Today we will be discussing how students can access their free. Microsoft Office 365 accounts. First we will focus on the most direct way to access your 365 account. Start by searching for CSCU Office 365. The first link will take you to the CSCU login page for Office 365. When you get to this page, I would suggest saving it as a favorite in your browser so you can easily access it in the future. Once you get here, click on the login button. You will be redirected to supply your username and password, which will be the same username and password that you used to log into blackboard. Once you log in, you will be redirected to the Office 365 home page, which is shown here on the left hand side of the page. There are icons for all of the Microsoft product. Before we move away from this page, I do want to call attention to the button on the top right hand side of the page that says install office. When you click install office, you will be able to install all office products directly on to your computer. The benefit of installing office is you won't have to log in to access these products every time you want to use them. Just a side note, students using Chromebooks will be unable to download all of the Microsoft 365 apps using that button. However, you will still have access to all of the online versions of Office 365. After clicking on the Microsoft Word icon on the left-hand menu, a page will open up the option to open a blank document where you can begin your work. A second and likely more common way to access office products is to log into mycommnet.edu where after supplying your username and password will be redirected to the my commnet homepage. Scrolling down and clicking to access your college email after being redirected to your email inbox, you can click on the waffle located at the top left hand side of this page. Clicking on the waffle will open up all of the Office 365 products available to you, including Microsoft Word. After clicking on the word option from that list, you are entered into Microsoft Word on line. And can start a new document as demonstrated here.
