welcome to the state of Nevada unemployment insurance online claim filing system UI Envy this video is part one in a series to help guide you through the online filing process for unemployment insurance benefits at UI NV govt in this video we will be walking through the steps to register as a new claimant you can use the website you I envy govt to file an unemployment insurance claim register and apply for benefits file your weekly claim for benefits check on the status of your claim this will be your resource for additional information the first step in the online claims process is to create a new online claimant account you will need to create the username and password provide other basic information and set your security question and a security image we will begin the process by navigating to you inv gov using your internet browser first click on the tab titled for UI claimants next at the upper right hand corner click on new claimant registration on the claimant registration screen you will need to complete all required fields which are marked with the red asterisk make sure you use your full legal name and enter your information as accurately as possible create a user name that is unique to you and one that you can easily remember your user name must be between 8 and 20 characters and lengths must contain only alphanumeric characters and cannot contain any spaces you will be creating a password the more complex your password is the greater the security strength you will also create a four-digit pin finally you will need to read the website Terms of Use Agreement once you have completed reading this section click the box that you accept the agreement click Next when you're ready to proceed double-check your name date of birth and social security number any mistake may cause significant delays in processing your claim if you need to correct the information displayed click the back button if the information is correct click Submit congratulations your claimant account has been successfully established to complete the registration process you will need to log in using the username and password you have created and setup your security profile on the claimant login screen enter your newly created username and click continue enter your password and click enter this screen describes the process for establishing your security profile be sure to read the information on this screen then click continue a preview of your system generated security image and phrase is displayed if you'd like you can change your security image and phrase by clicking the image in phrase link when you're satisfied with your security image and phrase click continue next you will need to select three questions and answers to establish your security profile choose a question from the drop down list for each selection box and type your response in the answer field to the right click the submit button to continue complete all the fields on the personal information screen and click Next to continue the required fields are marked with a red asterisk enter your current mailing address you'll also need to provide a residential address if different than your mailing address few boxes cannot be used as residential addresses choose the appropriate address from the address search result next you will enter your contact information make sure you choose your preferred method of contact either mail or email and click Next complete all the required fields in the demographics screen these questions are for statistical purposes only and will not affect your claim if your answer is no to the citizen question you'll be required to provide your alien ID number along with the expiration date make sure you have this information available click Next to continue on the employer screen select one of your previous employers then click the next button it is possible that your employer may be listed under their corporate name you can find the corporate name on your w-2 or paycheck stub congratulations you have now completed the new claimant registration process the unemployment insurance benefits estimator screen is a preliminary assessment of your potential eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits be sure to read all the information displayed on this screen as it could affect your potential benefit amount it is recommended that you print this screen so you'll have the information available for your records if you are ready to continue to establish your initial claim click on the continue to file claim button at the bottom of the screen make sure you watch part 2 in this video series to walk you through the next step applying for benefits
