be so important if the EPA comes knocking and asking for your information so let's go ahead and click on the admin area of the program here and what you're going to see is there's a little text link down here called lead paint and when I go in there you're going to see this is where you tell market sharp a little bit about your company and go ahead and let market sharp know that that you're certified who your certified renovators are and who the workers are they're going to work on these projects that you have to keep records on so when you get certified and I'm guessing most of you are already certified most companies are I don't see a whole lot of companies and compete comply so when it comes to actually doing the work and record-keeping right but most of us are certified right now so what you do is you just go in there and you put in your company information you can put in your certification number and you can go ahead and attach your certification document so it's right here in market sharp sword you need to access it for any reason and then what you can do is you can go ahead and add additional certified renovators simply by clicking on add or you can edit them by clicking here and put a nurse certification number and all that kind of stuff and also your workers you can put them in here one by one and make sure you got record of who is involved in all this work you're doing making shirts and compliance with the rules so that's how you set up market sharp to help you with that so now what I want to talk about a little bit of some of the forms that are available in mark and sharp em to make sure you're in compliance and actually put you on a track systems wise to make sure you're getting this work done right so I'm into customer area here a marker char but I'm gonna go ahead and click on the print assistant and i'm gonna click on the print wizard you're going to see in there if i click on letter files you're going to see we got a whole bunch of lead paint forms in here that are all set up to do exactly what you need do to keep the records necessary to be in compliance so as you can see here we got a couple here here's one called lead surcharge acceptance form and there's a lead post-renovation form and there's a whole bunch of things in here to make sure you're in compliance and these are the kind of forms that are required by the EPA that you keep track of and what's need in my crotch our families you just simply come in here click select then you simply print it and emerges in the home owner's name and information on there and those are the forms that are necessary for you to gather up to remain in compliance so they're all built in the program you don't have these things kind of scattered around in notebooks and stuff like that so now let's talk about the final thing which is pretty much the tracking part of this and record-keeping part of it and that's the important part so I'm going to go back to the contacts area and we're on a contact record here a customer somebody that bought from you called Lloyd Abrams and here's a job that we're doing for Lloyd it's a window and siding job if you notice here we get a little icon it looks like a little paint Paint Bucket representing our lead paint functionality within market sharp em so if I click on that you're going to see it takes me to a screen and this is all filled now but this is where you pull all the information in that you need to track and this one's pretty cool up here you need to know how old the house is because if it's built prior to nineteen seventy eight it falls under a lot of these rules so you want to know how all these houses are if I click on this little icon next to that it actually reaches out to a service online that drags the address with it in this case it successfully found that that house was built in nineteen seventy six so I go ahead and just sex that out it puts the date in there the home-built and you're pretty much good to go on to know where you sit with how old that house is and then you continue on with your data entry and what's important here was the home pre-1978 of course the answer there is yes after you do a test you can put in whether or not lead paint was found and if it's not found you take a different path but it is found you take you know a path that make sure you're in compliance the housing type whether single-family multifamily or unknown whether there's children occupied that can make a difference the certified firm is certified renovator that's overseeing the job and the workers then down here is all your documentation and this is the important part because the fee if the EPA does come knocking they really want to know this stuff and they want to see these forms to prove that you did this stuff so while those forms we printed out earlier what you do with them as you get them filled out and you record the information as you go through the project then you scan them not simple then you come here where it says add document and then you just browse to where that scanned jpg is on your computer and you attach it right to this customer record and then you have access to these things anytime you wish for example if I click on this link here it takes me to this particular form so all the forms are there so I EPA comes banging on your door you're going to be able to say okay here's that job and here's all the information and it's all right in front of them and if you don't think that's going to happen you really need to think this through because now we're all certified they have all of our numbers just like the IRS has a social security and they're going to start spot checking us guys in the remodeling industry to make sure we're in compliance so it's so important
