Why is HubSpot better than WordPress?
There are many CMS platforms today. Among these, Wordpress is definitely one of the most popular. It’s a mature product and with a wide availability of plugins, it meets virtually every need. When HubSpot published their CMS, they coined the term ‘content optimisation system’ (COS). It differs from a traditional CMS in two ways: firstly, it holistically integrates a wide selection of tools, pages, and features, from web pages, landing pages, and blogs to calls-to-action, social elements, workflows, and more.Secondly, it allows you to create personalised experiences for clients. At a time when personalisation and tailored messaging was huge, this was a very big deal.Which is better suited to you?Whether you’re an SME or a large enterprise, the problem isn’t which is better, but which is better suited to you.You can use both solutions to manage your website and online marketing efforts. The difference lies in how the two platforms facilitate this. The entire HubSpot platform is built around an inbound marketing methodology. If inbound marketing is an important part of your digital strategy, or if you would like it to be, HubSpot is almost certainly your best choice. So where does that leave Wordpress? As a fully customisable CMS, you can use this platform in a variety of ways to achieve different ends. From posts and pages to categories and multimedia objects, you can make the platform your own.The value of HubSpot is in the ready-to-use ecosystem, designed specifically to monitor the buyer's journey, combined with HubSpot CRM to track sales and the transformation of the visitor into a customer. In the end, the real question you must ask yourself is: ‘am I choosing the right system for me?’The differences between HubSpot and WordpressBLOGHubspot: The HubSpot blog is tightly integrated with all HubSpot tools, including call-to-actions, contact lists and workflows. It’s also linked to the RSS feed and the email signature tool for subscribing to updates. HubSpot frequently updates it in line with business developments and Google’s algorithm updates, so you can be sure it’s following current best practice.Wordpress: Wordpress has a standard blog platform where in a short time you can start writing and posting. On the downside, there’s no native integration with other tools. All additional features need plugins. These are separate from each other and have different operating logic.LANDING PAGESHubSpot: With the HubSpot Landing Page Tool, users can easily add new pages that can work together with lists and workflows. Landing pages can also be customised based on the buyer's journey or a user list. In addition, landing pages can be monitored using a convenient tool that lets you see which pages people have viewed and links the data to overall site reporting. More data means a clearer understanding of what your customers are interested in and how you can optimise your page to engage them! Furthermore, whether you're a business that has a relationship with other businesses or you work directly with consumers, the contacts tool in HubSpot is a central database for keeping track of all the people and companies that have a relationship with your business.Wordpress: Wordpress has two post categories: site pages and blog posts. To create a landing page it’s necessary to use a plugin and configure it. Any customizations to the theme, or ensuring it’s responsive, can require a developer with knowledge of PHP. Obviously, it’s not integrated into any marketing stream. So the newsletter will have its plugin with its users, banners with calls-to-action will have their own plugin and their own stats, and so on…WEBSITE PAGESHubSpot: The HubSpot site pages are integrated with the social media publishing stream, Call-To-Action Generator, and SEO tools. Marketing professionals can create websites without needing to use a single line of code, using the drag-and-drop template editor. HubSpot's website and landing pages can also be password protected, giving you the ability to control who can see the content on a specific page. This is often useful when creating thank you pages and resource download pages.Wordpress: Wordpress allows you to create drafts and schedule publication for a time and date of your choice. There are hundreds more features to choose from through the various plugins you can install. It should be mentioned at this point that plugins weigh down the site. At best, this entails a decrease in upload speed. At worst, SEO indexing and overall user experience is compromised. In 2010, Google announced that website speed would impact search rankings. While site speed isn't the primary focus of SEO efforts, it can impact organic rankings, thus traffic. When Googlebot crawls your site, having a site that responds quickly will allow more efficient indexing, which is key to achieving success in the organic search rankings. If you’re creating simple pages with basic functions, this shouldn’t be a problem.EASE OF PAGE DESIGNHubSpot: HubSpot has an easy-to-use, WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that allows you to work on the preview of a page and gives you the ability to view thumbnails on mobile devices and tablets. Even calls-to-action can be created very easily without the need for code. Additionally, a secure sockets layer (SSL) can be added at no extra cost, giving another layer of security to your site.Wordpress: Wordpress offers a generous selection of themes. Some of these are free, others you will need to buy. The usability, efficiency, and even security of these also varies between templates, so you’re advised to test several and choose the one that best suits your needs. If you want a WYSIWYG editor with integrated CTAs and drag-and-drop design in the spirit of HubSpot, there’s another plugin for this.SEOHubSpot: HubSpot has its roots in SEO. The management system has been built to meet Google's demands and keeps up to date with the latest search optimisation trends. As such, you won’t need to rely on a consultant to advise you on changes when the Google updates its algorithm. HubSpot takes care of it all for you.Wordpress: Wordpress is not born with integrated SEO capabilities, but there’s a handy—yes, you’ve guessed it—plugin you can install for this. To keep this up to date and working as intended, you’ll need to make changes to the graphics template whenever Google releases an algorithm update.DATA CAPTUREHubSpot: HubSpot was designed with the goal of nurturing visitors into customers. Data collation and performance monitoring is a huge part of how it achieves this. Using the platform, you’ll be able to contextualise and segment your contacts, enriching profiles with as much information as possible so you know exactly who you’re targeting and how to engage them.Wordpress: Wordpress offers broader strokes. It’s able to show the number of visits you’ve received each day/week/month, as well as geographical and behavioural data like country of origin, best posts, and where clicks have arrived from. Furthermore, many Wordpress users can make use of Google Analytics, but HubSpot takes this further by giving indepth analytics on individual customers once they are known to you.CONTACT LIST, EMAIL AND WORKFLOWHubSpot: The HubSpot email tool utilises integration with contact lists and workflows to make it more powerful. By using lists, you can create Smart Lists that populate over time depending on the actions made by the contacts on the site. For example, you can create a list of people who clicked on an email, visited the price page or mentioned you on social media. Workflows allow you to create automated actions in order to interact with them at the ideal time of their buyer's journey.Wordpress: Wordpress doesn’t provide lists, contacts, emails, or workflows. There are always plugins, but there isn’t one that integrates everything, and each function works separately, without allowing a common dashboard for management or analysis.SOCIAL MEDIAHubSpot: By using HubSpot Social Inbox, you can create segmented streams of customer-based Tweets and monitor the use of a specific keyword on Twitter to help you engage with relevant audiences. You can also follow contacts you have in the database and engage with them across various channels to aid lead nurturing. Within HubSpot you can monitor, share, and get involved in the conversation with customers in social media all with the context of your marketing database.Wordpress: Wordpress doesn’t have a feature for integrated social media. Again, you need to download third-party plugins, which can be used to replicate some features.CUSTOMER SERVICEHubSpot: HubSpot has a full support team to answer all your questions. There’s also an active community from which you can draw information: forums, HubSpot user groups and localised resources across different nations, LinkedIn groups, and a certified partner network.Wordpress: Wordpress also has a large community of users behind the platform, and a plethora of consultants and professionals selling Wordpress services. With so many plugins available, you’re going to want to research their uses and research other users’ experiences before becoming too reliant on them.TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONSHubSpot: HubSpot has Inbound Marketing Consultants, Account Managers and highly qualified Academy Professors dedicated to training and education. The HubSpot blog and the Marketing Library provide resources for continuous education. Their wide range of certifications help you look at specific topics in depth, including the platform itself.Wordpress: Wordpress has forums and documentation available to help with training. In addition, it provides access to free resources on their product.SECURITYHubSpot: All client web sessions are encrypted using an SSL certificate with a 256-bit AES key. Security measures include the following:Firewalls and dedicated VPN servicesIntrusion Detection SystemsWeb Application FirewallDDoS mitigation servicesSecure network scanning through third-party services, including McAfee ScanAlert and TrustWaveLog logging of all access applications and web serversWordpress: Protecting your site on Wordpress requires more attention and, of course, several plugins. To keep your Wordpress site secure, it’s advised to follow best practice:Upgrading to the latest Wordpress version can repair known vulnerabilitiesTo improve security, consider disabling the theme editorRely on a trusted web hosting serviceMake continuous site backups to save content if the site is hackedUPDATESHubSpot: The HubSpot engineers team performs daily updates, experimenting with new solutions to improve user productivity.Wordpress: Wordpress has a great open-source team. However, due to its nature, it needs frequent updates that need to be made by users. Third-party plugins are also updated, each with its own logic and frequency, with no direct correlation to the Wordpress developer team. Here, problems of version compatibility may arise, meaning a simple update can cause technical problems that you may need to rely on expert support for to resolve.COSTHubSpot: As an all-in-one platform, you’re required to pay an annual feethat includes a SSL certificate and platform services (newsletter, SEO, Workflow, Form, Call-To-Action, Analysis, and much more). With this initial cost in mind, 72% of customers say their sales increased in the first year.Wordpress: Open-source does not mean free. When calculating the cost of Wordpress, it’s important to consider the manual hours you can expect to put in installing plugins and configuring your site for your business. This is on top of paying for the hosting, edits to the CSS, tracking platform updates and making backups.HubSpot COS vs Wordpress CMS: the verdictWordpress is a great platform, and for years it was the default choice of many companies for several reasons:It’s a mature and complete CMSIt's easier to develop with Wordpress than other systemsThere is a large community of supportIn my opinion, Wordpress is currently the platform to choose from if:You are a startup who is just getting going and doesn't have the budget for a bigger platform (even in this case HubSpot has alternative pricing options for some startups. You can speak to us to find the best solution for you business. Also, check out our case study on how we helped the Dealer app to implement Hubspot in their business.)You want to build a personal blog or some sort of internal wiki within the company (HubSpot may be oversized)When it comes to building a website to generate leads, however, it's clear that HubSpot is the best choice.Integrated all-in-one systemIntuitive interface designed for those who do marketingIntegrated, optimised hosting based on a CDNNo need to updateNo plugin neededManage multiple domains from a single loginSSL native encryptionAutomatic backupFully integrated email managementIntegrated CRM for enterprise and contact managementAnd most importantly, it allows you to understand the buyer's journey for every single visitor, allowing you to know where he or she comes from, where they go and what they doWe often talk about customising content. The COS of HubSpot is a valuable tool for segmenting content based on all the marketing data collected. It can be done based on the actions that users have previously made on the site, allowing you to differentiate content depending on the various interests.Take these three examples:Smart call-to-actions: HubSpot allows you to change the CTAs according to the actions previously made on the site by the visitors. For example, if a visitor has already downloaded an eBook, you can change the CTA to invite him to download another, depending on his potential interests.Smart content: In addition to the call-to-action, other content may also be modified by using the data collected from visitors to show them different content in harmony with their interests, or their position in the buyer's journey.Smart forms: A smart form enables you to collect more information from a user who already has their basic information stored on our platform, giving you more insights into who they are and what makes them tick, without overwhelming them with too many questions straight away.TLDR:Are you sure that building leads for your business is not a primary necessity? How about nurturing those leads into customers? If the answer is 'I want my website to attract and convert customers' then you should have no doubts as to which platform is right for you.Wordpress is great for personal blogs, integration with WooCommerce for easy e-commerce and more complex content management capabilities with a rich database functionality, but HubSpot COS is holistic. The end isn’t just website or content management, like a CMS, but the ability to manage, optimise and integrate every digital marketing component together. For a company driving towards a sophisticated digital marketing strategy, HubSpot is the better choice.PS: If you’re interested in HubSpot’s potential to transform your business but you already have a Wordpress site, and you don’t want to waste all the time and work gone into it, don’t worry. You can integrate your existing Wordpress site with HubSpot, enhancing the functionality of your existing platform while dedicating yourself to a determined web marketing process. This answer was part-written by Savio Campitiello, our in-house designer. How do I start a profitable drop shipping business?
Starting a drop shipping business has never been as easy as it is nowadays.Trust me, with the tools I'm going to give you in this answer you will be able to launch an eCommerce store full of products in less than 30 minutes. But before answering this question I want to make sure you know the difference between Alibaba and AliExpress. Meanwhile, both marketplaces belong to Alibaba group, for a drop shipping business one would use AliExpress since Alibaba is for bulk orders only.Four steps to launching an eCommerce store full of products in less than 30 minutes:Domain ($0.99):At first, you will need to get your store a domain name to host your website (www). Just go to Godaddy and pick one which suits your store best.Shopify: ($29/month)Now you need to create an online store. Shopify is hands down the best and easiest to use eCommerce platform with thousands of useful apps crafted to make your business as much of a smooth sailing as possible. And forget about hiring expensive web developers, with hundreds of themes you can have a top notch looking online store without hassle.Oberlo: ($14.90 – $79.90/month)Before using Oberlo app, the main downside of a drop shipping business was its manual nature. Time-consuming procedures such as importing products and fulfilling vast amount of orders each day were horrendous and keeps haunting me in dreams to this day.Good news, though, now you can forget about it and add thousands of items straight from AliExpress in minutes. You know what's even better? Oberlo keeps a track of your inventory, and if supplier pulls out a listing, or runs out of stock, you will never sell these items. Also, Oberlo notifies you about any price changes, so you're always in charge.Same applies to order fulfillment. You don't need to manually fill in each order with your customer's address since Oberlo places an order automatically. It's a noteworthy fact, though; Oberlo is currently available on Shopify onlyAliExpress Account:Lastly, you will need to create an AliExpress account. Since you will be importing products to your Shopify store with the Oberlo app straight from Aliexpress.com catalog.Hope this helps! And let me know if you have decided to use Oberlo yourself :)

How do I start a dropshipping business?
The best plan is to never start one. Drop shipping businesses are like underwear that fit at first but then as you grow larger the underwear stays the same size. What would happen? The underwear would end up cutting into your skin making you uncomfortable and if you’re unlucky, it would cut off circulation to your important bits turning them purple. The drop shipping business is a solution for creating the smallest type of business that due to its nature, cannot grow with you.Creating value always has a future and that future can always be brighter and your achievements larger. Creating value means doing something new no one has done before either by improving a service or product, or inventing a new type of product or service.I picked sex toys as my niche and invented several products that improve men’s lives. I added value through strange marketing and years later, my products are for sale in thousands of stores around the world plus many websites.I could have been a drop shipper, as there is one popular drop shipping service in my niche. I would have pushed other people’s products around, competing with thousands of other people doing the same thing, earning smaller and smaller margins. Drop ship products are all commodities and while there may be less competitive niches, if there is profit available, all niches become less and less profitable down to zero. That’s competition.Who gets rich from it? The owner of the dropship company and pretty much that’s it. A few people do manage to suck a bit of value off of the company like plankton on a whale. But who wants to live as a plankton? Plankton just survive. The only people who tell you how amazing dropshipping is are people who make money off of telling you that. Platforms, authors, and owners of dropshipping companies are the main culprits, and unsurprisingly they are all over Quora because they need a constant stream of new believers.Do yourself the biggest favor ever. Invent something new. Anything. And then figure out how to sell it. It’s harder than drop shipping but you’ll control your own destiny.

How much money do I need to start an E-business, E-store, Amazon fulfillment, seller, or drop-shipping business?
Each one of those can be different.Dropshipping is the cheapest. As you don’t carry inventory costs. All you need is the cost for the domain/hosting and you are good to go.Other eCommerce (or any online selling) that you stock your own product (non-dropshipping) vary. It depends on the product wholesale cost. The only other costs you need to consider is advertising/marketing costs. Such as Facebook Ads, Google Adwords, Instagram influencer costs. This varies also. Anywhere from $5/day to $500/day. It depends on your ability to market. Then you have selling costs, transaction fees, merchant selling fees, paypal/credit card fees that have to do when you process a payment on a sale, but that comes after. You can get a domain and email for under $15/year at most places on sale. Then you need to decide if you want web hosting (wordpress) or managed hosting like (shopify). For new business owners, I personally recommend using Shopify. It’s a monthly cost.Shopify has a 14 day free trial that you can try out and see if you like it.Other then that, there isn’t too much up-front costs you need. Most of all advertising/marketing you do at the start can be done organically for free (while you learn/research paid methods). That’s enough to get you started. It’s a marathon, not a race. There is no get rich scheme when it comes to business.I’ve taken the time to write out some really valuable information for dropshipping with Shopify below. There isn’t really and hacks, or short cuts when it comes to dropshipping. Just solid advice onto how to properly run a real dropshipping business. Here are 10 dropshipping rules you need to follow if you want to make it:Ship a faster method and with tracking.Nothing destroys a business more then slow shipping. Especially when dropshipping from China. You can get away with shipping ‘for free’ using regular post from China (2–3 months) for a while, but long term, it will destroy you.The negative reviews will start racking up. You’ll lose your credit card processing companies. You’ll get Paypal restricted. You’ll get penalized by your merchant account. Your Facebook/Instagram accounts will get shut down. It’s not worth it.You need to ship fast. This means the slowest you can offer is e-packet (1–3 weeks maximum). You need to always upload tracking. This is the only way to make it in dropshipping.Understand Perceived Value. Most dropshippers don’t know what this term means. Perceived Value is when you are making the product have a value that is perceived by the buyer. With the right title, description, image, MSRP and discounted price, you can make any product look appealing to any customer. The goal is to make that $2.99 item you buy from China look and sell like a $18.99 item. You do this by giving it a greater perceived value. But you also need to be sure that when the buyer receives it in person, that they are satisfied. And also that the item is good quality to match that perceived value.Spend time researching the best title (making it unique from your competitors). Spend time writing an amazing description, and having a great layout for it.Order a test product yourself and take your own images. This really sets the amateurs apart from the pros. Amateurs just list, grab items and start listing, from any supplier. This is just bad business practice. It’s important to always order one of each item yourself. You need to test shipping times, processing times. How the item is packed. The quality of the item. But most importantly, take your own photos. This sets you apart. This is the difference from a 4-figure dropshipping store to a 7–8 figure dropshipping store. Your own photos will be 100x better then stock photos, which increases your perceived value. You also need that product to make videos. Video advertising can be upwards of 10x cheaper then image advertising (think Facebook ads).REALLY IMPORTANT: Never sell an item you wouldn’t sell to your friends/family. If you are ashamed of the item because its a poor quality item and wouldn’t market it to your friends/family, then don’t sell it to a stranger. You need to be proud of what you sell.Don’t forget about email marketing.Email marketing is a powerful tool. Everytime someone visits your site, goes on your social media, ads to cart, or even buys, try to get their email. It’s important to give your audience value.Value is where you are not just advertising products. Don’t just send out email blasts to your list for sales, and new products. Give your readers engaging value. These are emails where you tell your audience a story, give them something just to read. So that they’ll continue to get value from your marketing, without having to buy. They’ll stay hooked and engaged to your email blasts. It’s also great to do surveys, polls, giveaways, and more in between emails, and coupon codes. As well as new products, and advertising. Keep a nice balance.Post daily on social media, and blog. One thing that you need to start doing is posting on all social media. That’s Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter. You need to do this daily. Everyday, even if you have a small audience, and small engagement.Start early, and get in the habit of learning what works, and what doesn’t. Get in the habit of doing it daily.Same thing with blogging. Write a short blog, with image, every day, 7 days a week.Start building up your brand image, your brand history, and SEO. Make sure your tags, hashtags, and all links between your site and social accounts are all there.Prepare to work 60, 70+ hours a week.Dropshipping is like any other business. It takes hard work and dedication to succeed. A lot of people are attracted to dropshipping because they think they can run a business only working 10 hours a week. This is far from the truth. Once you are successful, and have half a dozen staff members running the business for you, then you can cut back and work 10 hours a week. But when it’s just you, you’ll need to eat, sleep and breathe your business. It’s a very highly competitive business model.Be constantly learning. There is a lot of information out there about dropshipping. It’s your job to sift through it all and weed out the bull crap. And trust the real pros, 80% of that information is crap. You need to find that 20% of solid gold information and learn from it.Stay away from those fake guru’s. Read everything online. There is literally thousands of sites, videos, blogs, and free courses out there. Years worth of reading. All about dropshipping.Determine for yourself what information is valid for you. And try things out.Get a mentor/coach.When you start to grow, you’ll want to get yourself some sort of mentor or paid coach that can assist you to get to the next level.Running a dropshipping business isn’t easy. It’s a constant up and down. Mentors and coaches are there to remind you of your daily/weekly/monthly goals. They keep you on track and focused. They keep you motivated. And in some cases, they even help you past speed bumps and hurtles because they’ve been in your shoes already. This is a great tool to have in your belt when you are trying to grow a dropshipping business.Spend at least 4 hours per day researching new products/competitorsResearch is key when it comes to staying relevant. Trends move fast. The way you survive in dropshipping is staying ahead of the trends. If you are late to a trend, your sales will all be from the tail end of a trend. If you want to see real profits, real ROI from advertisements, you need to be at the front of a trend. This means you need to predict what the next best product is.This is literally half your work. Trying to find out the next item to sell. It takes even the best dropshippers sometimes 1–2 years to understand this system. But when they do, it’s gold.Ever see those “fake guru’s” online telling their audience what products are selling good? They are only giving away information on “hot items” at the tail end of a trend once they’ve profited from it. No real professional will give someone else a gold mine of a product away for free. If you can catch the beginning of a trend, you can make thousands of units sold fast, and make tens of thousands of dollars in sales from a single product. This is the goal.A bulk of your time in the business is spent researching the next best product. This is the foundation of dropshipping professionally.Focus on your customers.Like any business, you need to focus on your customers. You have to get to know your audience. Spend time with them. Answer every social media comment. Answer all private messages. Answer all emails.Be constantly getting feedback. Ask questions, do surveys, do polls. Engage, engage, engage. But don’t lose focus on your brand image. You cannot please everyone. Figure out who your ‘core’ ideal audience is, and grow it. If you try to please everyone, you’ll please no one and your brand will look like a mess.Don’t add products to your dropshipping store because you personally like, think about what your core audience wants. This is something you learn from research.Focusing on your customers, and providing a better buyers experience for your core audience will set you apart from competitors and allow you to have a better perceived value for your items and grow your dropshipping business faster, with more profits.Customers who really enjoy your brand, your mission, your values, your image will most likely share your brand to their friends/family.With the surge of Entrepreneurs starting their own businesses in the last couple years, many ‘fake gurus’ online have been boasting about starting a business, and how easy it is. Social media is flooded with people showing off the ‘easy’ businesses. Due to all the hype online, there is tons of people starting businesses lately. Here are some things they don’t tell you. Much of this can contribute to reasons why businesses fail.“Working Your Own Hours” is a very common saying, and catch phrase. Truth is, starting a business requires a lot of hard work. Most people who want to be successful are doing 70–80 hours a week minimum. You don’t really get to work your own hours. You eat, sleep, and breathe your business. It’s not until you find success and have a team that can take over workload do you get to cut-back and choose your own hours.“Financial Freedom” is another catch phrase used in the hype the last couple years. It takes a while to earn money in business. Most of it needs to go back into the business for growth, and you can’t really take money out right away. Everyone online is telling people that business owners make millions, this isn’t true. It could be months, and years for most before they are able to take money out. Again, it’s not until you’re successful where you have earned enough to take money out and reap the rewards.“Work Smart, Don’t Work Hard” - this is one of the biggest BS lines I’ve ever heard. Working smart is not enough, working hard is not enough. Whoever thought it was smart to tell Entrepreneurs not to work hard, but work smart instead should be kicked off the internet for causing such damage to the Entrepreneur world. If you want to make it in the business world, you need to do both. You have to be working hard everyday, and work smart. After-all, your competitors are doing both, if you want to compete and stay alive, you need to do both. Doing one is not enough.“Be Your Own Boss” - This is only partially true. This is good for the solo-Entrepreneur starting a small business, and keeping it small. You get to dictate your own business. However, once you grow your business to where you either have investors, or staff, you’re not really your own boss anymore. You are working for your company. Your money is not your own. Any mistake you make costs other people their jobs/lives, and other peoples money. When you take on investors, your investors are your boss. When you have staff, you are working hard to ensure you keep your staff employed. For most companies, you need the staff, you need the investors to grow/save your business. You need them, they don’t need you, so they are your boss.“How Easy It Is” - It’s true, starting a business is easy. Anyone can start a business. Every self-appointed business guru explains to everyone that starting a business is easy. But that’s the easy part, and no one ever tells you the rest. What they don’t tell you is that running, and growing a business is hard. Running a business and trying to make it successful is extremely hard. For 99.99% of people, it’ll be the hardest thing you’ll ever do in your business/career life.“Chances Are You’ll Succeed” - Fact is, most people fail. Most people fail their first time, sometimes their second time, sometimes even their third time. Failing is good, failing is learning. Fact is, 8/10 businesses fail in the first couple years, and only 3% last longer than 5 years. People always forget to mention this when teaching/coaching others, especially online and on social media. They want to sell their product, so they leave this out to encourage everyone to buy their product that teaches them business. Negativity and the truth doesn’t sell their brand/lifestyle product.STEP BY STEP Here is a rough timeline of step-by-step creating a dropshipping business, wrote it down from memory, might be missing some steps, but here is a general idea.Day 1)Domain RegistrationWebhost Setup with CPANELAll Email Accounts Setup (info, admin, noreply, payment, webmaster, newsletter, etc)Shopify Store RegistrationShopify Store General Settings SetupPaypal SetupBank Account SetupPoint Website to Shopify DNS (CNAME)Day 2)Social Media Account Setup - (Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook)Shopify Template SetupShopify - adding all the good addons that most dropshippers useSetup email marketing (klavio or chimp)Logo DesignBanner & Social Media Graphic Designing for site and social accountsWriting up descriptions, about us, contact us and other CMS pages for website, as well as social media accountsDay 3)Setup auto-reply's for emails, and social media messenger systemsSetup templates for email repliesSetup templates for email marketing and prepare first campaign.Setup templates for Facebook postsSetup Blog on website, and prepare templates for easier postingsUpload logo and all banners to websiteUpload logo and all banners to social accounts and finish off social media account profiles fully.Setup website shop categoriesAdd 1 test productDay 4)Prepare gmail account to test all contact forms, and email marketing lists (newsletter)Use gmail account to test emailing (and replying back) for all email accounts, making sure auto-responses work, and that signatures are working.Use gmail account to make test purchases on siteTest credit card payment, and test Paypal paymentsWrite up return policy, shipping information, terms of use, etcVerify that all website links and all social media account links are working and everything is linked together.Create Facebook ads manager account, and create pixel for your Shopify store. Connect your site to the Pixel.Day 5)Start adding products, either by using a Shopify addon like Oberlo, or manually inputting ones you can dropship.Make clear SEO-type titles, great descriptions, and edit photos as needed.Everytime you add 10–15 products (same category), stop then post on Instagram and Pinterest the products you just added. At the same time, create a tweet about the newly added products (hashtags), and also create a Facebook post about it.Also create a Blog Post about the products.Once you’ve got about 30–45 products added, start your first Facebook Ad campaign (targeting Engagements)Day 6)Continue adding products.Continue posting on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest Daily.Post on Facebook 2–3 times daily (using templates, keep to the same style as often as possible).Monitor your Facebook ads every few hours.Create new Facebook campaigns for different products, testing out $5/day ads.Kill off campaigns not doing good, scale ones that are work.Repeat, Repeat, RepeatMake more email marketing campaignsAnswer customer emails (using templates for most info)Reply to ALL social media inquiries, engage with customersFullfill orders as they come in.Repeat Repeat Repeat!!! More products, more social postings, more ads.Keep starting up 5–6 ads ($5 budget each) per day, kill off bad ones, scale or duplicate good ones. Learn the system. Trial and error.Within 1–2 weeks of constantly repeating all steps in Day 6, you’ll start to see growth. If you are really good at Facebook marketing, you may even hit hundreds of sales in a matter of a week. Keep scaling. On Day 6, I would also recommend trying out Instagram Influencer Marketing, then combining that with Facebook Re-Targeting Ads instead of only using Facebook ads. Sometimes the results are better. It varies from store to store. One thing to note is that most ‘guru’s’ online that teach dropshipping, are not good at it themselves. They’ve had some luck, they have typically smaller stores (under 5 million sales/year), and they turn to teaching because teaching makes them more money than actually running a dropshipping business. So you can ignore all that ‘work your own hours’ ‘financial freedom’ ‘work 5 hours a week only’ ‘be your on dropshipping boss’ that they spew out. This doesn’t apply to any real person getting into dropshipping. The people that are in dropshipping industry that barely work on their stores are already successful, but they didn’t start successful. They grinded, they worked that 70, 80 hour weeks, week after week. And more importantly, they have VA’s (Virtual Assistants) that run 95% of the business for them, which frees up their time. Ultimately this is the goal of any dropshipper, but you have to get there first. How much time can vary, in a dropshipping business you are typically doing this DAILY MINIMUM:Adding a new blog post to your site.Posting to Twitter twice a day.Posting to Instagram twice a day.Posting to Facebook 1–2 times per day.Posting to Pinterest each day.Spending 5–6 hours a day finding new products, and researching market trends.Adding at least 5 viable products per day to your store.Running Facebook Ads everyday, and checking on them every few hours.Creating videos, graphics, banners, and texts to go with all new ad creatives. And for adding products as well.Split test, split test, split test, split test.Replying to emails, replying to social media comments, liking comments and inviting people to your page. This is stuff you do every single day, and never skip a day. This doesn’t include even processing orders, and handling chargebacks/complaints. And there is much more too.You can see now that VA’s (Virtual Assistants) are crucial to the success of the business as you need them to take on the majority of the tasks. But what about dropshippers who don’t have the money to hire multiple VA’s.That means the the owner gets to do all the work. And suddenly working 90 hours a week doesn’t seem that much compared to the work load.Don’t even kid yourself if you think you can get away with 40 hours a week. That’s not enough. It’s way too competitive. You have to go above and beyond what others are doing to even start getting traction in the industry. Most dropshipping store owners that figured out how to grow and scale their business while being profitable are outsourcing most of the ‘smarter’ work such as Facebook Ads, Instagram Influencer Marketing, Google Adwords, and Youtube Influencer Marketing. They are also outsourcing video and graphic work to make everything more professional and better-converting. The owner themselves then just sticks to grunt work that doesn’t require a full time dedication to a single task.A couple of my former students (who failed the first time around) spend millions a year on Facebook ads now and have full teams working for them on their new successful store(s). If they can do it, many many others can too. If I can do, so can you as well. Here are some rules you should live by when you are getting into dropshipping.Always Be Motivated. Motivation is extremely important. With proper motivation you can look forward to getting up each and everyday and get to it. Being motivated will have you at your best to ensure you can get done what you need to get done. Lack of motivation will put a damper on your day.Learn Something New Each And Every Day. Generally it’s best to always try to learn something each day. Investing in yourself is really important. From reading books, following influencers and relevant media, studying, and much more, there are many chances each day to invest in yourself by learning something new.Never Make The Same Mistakes Twice. Learn from your first mistake and never do it again. There is no reason to ever make the same mistakes twice.Don’t Be Afraid Of Failing. One of the best ways to learn in life is through failing. If you are afraid of failing, you’ll not be prepared to get the most out of it. The lessons you learn from failing is highly beneficial to your growth and future. Don’t go looking to fail, but embrace it when it shows up on your doorstep.Cut Out The Small Stuff/Noise. A lot of people like to say ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’, and this is great advice. Your life is really short, you don’t have time to be wasting it on small noise. Cut it out of your life and don’t give it a second look. You’ll accomplish more.Show People From Action, Not Talk. Don’t spend your days (or life) wasting away talking and talking and talking. Instead take action on your ideas. Show someone what you want to do by taking action on it instead of just talking.Know What You Want. If you want to be successful, you need to know yourself, you need to know what you want. Then take it.Don’t Just Work Hard Or Work Smart, Do Both. Working hard in life doesn’t cut it. Working smart in life also doesn’t cut it. You’ve got to both work hard and work smart if you want to get ahead and be the best you can.Don’t Just Dream, Do. Dreaming is nice, but you’ll never achieve your dreams if you don’t take action on it. There is never a more better time to start than now. Just do it.Ten to One rule. Always remember that whatever your beliefs are, whatever your morals are, whatever your religion/politics are; there is always going to be ten other people that disagree with you. Respect others who think differently. You can’t please everyone. Following the above 10–1 rule, you can’t please everyone so don’t even try. Be yourself and make the brand/business that you want, not what others want. If you try to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one.Remember Life Isn’t Fair. Life is far from fair. Every single person in the world is dealt different cards. Everyone has different luck. People are born in different countries, are brought up in different families, learn different things. Much of which cannot be controlled until adulthood. Countless people die at any age, even as kids who never get a chance to grow up. Don’t take life for granted. Accept whatever cards you yourself are dealt and work at improving your future.Never Give Up. Life is a uphill battle 24/8. You’re going to trip over rocks, you’re going to have boulders crash down on your head, you’re going to run into walls. Every single day you’re going to fall down, pick yourself back up and never give up.Always Look Out For Number One. The only one that has your best interests at heart is yourself. No matter what anyone else says or does, you are your best chance in the world.Never Regret. Live your life and never regret any choices you make. There are no do-overs.Damien DefrancoOriginal Question: How much money do I need to start an E-business, E-store, Amazon fulfillment, seller, or drop-shipping business?
