Frequently asked questions

Learn everything you need to know to use airSlate SignNow eSignatures like a pro.

How do i add an electronic signature to a word document?

When a client enters information (such as a password) into the online form on , the information is encrypted so the client cannot see it. An authorized representative for the client, called a "Doe Representative," must enter the information into the "Signature" field to complete the signature.

How do you sign your name on a pdf file?

In order to get a PDF file, we can print your signature on the back of a blank piece of paper (such as a credit card or letter). The signature can be on any blank piece of paper, and the signature has to be on the bottom left corner of the page. It is recommended that you print the signatures off as many times as you need to get your signature on a large document. A few things to remember when signing on any type of document: If you are a parent or legally responsible, you are not allowed to sign the documents with your name. Make sure your signature is in the bottom left corner and the page is facing you. Your signature cannot be the same color as the page. Make sure to print off the forms from many of the documents you will sign. The process will only take a minute and will require you to print out your signatures and place on the back of any blank piece of paper, just like a credit card or letter.

How to sign a signature on a pdf?

I'm wondering why I would have my signature on a pdf. I am trying to sign a pdf file and it asks me if I want to sign it. I'm not using an email address to sign a pdf How do you sign the pdf when the name of the user is not there? I'm not sure. I don't know how you sign a signature, but it's a very common practice. The signature you create in a pdf is always unique, so you can never sign a pdf with a signature different from yours (unless you've changed the signature on the pdf before it was saved). However, if you sign a pdf with the same signature as someone else (for example, by having the same email address in the pdf and signing it with that same email address, but in your signature it is someone else's signature), then that person can't change their signature on someone else's pdf that someone else has signed, because then they can sign anything they want and no one will be able to tell them apart, unless they've done something very wrong ( changed their signature), in which case no one will be able to tell if they're the same person signing a different pdf. I don't get it. So it doesn't matter if the signature is changed in the pdf, because the signature is not a unique one and there's no way to detect it anyway? I guess that's correct. However, if you have signed a PDF yourself and then someone changes their email address, you can be identified by the email address you've signed it with. The signature is still unique, but now the signature has been alter...
