is my presentation for industry roles my name is daniel lawson and first thing i will be talking about is my perceived market and by the supermarket i personally think i would be a white collar actor in theater what is the industry role of working in theater well the clue is kind of in the name and it's mostly stage work and working in the theater in shows or that sort of thing what skills i have i have some dancing skills a theater background um projections skills and have a lot of work behind me on how to work with a stage such as proximix movement and so on um the rate pay and fees of working in theater that can vary between the whole company and the show because you can get paid a lot of money for being a main character or you can be paid less money if you're an extra for so on um the commitment expectations conduct and hours of work for this work you're expected to be committed to what you're doing and the kind of others be on time give good amount of dedication to the work you are putting forward and uh some skills and experience to gain to get more jobs uh definitely singing skills would be one to have dance acting skills and so on and to experience would be more theater work so being parts and shows back from small little parts to big parts just more experience as a whole uh qualifications for working in theater would be uh queen margaret university the course theater and film bachelor's honors or the university of glasgow theatre studies the m.a honors and self-promotion can go through agents theater auditions online promotions and such as facebook or instagram and so on the next one is community arts um what is the industry role of community arts well it is a cultural democracy emerged after second world war and described describes practice in which culture culture and artistic expression are generated by individuals or communities rather than by institutions of central power so it's more like a community theater group or um little shows pushed on by a group of people who are possibly neighbors or a school production or something like that uh skills i have group skills uh i'm good with creative writing i'm naturally quite creative as a whole and have acting and experience such as that uh weight of pay and fees there because this is a community arts normally they aren't always paid but as the same with working in theater it depends on the whole community and the that you are doing um and again with commit um commitment to commitment conduct and hours of work it's the same as any other job it's hard commitment trying to do your best job and focus and there's skills and experience again to get more jobs for this you need a variety of skills stage and screen because it can be both stage and screen work for community arts and that sort of experience qualifications uh for this you don't always need qualifications but what would help would be the queen market university theater and film bachelor's honors media acting in english bachelor's honors as well because those both work with acting and the napier and the nation acting in english after creative fighting and that sort of world to work with and subversion movie this also depends on the whole show or film depending how much you're getting paid or if you are actually they sometimes have unpaid extras so sometimes they have volunteers which are sometimes actors looking for just more experience in cv work uh commitment expectations conduct 10 hours of work it's the same uh dedicated hardworking on time and proper friendly conduct between actors and cast and production members um skills and experience to gain to get more jobs uh more screen work would be expected to get more jobs so it's just showing a backing of what you can do and what you've done and
