We can find any information we need in our notes almost instantly. If the data isn't amenable to Ctrl-F on the operating system, we can go beneath it. So say I have a TON of patient notes in a directory on my machine, and I'm looking for some cases in particular, I can use the terminal to look for all files containing say... motor vehicle accident trauma patients: grep -i "([^MVA]*).*" / That beats the heck out of reading through someone else's (or even your own) cursive, print, or shorthand.
