Frequently asked questions
How do i add an electronic signature to a word document?
When a client enters information (such as a password) into the online form on , the information is encrypted so the client cannot see it. An authorized representative for the client, called a "Doe Representative," must enter the information into the "Signature" field to complete the signature.
How to sign pdf document that doesnt allow signatures?
You're not alone, this happens quite a bit. It's actually a really nice, elegant solution to the problem if you're used to the way this kind of thing is done in the browser. But for you it's probably just easier to download this tool (see the "download" dropdown next to it, then select "unzip and run") and start it up.
If this tool works like advertised, there's a good chance that it would also be worth taking a second look at a few other things you use on a regular basis, to make sure you don't unintentionally screw yourself over.
I'll be honest: I didn't really look hard enough to find any other similar tools for Firefox to look at. But I have a hunch that the most common reason for getting in trouble is not having a valid .pdf signature. So this post is intended to be a starting place for some of the tools that you might consider looking into yourself.
Signing pdf documents that don't allow signatures
As I mentioned in the introduction, this is a pretty useful method for signing an existing file, or creating a pdf that already allows signatures.
There are a couple of different ways to do this:
Just sign the pdf directly in the browser:
Install the pdf signing tool and then just sign your doc in the pdf tool from within Firefox: --install
Download this tool (it's in the downloads below, but if you just want to try it in Firefox it's also in the downloads), and then create a pdf file with a signature that you sign (see the "sign-pdf" dropdown next to the download...
How to attach multiple documents into one document to sign?
This is actually a very basic process, and I've had it go well in all sorts of situations. The only thing is, it's difficult to remember what's happening when a person wants to sign on both sides of an envelope (which is how many times we've needed to sign on both sides of this particular letter). If you use a pen (rather than your phone!) to sign this letter, you might actually miss an "O" or something. If you don't, you just need to keep the "on" sign in your mind so you don't miss it. (You can just sign the envelope back in the "on" sign, or you can sign it on both sides and then put it in your mailbox. It's really up to you.)
Now when you go to mail or package something, you don't want to get all excited and forget to sign the envelope and envelope itself. You have to make a mental note of what the envelope is supposed to look like and what you need to sign.
This is why you want to print out this article on cardstock so you don't forget what's going on. Once you have the right information memorized, you can easily sign off the card, so you don't have to check with anyone to see what you signed off on! You can also write a few extra sentences on the back of the card, in front of everyone, so they can easily find out what you signed it on.
If the envelope has a return address, use it. Otherwise, use the front (address side) of the envelope.
Also, if there are a lot of people (or multiple people) who are going to come see you, use one of the back (returns side) env...
