all right everybody uh i've got noon thank you so much for joining us my name is mark enriquez i'm a partner with wumbo bond dickinson i do business litigation today we're going to be talking about transacting in a remote work environment with a focus on electronic transactions and electronic signatures i think particularly in an era of covid this is an important topic when more and more work has to be done remotely so we're going to dig into some of the requirements that surround electronic signatures we're excited to have you with us here today let me go over a few logistics before we get into the meat of the presentation first of all if you have questions we invite you to submit them using the q a box that you see on your screen we do thank those of you that already submitted questions in advance we're going to try to address those during our presentation today we also have this approved to get cle credit in north carolina in order to comply with those requirements you'll have to identify and submit three different codes during the course of this presentation they're bright red i promise they're easy to see they will be on slides when you see them all you need to do is submit that information in fact you'll get a polling question that will say submit code number one you simply type in the code that you see on the screen you'll do that again for the other two codes if you have problems entering them and you don't get the polling question just write down those codes and you can submit that to ashley laney and we'll make sure you get approved for credit also there's always uncertainty anytime you're doing a remote presentation so if there are any technical glitches please bear with us we'll get back online just as soon as we can so um i'm excited to have everybody here with us today and let's go ahead i thought we'd start with some introductions my partner jackie camp has joined us jackie's an experienced corporate lawyer who focuses on both lenders and borrowers doing debt finance transactions she works with private equity companies non-traditional lenders government agencies and business clients of the firm and i know she's got good practical advice to share with us today about how to address some of these challenges um elise young is also going to be presenting she does a lot of work with both lenders and borrowers as well and joseph state counsels clients on a wide range of business matters including corporate and commercial transactions and does uh corporate finance so um well i'm the litigator these are the actual business lawyers that know know the information about electronic signatures and and i'm excited to have them sharing that information with you today we also have some polling questions uh for you uh to help make sure you keep engaged and...
