actually recommend that even if your vehicle is more than nine years old you still don't check that box you don't check any of those boxes the DMV is not going to scrutinize those three boxes if you happen to miss it they will however scrutinize the Adamo Terr but they will not necessarily scrutinize this area if you leave it blank so chances are if you're confused or you're not sure with the put just leave it blank look the most important thing right here is the odometer that's the one that you don't want to mess up so so on the next line down here we have a signature of seller right so you're thinking it great I'll just sign my name there and then you go over here to the right and it says oh pretty name a seller great well we'll just print our name there okay so you're thinking that that's that's fairly simple well it isn't it isn't so the signature is seller yeah that's pretty fairly simple you just sign near your name how you normally sign documents so if you sign your credit card slip when you eat out you just sign your name on a title like you would on a credit card slip when you're when you're eating out takeout or you know anything that's requiring a credit card charge and they always ask you for your signature you just signed your signature however normally you would sign it don't ever change your signature and then over here print a name I saw her and you're thinking oh great my name is John Doe so I'll just say my I'll just print my name here John Doe well not quite and here's why so up here under this little part of the sticky it says owner name and address and actually my name is in here and so is my wife's name so my name actually says my full first name my full middle name all spilled out and my full last name so it doesn't say John Doe my name says John Allen Doe and it's actually all spelled out so you're thinking oh wow ok so what the heck do I put here then well whatever your name says up here if it says John Allen Doe you have to print your name John Allen Doe does that make sense if your name up here under owner name and address says John Doe then you print your name here John Doe if it says John a Doe you would print your name John a Doe ok alright so so now you got all of your information down and you're thinking great I'm I'm good I can go on to the next I can just have the buyer fill it all out and good to go ok well again probably not looking at everything so back up here you'll notice the owner's name and address but then right over here on the right side there's a little word right there it says or and you're thinking what is that ok well here's a situation if say you and your wife or you and your your spouse grandparent parent whoever if your name is on here and your spouse's name is on here or a parent or whoever chances are it's going to say or or it is going to say the word and so in this case mine says or so essentially the way this title reads is it says John or Jane and I'm gonna just use my wife's name and say it's Jane so I'm just gonna give you an example so we'll just say my name is John or Jane well when it says or that means you or your spouse can sell this vehicle illegally so you or your spouse can sign on the seller line and solve a vehicle to anybody including a dealership if you wanted to trade the vehicle in or if you wanted to sell it to you know like I said Craigslist or offer up or you know like I said I don't really recommend those websites but if you choose to go that route you know it is up to you but this makes a huge difference between whether or not one person has to sign the title or if more than one person asked to sign the title now if this word right here said and if it said John and Jane then that means John and Jane now have to sign off on the title because both parties have an equal interest and rights to the vehicle so if your wife or your significant other or your parent or whoever is on the site oh if they pass away and now you says you know let's just say Jane passes away and she dies tragically and now it's just you on this title but Jane is deceased well selling the vehicle kind of got a little bit more difficult for you because now it's going to require some DMV intervention in order for you to get this vehicle sold and that usually requires you bringing in death certificates and all kinds of paperwork that you have to fill out to essentially say that you know this person is no longer alive so it can it can work for you if you're if you don't really trust the person if you don't really trust the person that you're on the title with and you're afraid that they might try and skip out on payments or they might try and sell the vehicle without your permission or you don't want them to be able to sell the vehicle without your permission you would want this to say hand okay if you are in a very trustworthy relationship and you don't feel like the other person would go back behind your back and solve a vehicle without your knowledge then feel free to leave it as an or that's perfectly okay with me and my wife were word were noir so if something happened to me or her she automatically gets rights to the vehicle or vice versa she would you know if something happened to me tragically or if something happened to my wife we would be able to sell this vehicle and we wouldn't have to provide death certificates and fill out paperwork to sit there and say oh yeah this person's deceased and etc etc and what most people don't realize is when you have in the end and there's the person on the title is deceased there's actually usually also a waiting period that DMVs will make you wait through and that can be upwards of 60 to 90 days after the person has deceased before they will let you sell this vehicle so it really does it can work for you but it can work against you so for most people I would always recommend doing the or I'm not a I'm not a legal adviser this is just for your information only so if you have questions like let's say thing maybe the marriage isn't going so well or you just you know you think you're just not certain and you know things are you're kind of a little skeptical of doing it or do it do an end there's an absolutely nothing wrong with doing an end here okay the end comes in handy when you do not want the other person on your title to be able to sell the vehicle without your knowledge if you do not want the person to be able to sell the vehicle without your knowledge this becomes an and because that way if they ever try to sell the vehicle they would have to come to you and say hey I need your signature on this line because I'm man title again two signatures at the minimum are required so if there's two people here or even and there's times where I've seen three people if there's even three people here you would have to have all three parties agree to the sale to agree to sell the vehicle so I hope that kind of cleared things up right there for you on the buyer line when you actually get when you actually have the person that's wanting to buy your vehicle standing in front of you you're gonna want to ask them for their drivers license or their state ID and you're gonna want to watch them fill this out and you're gonna want them to fill this out in front of you so essentially when they go to fill this out they're gonna want to put their full legal name and if they ask you well what's the full legal name you can simply tell them it's simply the name your net your name exactly how it is on your driver's license that is your full legal name okay and over here on the right you'll notice this is Nevada driver's license number or identification number so not all titles have this Nevada does and I also know California does but not all titles in every single state has a special area right here we can put a driver's license number so but you'll notice right there on the buyer line there's an and and an or so if the person asks you anything about that they want to inquire about you know whether or not they should check any Android or just tell them to leave a blank and when they go to their local DMV office they can essentially get their questions answered there and as to how they should check this or you know you can just say hey if you don't want to go to the DMV go to your go to your attorney okay under no circumstances do you really want to provide any kind of legal advice when it comes to titles especially on parts where somebody's buying the vehicle from you here your concern is pretty much just selling it so here you're gonna want the person of course right down there where they live so you know where they lived here 1 2 3 ABC Street San Diego California 9 to 1 to 9 okay so that's just to give you an example and know that wasn't my address I actually don't live anywhere in California so but I just kind of gave this shot an example off there so yeah so hopefully that covers kind of titles there for you on the front one thing you you'll want to really look closely at I probably should have mentioned this early on in the video before you even go through this little lengthy process of filling everything out always check up here and look at vehicle brands and look at odometer brand those two areas are extremely important in years why you don't want the odometer brand to sit there and say not actual miles or odometer discrepancy or you know excess mileage or you know something like that it can say exempt if the odometer brand says exempt that's okay because there there is an exempt brand that that can be on that title so if it says exempt or it says actual miles you're generally okay you shouldn't have any issues vehicle brands though you want to be careful of vehicle brands could be things like salvaged and usually it'll say salvage title so in case you don't really know what a salvage title is that means that the vehicle got into had some damage or got into a serious car accident and the damages were a cost it would cost more to fix or it would cost more to to fix or repair the car then what the vehicle was worth so in that case it most of time stuff like that goes through insurance companies and what they'll do is they'll deem your car a total loss and when they get the title they will brand it as Salvage meaning the vehicles essentially scrap its junk so I would always recommend staying away from salvage brands if you can sometimes you will see on there on a salvage brand it might also say rebuilt that essentially just means that the title at one point was salvaged the the vehicle was a salvage title meaning that the cost of the repairs was more than what the vehicle was worth and the next person or the dealer or whoever decided to buy the vehicle and essentially try and bring it up the specs so sometimes you will see rebuilt that's just kind of a fancy way of saying hey this vehicle was the total loss and we simply tried to rebuild it I I don't know I guess you know it kind of really depends on your budget whether or not you get a rebuilt vehicle you know if you have a rebuilt labeled on here on our vehicle brands but if you can avoid it I would recommend avoiding it any kind of brands under vehicle brands if there's any kind of writing under here I would stay away from the vehicle if were in if I were in any one of your shoes if you're looking to buy a vehicle yeah to definitely stay away from vehicles that have any brands and and that's that's that's my opinion on that you know again that obviously it also depends on your budget what kind of vehicle you're looking for what you can afford and I understand that you know since the economy crashed you know things are things quite are not quite having quite you know their people's salaries I'm not quite returned through for some people so you know maybe the only thing you can afford is a rebuilt so yeah you know just just kind of be aware of that you know do your do your homework do your research if you see a rebuilt don't be afraid to have like your local mechanic check the vehicle out just to make sure he doesn't see anything wrong with it you know it doesn't hurt okay so on the backside so this the backside is generally reserved for dealerships so under no circumstances when when somebody like me if I wanted to sell my vehicle right now and I wanted it wanted to sell it to you I wouldn't feel anything back here on the back because this all says dealer only okay all of this information back here is for dealerships meaning Toyota Subaru Ford the Ford the big Ford dealerships in your towns or or even small car dealerships there are the ones that fill out the stuff back here okay nobody if you're if I'm solving vehicle to you personally you should not see any of my writing back here under reassignments okay that's kind of the key word there is if it says reassignment because sometimes you might see that on the front of a title usually it's on the back but you know the key word there is if you see anything says reassignment that's not good and that actually can cause you more stress in paperwork if you're the seller or the buyer because that means you know if you fill out anything back here again that's more paperwork for you so kind of stay away from anything in boxes that's a reassignment now down here below if I'm selling a vehicle to you in you're paying me cash you know for you know let's say I say hey I want $10,000 for my vehicle and you give me the full $10,000 in cash great you know you've you've paid the vehicle you've paid me what I feel the vehicle is worth and I might take my ten thousand dollars and I go to the bank and I cash and I'm happy go-lucky but now you're thinking hey there's there's a lien holder section back here what do we do with that well technically it is a seller's responsibility to write the word none so if I sell a vehicle to you and I say hey the purchase price of this vehicle is ten grand and you hand me excuse me and if you hand me ten thousand dollars it is my responsibility as a seller to write the word none meaning essentially you don't owe me any payments now there is a few instances especially here in Nevada when I used to work you would have times where family members would go and purchase a vehicle for a family member or a friend and you know they would because you know let's just all take an example let's say I go and buy a vehicle for my kid for my son and I want my son to pay me back because I went bought a vehicle for him so I spent you know ten or twenty thousand dollars on a vehicle and my name is gonna be on the title but you know let's say I don't want my child to have the ability to sell it and I want him to make payments back to me well what you would do is if you want your child to make payments back to you and you want your child on this title or your spouse or your ex maybe but I'm going to use I'm going to take an example and say my child you know if I want my name and his name to be on this title you would want to add your name down here as lien holder so if you're the parent and you're buying your child a car and you want them to make monthly payments to you well you would want to make sure that your name goes down here on the lien holder line along with your home address and there right there it says Fei Yan Fei yen alt number don't worry about that those are typically reserved for corporations dealerships the the primary thing that you want to worry about is the name and the address so

How do you make a document that has an electronic signature?

How do you make this information that was not in a digital format a computer-readable document for the user? " "So the question is not only how can you get to an individual from an individual, but how can you get to an individual with a group of individuals. How do you get from one location and say let's go to this location and say let's go to that location. How do you get from, you know, some of the more traditional forms of information that you are used to seeing in a document or other forms. The ability to do that in a digital medium has been a huge challenge. I think we've done it, but there's some work that we have to do on the security side of that. And of course, there's the question of how do you protect it from being read by people that you're not intending to be able to actually read it? " When asked to describe what he means by a "user-centric" approach to security, Bensley responds that "you're still in a situation where you are still talking about a lot of the security that is done by individuals, but we've done a very good job of making it a user-centric process. You're not going to be able to create a document or something on your own that you can give to an individual. You can't just open and copy over and then give it to somebody else. You still have to do the work of the document being created in the first place and the work of the document being delivered in a secure manner."

How to manually sign a pdf?

A: It requires a little time and an understanding of your computer's setup. It does not, in fact, require a specific PDF viewer. There are multiple browsers which can handle PDF files natively. It also requires that you know what kind of printer you have to have it printed on. In some computers you might need to have Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer open when you open a file in the pdf viewer. For instance, in Windows I recommend the free PDF Expert. It allows you to view a PDF on your machine in real-time and print out the PDF directly from the pdf viewer. If, however, you have Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer and do not want to see it's contents in the pdf viewer, you can right click on the PDF file and select "View Source" to get the source code and the code to make this program. Then you can just open the source and paste it into whatever pdf viewer you prefer to use. Q: What is the difference between an image and a vector art document? A: As a rule of thumb in a typical image, the background will be either solid or a color, a character will be either in the shape of a triangle, circle, rectangle or square, and some or all of the other characters will have a shape. In a typical vector art document the characters will be shapes. Q: What is a graphic image? A: A graphic image is a computer drawing that is meant to have a physical (paper) representation. It does not necessarily have to be on paper (it could simply be a web page or web page template), but if i...
