important requirement of using unemployment insurance online services enter your username and password on our secure login at my dot unemployment Wisconsin gov when you log in you will arrive on your unemployment insurance summary also known as your dashboard select file weekly certification when filing your weekly claim for unemployment benefits certain information may be requested from you please collect this information before you start the weekly claim the week's available for you will be displayed on this page if multiple weeks are displayed you will complete the weeks starting with the oldest week if you have more than one week available to claim once you've claimed the first week you'll be returned to this page you can monitor your progress in the progress menu the section you are in will be highlighted in blue a completed section will be green with a checkmark you may use the menu to go back to a section that you've already completed by selecting that section several questions will be asked to determine your readiness for work such as whether you are attending school your availability and your ability to work a red box will appear to clarify what answering a specific way means to make sure you are not answering an error when you have performed any work for any employer during the week you are required to report the wages earned and hours worked when you've performed work in a week you may select from the list of employers which you have worked for previously or select none of the above when you need to report a new employer you will be taken to a page to select the type of employer you perform work for during the week like a Wisconsin employer a federal employer military active duty and out-of-state employer etc your selection here will take you to an employer search page or a page for more employment details the employer search page allows you to find Wisconsin employers by searching by name type the name of the employer and select search or you can limit your search by selecting advanced search which allows you to enter an address city and state of the employer if you have difficulty locating the correct employer please use the search tips at the top of the page when filing a weekly claim you must report all hours worked and wages earned for the week being claimed so for this example any hours worked between Sunday June 4th 2017 through Saturday June 10th 2017 make sure to report all hours and minutes worked for each employer wages include any type of pay for full-time or part-time work you do in the week this includes cash payments tips commissions working off of a bill etc wages must be reported in the week they are earned even if they have not been paid you are required to report other earnings for the week like holiday vacation bonus etc but will be asked for those earnings separately from your wages as a result of Governor Ivers emergency order you do not need to do a work search during the governor's declared emergency the department is in the process of making the necessary updates no action is needed on your part regarding the work search the work search information requested is specific to the work search action selected for example if the contact is filled out application and on the work search detail it is indicated that the application was submitted through the employers website the page will require the employers web address if a field does not indicate that it is optional than it is required and you will not be able to move on until the information is complete the claim review allows you to view your answers and make changes when needed the weekly certification summary on the claim review creates a printable record of the claim and allows you to review and print your answers before the claim is submitted once the summary has been reviewed for accuracy it is just a matter of submitting the claim and following any instructions given with the certification confirmation once you receive the certification confirmation you have completed your weekly claim for the given week continue filing weekly claims for each week you are unemployed or reduced hours if
