what's going on guys welcome back to another top ten Tuesday let's get right into it today we are talking about the best greenhouse designs I hope on this list will cover something that will meet your needs if you're looking to build a greenhouse something big or small simple versus complex cheap versus expensive I hope we find something that will meet your needs on this list so let's get started [Music] number 10 is the swimming pool greenhouse Justin Rhoads exposed this greenhouse and he was on the great American Farm tour I believe these guys were up in Oregon the pros of this greenhouse are that it's pretty simple you put a roof on it and you're ready to start growing some food the cons would be you've got to have a swimming pool I think it's a really cool idea really good idea to repurpose something that's not being used but a really cool idea number nine is from so the land just filled a greenhouse if you guys are fall along with his channel he just put up this small hoop house out in his garden I think it's a great idea for a small homestead and I'll be honest if I were gonna build the greenhouse I think this is the one that I would build in my garden pros would be it's relatively cheap looks pretty easy to build wouldn't take too long cons the only reason this one isn't higher up on the list if you guys saw ssl family dad his greenhouse couldn't handle the weight of the snow initially and that's the only thing I'm concerned of here with this one as you know possibly snow which will probably past that now but wind to see how it holds up over time number eight is the carport from farm alarm these are our friends over in mid-missouri and they took three hundred dollar carport structure and made a greenhouse out of it I think it was a really cool idea I don't see this happen very often how pros would be that it's relatively simple it's would be relatively easy to put together it's cheap cons he did just talk about some snow the other day so it's put quite a bit of pressure on the roof of this sliding the materials for you know you can get a carport out there but at this price I don't know if it's possible to find something that affordable but a really smart idea if you're looking to get a structure for your green [Music] number seven is the passive solar greenhouse from the urban farmer Curtis Stone was tore net where to put this one on the list it is relatively high-tech really heavy-duty this one's not going anywhere but what is the cost this one would be pretty expensive and it's gonna take quite a while to build it put it together but if you're a market farmer this one's a great idea I didn't see him lay out the exact plans for this but he does show the video ID link shows a time-lapse of it being built in and some of his videos he talks about the place that designed it for him you might be able to go through them to get the exact same design at number six is the high tunnel from arm's family homestead now this was very similar to the Swedish homestead greenhouse the SSL family dad greenhouse they're all a pretty similar the thing I liked about this is that had retractable arms on it so you could take it in and out depending on the time of the year I thought that was a really cool feature of this and in one of his videos he even explains how he goes through his local government agency to fund the cost of it it took him a while to get it I think close to a year but this is a great option and a really big greenhouse for a homestead at number five is the backyard hoop house from one yard revolution this one's going to be pretty similar to the greenhouse design that we have coming up next but this one the little heavier-duty a little more technical but he does explain all the techniques throughout his video of how to build it I think it's really well supported and great for a backyard check this one out at number fours the cattle panel greenhouse from Texas prepper - don't confuse him with Texas prepper 1 if you follow the grass-fed homestead last year he built this as a combination greenhouse / chicken coop which he's still continues to use as the chicken coop kind of like our chicken character that we could convert into a greenhouse we just have never been able to do that but this one is really simple I think he said it takes so about an hour to build so if you're looking for the simplest greenhouse to build on this list the is the one at number three is from modern builds the plastic or tough text greenhouse this one's a really great structure that you may have seen similar tight builds from off graded with Doug and Stacy and little mountain ranch looks like they've all built just about the same type of design but I went with this video because if you're looking for how to this one is a really great condensed how to build this greenhouse okay I think this one is the coolest not pun intended greenhouse on the list [Music] [Music] at number two is from the vegan athlete trampoline greenhouse it was on the vegan athletes Channel he did not design or build this greenhouse I kind of like the Justin Rhodes one he just captured it on video for us to see if you actually want to see how to build this structure or at least contact the company that build it I included the website it was a gross gaping calm as the family or company that built this greenhouse but how cool would it be to have a trampoline in the backyard for your kids to jump on and underneath it in the ground a greenhouse this is a lot of fun the only reason I didn't put this at number one is because I don't think you can easily control the temperature of this so he does say in that video that while it might be 110 or something outside that he's got it down to like 90 inside the greenhouse area so I think it's a great option it's a great use of space and really cool to sit down in their meal to watch your kids jumping on the trampoline but if you're really serious about growing vegetables I don't know if this is the one but still really cool and at number one is from homestead anomic s-- the sunken greenhouse [Music] I remember watching this a couple years ago and I'm so glad you guys reminded me of this one a really well-built structure this is a little more on the technical side but if you are working in a really hot area a desert gets really hot I think this is a great way to utilize the Sun and then still use the natural landscape to keep a cool greenhouse can't say enough about this guy's channel he does amazing builds great how to channel I initially stumbled upon him because of his chicken coop setup the way he was harvesting rainwater to water his chickens he does truly a work of art with all of his builds gotta check out homestead Atomics and his sunken greenhouse thank you so much for watching this week's top ten Tuesday we really appreciate it let us know in the comments how we did let us know if you're gonna make one of these we'd love to hear about it and go check out all these channels some really great gardening channels homestead and just great greenhouse ideas I also wanted to mention down in the description is a link to all most homestead who just got his video posted today thank you so much for rushing to get that done I hope it didn't come at the cost of of your bill but a great idea to repurpose some wood to use pallets to make a greenhouse check it out so that's it for this week's top ten Tuesday we appreciate you I'm sure to subscribe and check us out tomorrow we'll we'll be back with another vlog see you then you
