How do i industry sign banking arkansas form fast

thank you for joining me i'm your host glenn w worthington i want to talk about the shape of diamonds so that you'll learn how to recognize them you can't find something if you don't know what you're looking for everybody's seen a cut diamond like the image of a cut diamond on our arkansas state quarter but few people know what an uncut diamond looked like and even if they know what an uncut diamond look like they don't know what they look like from arkansas and they are different from diamonds found elsewhere in the world one thing you need to know not all diamonds are white at the crater diamond state park you do have white which is 61 percent brown 21 percent and yellow 17 these are all diamonds found at the crater of diamond state park these are not found at the crater of diamond state park these are probably african diamonds maybe congo diamonds and if the diamonds from arkansas looked like that naturally i would never have gotten interested in finding diamonds in arkansas these to me are just plain ugly i mean why would you want to pursue and work hard and find something like that i'd rather find something naturally pretty these are cubes and most likely from the congo um cube diamonds tend to be from there to me they're just plain ugly these are diamonds found from all around the world these are large these over here are really good quality they're pure and everything but the natural shape just doesn't do much for me especially not these these are not pure neither is this one but the shapes of these just don't make me drool but here's another diamond found and i think it's like 556 carat yellow diamond and i mean it's huge and who wouldn't want to find one that big but my goodness that thing needs to be cut it's just plain ugly i mean there's nothing you just don't drool over that okay those are diamonds found elsewhere in the world and diamonds are formed deep within the earth over a hundred miles deep in the diamond stability zone and they form as either an octahedron or as a cube so this is uh an octahedron is two four-sided pyramids joined bottom to bottom now as they come up from 100 miles deep if they don't cool quick enough they will completely turn to co2 gas but on the way up as they're cooling the diamonds from arkansas tend to cool and crystallize like this tetrahexahedron see the lovely natural curves and natural faces in it this is what our resorbed diamonds look like in arkansas and it's because they didn't cool quick enough to be a perfect octahedron they resorbed some it's kind of like an ice cube melting you know in the summer you get it out of the freezer and um some of the rough edges come off of it and then if you take that ice cube and put it back in the freezer well then it stays in that crystalline form like that and that kind of is a layman's term of a way of explaining how it works here's an example of kind of the fingerprint you want to look for for a diamond these natural faces in it this line drawing is just a good way to explain what you need to be looking for to help you distinguish alluviated or water worn tumbled quartz crystal from diamond diamond will have these natural faces in it like this that's what i'm talking about the natural faces like that line drawing showed this is a resorb diamond found at the crater in 2011. here is a two point yellow diamond i found and it's tiny but it's just a darling little bug i love the shape i took several pictures of it because i'm just proud of this little beauty it's not big but it's pure and look at the shape i just love see this is what i'm talking about just like that line drawing all those natural contours and natural faces we don't call them facets facets are what a human jeweler does to a diamond he cuts facets on it but these are natural faces so drop the t outta facet and you've got faces and here's another view of my two point yellow it's just pretty no matter which way you turn it it's just a gorgeous little doll and although it's pretty this one is a hundred and two times bigger this is a 204 carat diamond i found instead of a two k uh two point there's a hundred points of weight per carat so that other two point diamond was one fiftieth of one carat and this is 2.04 carats and this one also whether you're talking about a small diamond or a large diamond they exhibit the natural faces and these contour lines and to me that's gorgeous see the natural faces here just like on that line drawing that is your fingerprint that tells you it's a diamond and if anybody tells you it's not you can say no i know better that's that's the sign of a diamond so here again is the line drawing and here again is a good example of it see that and this 2.73 carat white diamond the dempsey ducharme diamond was found about a week ago at the crater of diamonds and it has the lovely natural faces on it as well isn't that a beauty yeah and a biggie 2.73 carat so he did both he got large and beautiful together very clear clean it doesn't have a lot of crud inside of it you know like spots of graphite or something this is a beautiful well-shaped yellow i'm just going to go through and give you examples the way to tell the difference between a diamond and a counterfeit is to look at pictures of real diamonds now dustin galvin found this diamond and i i don't remember the size maybe 11 point yellow or something but it was found in 2020 i believe but i just stole his picture to use it as an example and david anderson found all of these diamonds one two three four five six diamonds in the same hole the largest one is a 40 point yellow and in it lovely you can see the natural contour lines and the faces on it so david anderson did very well if i had dug a hole and only got this 140 point yellow that would be good enough but he got all these other diamonds as a bonus as well so um good find kevin taylor found this and i believe it's a 145 yellow i'm just going from memory on a lot of these but it's absolutely gorgeous lovely shape and real clean pretty diamond this one is about a five carat diamond and it's at a museum in pigot arkansas which is in the northeast corner of the state and the crater at diamond state park is in the southwest corner so there are hundreds of miles apart but anyway this is in a museum representing the crater of diamonds and this was mined prior to 1932 so this is a mined diamond before this was a state park but lovely and i think it's around 5 carats i don't know the weight this is also from that same museum and it's a white and it shows the contour lines but the shape is much different a very unique shape but i really like it very clean pretty diamond this is also from that museum as well um and it kind of has a zipper in it but this diamond was the white on the front of my dvd how to find genuine diamonds in arkansas and on the front of my book as well but anyhow it was also mined prior to 1932. this is just a lovely diamond i can't tell you anything about it except it's got a beautiful shape and it's from the crater i don't remember anything else about it these are beautiful crater diamonds i can tell you this is an 8.61 carat brown lamely diamond that was found in the summer of 1978 i was there the day they found it in my brother's hole that he abandoned because he gave up and went home too early this is a 4.21 carat marvin culver's okie dokie diamond and a boy looking for rabbits found carrots instead on this diamond and i'm not sure which one this is for certain but i think that's harold lay's fried chicken diamond but you can name them anything you want now these diamonds are gorgeous lovely shaped and they're very large i cannot quote the sizes on them but they're at a museum and this yellow although it's well shaped and has a real rich color it has some graphite spots in it which is unfortunate and this white one has just a little notch in it with some graphite uh on the outside but uh look lovely faces well shaped you can tell they're they're from arkansas and they are and they know it at the museum but uh it's got that family appearance it looks like a crater diamond another gorgeous one so clean so pure well-shaped nice contour lines and natural faces again just another beautiful diamond from arkansas's crater diamond state park this one weighs a little over a carrot and just so clean and lustrous you can just see right through it this is a unique shape i've found several football shaped diamonds this isn't one of mine but um and i call them football shape and i really can't explain why they're like this but my my two largest were football shape the 204 yellow and the 213 brown were were shaped like this but it's still got the contour lines and the natural faces in it and then this one's round as compared to here you jump back here and look there's that long elongated football and then here's a round one but they still have that family appearance they're all crater diamonds usa diamonds from arkansas that's a lovely almost half carat yellow look at that 69 point wow it's got the faces in it and so clean so pure uh some of these you know like five years old and more but uh and there's another football shape diamond this is a 10 point so a tenth of a carrot but just gorgeous i love it almost a full carrot 96 point yellow very pure lovely diamond i figured you hadn't seen these pictures so anyway going back again showing you the line drawing just teaching you that's how we recognize the diamond and then see it's like almost a perfect line drawing match to to that actual crystal that was recovered from the crater here's a beautiful 121 but it's a light yellow but absolutely lovely 46 point white 113 yellow gorgeous diamonds see how clean and pure you would think if it's a state park and they let you keep the diamonds you find it would just be industrial diamonds just junk you know like those congo diamonds i was showing you but no you can find a diamond like this and keep it it's all your yours now here's another view of the same diamond it's just a different intensity of color this is a little washed out but this you can see the shape a little better and a different picture of the same diamond now that's a cutie very unique shape i want to tell you about this couple so i met him at the crater and they said well we're from colorado and we came here gonna work together try to find a diamond for her engagement ring and i thought wow folks you know good luck to you so many people have tried and either they found no diamond at all or they would find a real small diamond that was not suitable for an engagement ring or if they found a large diamond it was a large ugly diamond and they just had to make do with it but this couple found a large beautiful diamond and here it is in his hand is that not nice they had it set uncut just like that here are some more pictures of that diamond it's absolutely beautiful see the natural faces and contours it is so pretty they let me take some photos of it and i mean it's an eye popper this stuff makes my mouth water it's absolutely delicious the way it's naturally resorbed and doesn't need to be cut you just set it in an engagement ring just like that and that's what they did now i've been showing you a lot of white and yellow diamonds yeah there are brown diamonds that are pretty a lot of them tend to have flaws and are ugly but hey that's a beautiful brown diamond right there and that 861 carat landlate was a lovely brown here's a nice real deep coffee brown they can be tea brown chocolate brown coffee brown champagne brown this is an odd shaped diamond but it does have contour lines around it you just got to look for but this is a very flattened diamond kind of a what trapezoidal or parallelogram i guess uh anyway interesting shape but uh this is the 861 brown lambly diamond i took that photo it's in the ran collection 55 point brown see it's a clear clean diamond with nice contour lines and uh crystal faces lovely white of a little over a third of a carrot just pure and clean you can see right through it like water this beautiful yellow diamond set uncut in a ring i mean you don't need to cut that it's naturally lovely and both of these diamonds are pretty both around a quarter of a carat a white and a yellow found three years ago two and a half these are beautiful diamonds no one can argue with that these were from the haran collection this is an 8.82 carat star of shreveport that carol blankenship found in the pigpen area this is a 5.47 carat sunshine diamond that bob wheely found in the west drain and this is the 1.45 carat black beauty diamond that james archer found i believe in the east drain these are examples of the three you know colors and then ha look at the shape of this this is marvin culver's 4.21 carat okey dokey diamond yellow and gorgeous shape and that has not been cut or polished that's just natural all these diamonds i'm showing you are are natural this is my favorite diamond from the crater diamond so far before it was a crater diamond state park it was mined commercially and in may of 1917 this diamond was found by a workman there lee wagner and it weighs 17.86 carats almost a 18 carat yellow diamond and it's in the smithsonian institute in washington dc and it remains uncut today that's the way it looked when he found it this is a 3.86 carat yellow beauty that tonya cliver a little i think 13 14 year old girl from oklahoma came was visiting was just running across the field going to talk to her relatives at the other end i think talk about leaving and she just jumped over and she saw it out the corner of her eye stop went back picked it up 3.85 carat yellow diamond she sold it and has the money in a college fund it's a beauty here's a assortment of diamonds from the crater and this is an older picture i think from one of their postcards but just an assortment of sizes and qualities and this is a yellow mackerel the three biggest diamonds here are a white a brown and a yellow and this yellow is a mackel which is a natural three-sided flat diamond and this has been on display in their museum for decades and now i haven't seen it for a while this is the display from the museum and here's that yellow mackerel and the white and the brown diamond i said and then the lesser quality common diamonds around there this used to be on display in the crater of diamonds museum and i don't know where they are now i haven't seen them for years but it was on display for years and i would like to see at least these three on display again so i need to ask some questions see where they're at these diamonds are from the haran collection ronnie francis took this picture when the harans came to the crater of diamonds to show their diamonds this is the 8.61 carat yellow 5.47 sunshine diamond that bob wheely found 4.21 carat um okey dokey diamond and i think this is joe fazora's um bleeding heart diamond 6.21 karat something anyway i can't remember the sizes and names of all of them but uh here's uh the back of my book just to show you you can set diamonds uncut in jewelry this is a necklace pendant this is the 882 star shreveport found in 1981 and this is uh okay i said five carrots earlier i was wrong it's about four and a half carrot found in 1931. this is my 204 yellow uh this is a picture we saw a little bit ago this again is my 204 yellow right next to a 101 mackle on the back of my book and i want to talk about mackel's and that shape of a diamond because i wouldn't want you to miss one if you found it so how are mackel's made how do you end up with a triangular diamond most diamonds start out as an octahedron and then resorb down to a tetrahexahedron or something like that you know with the faces and all but some of them a flat will shear off of the octahedron like this see you've got the octahedron and forces hit that yes diamonds will break along a cleavage plane along a weak plane and they could shear like that and then you would get a flat triangular diamond and then it resorbs somewhat from that and then you get the mackles that we see also you could have a twinned crystal develop in that the mackel uh the diamonds don't just grow in octahedron shape or in a cube shape but they can sometimes grow in a twinned crystal shape which is a macle but i think i'm suspicious that a lot of our mackerels are really a sheer a f at sheared off and resorbed like that that's what i believe that i may be wrong so here's an example of that picture from the back of my book again a 101 carat yellow and the story on this is a little old lady from dallas texas she was a grandmother her grandson was with her and he was an adult i don't know 20 something so i don't know how old the lady was but she was walking along not too far from the uncle sam sign and saw this beauty on top of the ground right next to somebody's footprint so somebody had stepped right over this without seeing it and walked on by so i'm telling you this is a diamond if you see one so uh diamonds can be flat and triangular they can be other colors besides white they can be yellow and brown and i compare these two this is 204 a little over two carrots this is just barely over one carrot 101 but size wise they're very compatible even though this is twice as heavy is because this is fat and plump and this is naturally flat and thin so it spreads its weight over a much wider area a bigger footprint uh that's one thing i like about mackel's and just the symmetrical shape it just is gorgeous i love it and not that many mackerels are found there this is that 101 yellow mackerel again this is about the closest thing i've found to a mackel it's a 62 point white heart and it's not pure this is a 17 point yellow mackerel that james archer found and is in my wife and i's personal collection and this is a close to a mackel that claude dill found now he's found about 2 000 diamonds at the crater and only two of them were mackles and this was the closest to a mackel that he had found so they're pretty rare uh these are the same diamonds again uh james archer's yellow mackel claude dills almost a mackerel my almost a mackle really kind of a heart shape and then this is a perfect 101 yellow mackerel so this has everything color size shape quality and it's a beauty i love it there it is again 101 yellow mackerel and the day after the woman found it she took it to a jeweler in dallas because her and her grandson went back home and the jeweler said well it's already been cut she said no i found it yesterday the crater of diamonds nobody's cut it or polished it or done anything to it and the jeweler couldn't believe it he said something that beautiful is natural so even jewelers don't know everything about diamonds and diamond shapes but anyway she called me up because i was the guy that wrote the book on diamonds in arkansas and she said what do you think this is worth and i said um why are you interested in selling it she said yeah i just like to sell it i said well uh i made her a good offer and i said if you'd like you could meet me at my bank tomorrow that way you would be safe like i'm not gonna meet you in some back alley hit you over the head and steal your diamond from you um and that way too i don't feel like somebody's gonna steal my money either so anyway we met at a bank high security there and i wrote her out a check she turned around cashed that check she walked out with the cash and i walked out with her diamond and that way too i had a paper trail proving that i had paid for that mackel and not stolen from her because she cashed a check signed it this is my 62 point white heart-shaped diamond close to a mackel but not quite and it's not perfect it has spots of carbon or actually you can say graphite there and there's a little imperfection along the edge and it's not exactly a perfect heart but it's close enough i call it the worthington heart diamond now this is a little mackle i helped the guy find from colorado who came dwayne hall you might remember him from the prospector show uh this is not a perfect diamond but it is a mackel and uh we were working together when he found it here's a big picture of it from the day that he registered it it's an 11 point brown it's got some problems but hey it's flat triangular looking it spread that 11 points of weight out over an area it's got a little little problems with it but it's not a bad diamond here's another picture of it and uh here's dwayne hall you might remember him from the prospector show he would climb up mount white and look for aquamarine and this is our friend george enterman also from colorado and uh i told these guys look you just come i've got the equipment i'll show you where to dig and how to do it we'll work together this week and hopefully you can find something to take home to your wives for christmas this was mid-december and um i showed him where to dig in the east drain and all that and then duane after a while he said look we haven't found anything over here in the east drain i want to branch out i want to dig over here on baby's hill and i said all right if you want to i mean it's your vacation but you're not going to find anything over there and then he found that uh 11-point brown mackerel i said well okay you know more than the old expert so anyway that's exactly where he dug it up he was hauling it right there in those buckets and then i was at the northwest pavilion i washed it they they dug and hauled and i washed it and then when i flipped the sarooka look how full of berrite that is uh there that diamond was in and he took it right over and registered it i mean right then it it hadn't even uh the pile wasn't even dry he picked it out and took off so i was glad for him and he took and had it set in this ring for his wife as a christmas gift so nice natural and uh before they left i told him all right now you found that one that was a fluke go back to the east drain and dig and they george got to claim this 47 point white beautiful diamond from the east drains so even though dwayne didn't know what he was talking about and did find a diamond up here on baby's hill they did better digging where i told them to dig because this 47 point white is just lovely so uh now let's talk about mackel's for a little bit this is a gorgeous naturally triangular flat diamond and they call that shape a mackle and that has not been cut or polished that was naturally found like that here's another picture of that same diamond and i think it's absolutely breathtaking i would love to find that 67 point now here's one maybe it's a little plump it's kind of triangular i would call it a mackle some wouldn't but because it's not real flat but um still it's a pretty 17 point yellow and it kind of has that shape this i would call a macle uh it may not be perfectly symmetrical like this side and this side are a little longer than this side but hey that's close enough to me i'm calling that a mackel these two macles were both found by kevin jones of shawnee oklahoma several years ago this one i wish it was laid in here different but it is actually a mackle as well and then this one he took this picture and gave it to me and i put it in my book but i really love the diamonds he found these are east drain diamonds and to find two mackles you know like i said uh claude dill had a hard time finding two mackel's working many many years full time now this is a beautiful brown mackerel i i just drool over this this is eye candy wow not a thing wrong with that do you see the diamond in this photo out of all this gravel where is the diamond oh yeah right here this is scott craig's 34 point white mackerel absolutely lovely here's another photo of it a little small i can make it bigger but a perfect mackel 34 points a little over a third of a carrot he had it set uncut like he should uncut in this ring it's absolutely beautiful with some amethyst here and it lets the light come through and yet it's held securely beautiful beautiful ring way to go scott congratulations nice mackle now this is a diamond i found it's not quite a mackerel i call it a shield shape but i had to show you it's 11 point yellow i've got it in my collection i had sold it for thirty dollars a point and uh bought it back years later for the same price and um it see it's not perfectly symmetrical this side and this side is longer than this side so it's not a perfect mackerel but i call it a shield and i love it i'm i'm not selling that again i bought it back for what i sold it for and i'm gonna hang on to it so anyway this kind of brings me at the end of the discussion about diamonds in arkansas the shapes and the colors but um these are all from the haran collection and this is a 8.61 carat lambly 4.21 carat okie dokie diamond this is a six and a half carat that richard cooper found and i cannot name all of these diamonds uh i know this is uh what it's the bleeding heart diamond joe fazora found and i think it's a 6.21 carat yellow something like that it has a imperfection that allows a ribbon of red inside that gives a character so the bleeding heart diamond but anyway compared to our arkansas quarter with the image of a cut diamond on it you can kind of see what some of the bigger better nicer diamonds from the crater are but i just want to explain our diamonds are naturally resorbed and beautiful the way they are and don't need to be cut and could be set in jewelry just like that so here's your wanted poster this right here these diamonds that's what you're looking for that's the size the color the quality that you're that you want so uh go out and get them
