And that could create problems for the president in a presidential election, says former Senator Joseph I. Lieberman (I). He's now chairman of the Nuclear Threat Initiative, and he says the public could perceive the nuclear accord as another Obama administration "failure."
The agreement, he says, "has a way of looking like a step away from American sovereignty and a step toward foreign control over American policy."
