starting in September 2013 the Texas Department of Public Safety has allowed instructors and users to upload their information electronically rather than having to make up a packet and mail in the information this video is going to show you how that works so you go to the Texas Department of Public Safety website you're going to go to the concealed handgun section you're going to click on that and if you have a form that you have to upload like a certificate of training or some other sort of attachment for your application you click on concealed handgun go to the concealed handgun page go down to contact us select a program you can see they have all the DPS regulated programs here you're going to select concealed handgun you're going to scroll down and you'll notice all the mailing information but what is right after that is what we're interested in and that is the information to submit information electronically now you have to fill out all of your information in regard to what it is that you're going to be uploading or what information you're contacting the department with so you can select new application renewal process there's also status question fees etc you would select new application you're going to fill in all of this information you're going to fill in your driver's license date of birth your handgun license number or social security number any information that you want to enter for a question if you're attaching a form you would type in here submitting and then insert the name of the form down below here you're going to attach the files so to attach file it's real simple just select choose a file you're going to go find the file on your desktop and you're going to locate the file click on that file say open it's going to attach it right here you're going to click this upload button which is going to attach it to the email and then you're going to click the form that says or click the button that says submit form everything's filled out it's going to submit that to DPS for you just as if you would have mailed the form okay once you click upload all your information is there it has a little green notice right here that tells you that it's received form then you're going to hit submit form it goes to the state of Texas everybody's happy and your work is done you'll receive an email a few minutes later from the state of Texas stating that they've received your email so look for that in your inbox and you've gotten finished okay if you have any other questions about concealed handgun licenses or firearms in general please leave the questions or comments down below and I'll try to answer them or go visit our website
