hey everyone financial prepper here how does your health affect your wealth are you physically fit and are you also fiscally fit so go over a few things on how your health can directly affect your wealth so being financially fit is just as important as being physically fit both have a direct link to your overall health stress and longevity so both require certain amount of education to understand the driving principles behind your efforts and the why you're doing what you do and both encompass a long-term plan for maximum results so let's kind of look at how those things have a relationship together if you don't work in your financial fitness and understand and apply those fundamental financial principles financial principles consistently you're going to be in poor financial shape if your financial diet also the info known as the information that you take in is equivalent of junk food you're probably going to have poor financial health and health habits physical habits when you make financial decisions based on what others are doing or what you see on social media without doing your own research chances are that you're going to hurt yourself financially so trying a different approach could help you break financial plateaus and achieve more gains you know financial results are just like losing weight or gaining muscle it just takes time and the right effort so kind of give you a few examples how of how i've experienced uh say health how my health could affect my wealth had a job in the past where we didn't have any sick time we had vacation time so if you got sick and needed to go to the doctor you had one of two options you either took time off without pay to go see the doctor or you use your vacation time well you couldn't take time on off without pay to go on vacation so most people opted to just take time off without pay to go to a doctor so now you're losing money because you got sick and most of the times it was flu common cold sinus infections things like that what i have done throughout my life especially since 2010 when my dad was diagnosed with lou gehrig's disease and just kind of saw his health degrade before he passed over a few years i just took my health real seriously just try to stay in physical shape go to the gym eat right eat the right foods and take the right supplements with everything going on right now with this uh scandemic and the virus spreading i just take vitamin c i take uh you know what is it same bucus or sambucol take those type of supplements especially when i'm traveling and i've noticed over the last five plus years i don't hardly ever have any problems very rarely would i even get a say an allergy issue with some allergies or something like that so for the most part pretty healthy following those good health practices just to keep my myself healthy well so when you're not at work you're not making money everyone knows the more you make the more you can put into your savings or your retirement the more you're going to see those compounding effects so let's eliminate that time away from work that we miss another way it can be directly affected let's just say those who are in retirement right now how much are you spending on your maintenance medications due to high blood pressure of cholesterol issues congestive heart failure diabetes these these issues can be fixed without just medication i feel the medical industry does a really good job of medicating us rather than healing us you know we're living longer at record ages historically now because of the maintenance medications that we have out there but we're not living the best quality of life so what kind of money you're gonna extra money you might spend in retirement just because you have all those conditions those who might have insulin pumps have implanted because they have severe diabetes what type of extra care you're going to have to pay for those with a lot of wealth in retirement or high net worth if you need some sort of home care because your medical needs require that chances are you're not going to qualify for for free home health care so you're going to be paying that out of your retirement money so that's extra money that you didn't plan for just to pay for your health i've heard it said before if you don't make time for your wellness you'll be forced to make time for your illness so that's one of those things that i would recommend everybody try to do try to get off those medications of course consult your doctor i'm not a doctor but i would say the less you're medicated the healthier you will be so so try to heal yourself uh one thing i'm going to do is leave a link in the description to a website to a documentary i watched years ago kind of one of those things that kind of helped change my my mind and my mindset on wanting to live as healthy of a life as possible so there's this documentary called fat sick and nearly dead it's about an australian businessman very wealthy guy had these long time underlying medical conditions and he decided he needed to stop eating pizza drinking beer party and just being unhealthy so he went on this he documented his his initial uh health kick to where he juiced mostly juiced and was able to cure himself almost completely of all his uh medications and diseases just through proper diet now i would recommend you get with your doctor if you were to do something like this but just use this as motivation watch it get yourself positively charged to take action to better affect your health because it has a huge effect on your wealth now i'm going to tell you another issue that i just personally ran into recently on how your health can affect your wealth so in the past i did a video about off-grid banking so off-grid banking is using a life insurance policy from a mutually owned company that pays a high cash dividend and this is where i recommend you put most of your savings and for me it's where all my savings emergency and opportunity savings fund and even you can use these as retirement accounts when you get older so i applied for a recent policy and i got kicked back saying they wanted some an insurance company wanted some documentation on my history of depression anxiety stress heart conditions cardiac congestive heart failure thinking well i don't have any of these conditions and then i started thinking back to what happened in the past so around 2012 on a monday just at work i wasn't feeling that great kind of felt this this pressure in my chest and the girl i was dating at the time was an rn kind of texting with her she's like go to the hospital went to the hospital went to the er immediately took me in the back ekg took some blood blood pressure all this stuff they looked at me and said you're perfectly fine we don't know what's wrong go sit in the waiting room and wait to see a doctor so i went in the rain waiting room and took a nap for about two hours until they finally allowed me to see a doctor woke up went see the doctor he's like you seem perfectly healthy but you you complain about some chest pressure how do you feel it's like well i feel perfectly fine after this two hour nap i feel great actually well i got convinced to stay at the hospital for three and a half days while they did multiple tests echocardiogram mri in the heart angiogram all kinds of stuff i don't even remember how to pronounce this stuff anymore for them to release me saying what we think you had was a minor heart flu something that athletes get when they over exert themselves which makes sense because that weekend before this girlfriend we spent time at her dad's hunting camp 40 acres and it was the middle of summer in hot humid louisiana and i was just busting butt all weekend physical labor clearing trees doing dirt work things like that so it made sense i was told to see a cardiologist a month later for a checkup i went see him they did all those some of those smaller tests he said you're perfectly fine you don't ever need to see a cardiologist again 2015 i entered the commissioning process for the united states air force i wanted to serve my country i want to be an officer they started looking at my medical history i was surprised to see over 140 pages of records from my stay in the hospital where these records stated history of stress depression anxiety congestive heart failure uh smoker uh anemic a bunch of things i had to write an affidavit to the air force surgeon general stating that these were false well i wasn't good enough i wanted having to go to a doctor and he did a slew of all these tests again the one where you're just in a pair of shorts and tennis shoes running on a treadmill with a face mask on and all these sensors on your chest and they're monitoring you and i ran on this thing for 10 minutes before they stopped me and said you're at athlete level so i passed all these cardiol cardiac tests at an athlete level submitted all this documentation to the air force uh to get my medical waiver was still denied uh which to me isn't god's plan he just didn't want me to to go that avenue but i had all this documentation from a cardiologist and all these tests that stated i'm perfectly healthy they have no underlying conditions so when the life insurance company sent me this request stating that they wanted all those medical records i was wondering where they got this from so talking with the underwriter they got it from the mib which is the medical insurance bureau now the medical insurance bureau is like the credit history for your health anything that ever happened to you that got reported is there and that's what life insurance companies use to determine if you're in good health and you're not lying on your application one good thing about the medical insurance bureau is you can contest it just like you can your credit score so there's a form i'll actually leave a link down below to the medical insurance bureau i would suggest you fill the forms out get a copy of your medical history and get in the process of contesting anything that you think might be false and it's no cost to you so i was able to submit all this documentation that i had from the air force that showed i was in good health or when i was trying to join the air force to show that i was in good health and got it taken off so that put me from the middle level which is uh your basic non-tobacco because i'm a non-smoker and i got the preferred non-tobacco which is higher and there's also a lower level for the insurance companies which is a rated non-tobacco and they also have a tobacco rating but the difference between the middle level and the preferred was one and a half percent guaranteed return on my cash value one and a half percent that's big so there that's a direct result of how my health could have affected my wealth but because i knew the steps and took those those steps to to contest what they thought was poor health i was able to get a guaranteed one and a half percent more on that cash value dividend and that insurance contract that's huge and i guarantee you there's probably quite a few other people out there who would have that now you can uh if you have any of these underlying conditions anywhere that you can't get applied for for life insurance don't let that worry you i would get if even if you have some now underlying conditions apply now and get get rated and get that policy in place for your off-grid banking and i'll leave a link below uh to a good blog post on my website you can read about off-grid bank and also to the video i did about it but get it done now because when and if and when your health gets better in the future after 12 months of the policy being issued you can ask for your health to be re-evaluated and then you can now get a better rating on your life insurance policy so it'll work one of two ways you can reduce the premium for the face amount or you can increase the face amount for the premium and i would recommend you increase the face amount for the premium because that increases your cash value dividend so you can always get better in your health with the life insurance policies if they rate you at one you can always get better but it's best to just start with the best rating you can from the beginning if you if you can help it and if you're someone like me that had some of these things in their medical insurance bureau record that didn't quite match what the true health of that person was so that's a very a good example just kind of experienced recently my biggest thing too is with all this going on with the masks wearing and and the virus out there there are some people who are affected by this and then they're missing time off from work can your family afford that time off from work do you have enough savings emergency savings to for that uh for that provider of the family to to not be having an earned income if they don't have something like a disability income insurance which usually only pays a percentage anyway but even if you have someone who has that disability income insurance and that percentage doesn't pay all the bills that needs to be paid how do you bridge that gap the healthier we are the less we will be affected by all of this now my myself i rarely see a doctor if i do i cut myself right i kind of feel like doctors need to be mostly for emergency type stuff not maintenance type stuff i got a cold because i may not be healthy enough for my immune system to ward off any viruses so i get a cold or a flu or sinus infection i used to get sinus infections when i worked an industrial job and wore ear plugs all the time and it and i have smaller ear canals that are sensitive and just wearing ear plugs all the time i was susceptible to uh to sinus infections and so wearing the ear muffs as opposed to ear plugs help circumvent that so find all those little ways that you can change your life to make your health better for you because that he'll have effects uh big effects those smaller ones they build up to be bigger ones uh be healthy people be as healthy as you can be those who are on medicare and have a medicare supplement get with your provider and see if they will cover your gym membership costs most of them do i used to be in the medicare industry so i had some experience with that most of the good companies will cover you and your spouse 100 on your your gym membership because they know that if you're healthier that costs them less in the long run than having to send you to the doctor paying for all your prescriptions and paying for your doctor's appointments and that just takes time away from fun stuff would you rather spend time going to the doctors and taking these pills and feeling unhealthy not have the energy to go out for a hike or a bike ride or walk or go for swimming or whatever you want to do or even having the energy to go visit your favorite sports team and go see a game live which we can't do much right now but maybe eventually we'll get back to that but just doing those things again getting to see your grandkids or your kids enjoy their sports games if you're not healthy enough to enjoy those things of life that's another part of your wealth that's a that's a spiritual or a mental wealth so now you can't enjoy those moments of happiness as easily as you could if your health was better health is big your physical health just it interacts so much with everything else in your life so hope you like this video like subscribe thumbs up thumbs down if you have any questions just send them to me thanks for watching

Frequently asked questions

Learn everything you need to know to use airSlate SignNow eSignatures like a pro.

How do you make a document that has an electronic signature?

How do you make this information that was not in a digital format a computer-readable document for the user? " "So the question is not only how can you get to an individual from an individual, but how can you get to an individual with a group of individuals. How do you get from one location and say let's go to this location and say let's go to that location. How do you get from, you know, some of the more traditional forms of information that you are used to seeing in a document or other forms. The ability to do that in a digital medium has been a huge challenge. I think we've done it, but there's some work that we have to do on the security side of that. And of course, there's the question of how do you protect it from being read by people that you're not intending to be able to actually read it? " When asked to describe what he means by a "user-centric" approach to security, Bensley responds that "you're still in a situation where you are still talking about a lot of the security that is done by individuals, but we've done a very good job of making it a user-centric process. You're not going to be able to create a document or something on your own that you can give to an individual. You can't just open and copy over and then give it to somebody else. You still have to do the work of the document being created in the first place and the work of the document being delivered in a secure manner."

How do you sign an electronic signature?

If you use a computer, you probably know the answer. But when I began my medical training, I was told that the answer was different. The "standard" answer was that the computer is not "really" a tool for signing documents. But the "standard" answer is not quite right. In an e-mail, I sent this query to a friend who worked at the National Institutes of Health, the agency that funded my training: Dear Friend: I have been reading about how doctors should treat e-mails ( treat the e-mails as though they were actual documents, not just as messages on the Internet). I have been wondering how doctors should treat electronic signature. In other words, how should I sign an electronic signature if the signature has come from a computer? And the answer was, "You should sign it." I don't believe it's a standard procedure, but it seems like a simple matter of etiquette. I'll tell you how I did it: After I received the paper version of my first medical record from the NIH, I took a pen and paper to the file and wrote the first two letters of each row, beginning with "Dr. Smith." Then I proceeded to the next rows, and wrote "Patient" in the same order, until the bottom of the paper. I copied the entire row, and then folded it back up, placed the paper in a plastic baggie, and put the plastic baggie in front of the file. I then opened the file in an office-size computer, and signed the top of the file by hand, using the "standard" way to sign, which is to place your thumb on an upwar...
