notary services so i'm going to go with the first one and this is the very the most popular industry that every notary is actually going to go to and the first one is real estate uh when i say real estate um with real estate there's many umbrellas like underneath real estate here on one side i'm sorry let me keisha so here's the link let me see if i can copy okay i can't copy and paste it pretty sure keisha is the person that will can give you some advice on working as a notary in that particular state if she's you know she's willing to i'm just putting that out there um for her okay so back to um what was going on so the top place is i stated as before it was real estate and when i say real estate there is many different um places that you can market to in the real estate uh real estate industry so i'm just gonna give you a few places um for example the biggest one title companies um you could look up towel companies um real estate agents um and also you can look at real estate brokers um brokers own the real estate offices sometimes a lot of times so with that being said those are um the top places in the real estate community there's other little places but those are the only ones i want to go over here today is the towel companies real estate agents and also real estate brokers so the next thing is here i have wrote it down i'm definitely a pen and paper uh person so i wrote it down so we make sure we go through i cover everything so the second group of people that you know well place that you should market to is mortgage lending offices um i'm very specific with that word mortgage lending offices because lending could be anything a bank you can go you know bank of america as a lender chase is a lender you know but we really want to get pacific especially when you're doing loan closings you want people who are giving out these loan closing so in order to find like mortgage lenders um because sometimes they actually do have offices in your local area you can get on google.com and you can type in um mortgage lenders near me and when you type in mortgage lenders and me only one the only ones the only lenders that will show is mortgage company mortgage lending companies so when you when you market it in they have plenty of work for you they have loan closings they use mobile notaries um in those businesses even though sometimes some of them use a selling service trust me it does not hurt to have your card and knowing that you're available because a lot of times people really do want to connect with other people in the community so don't feel like you cannot walk into there and market your services um go ahead and market your services in that mortgage lending office and that is the best way to be honest to find those clients um for the mortgage industry so let me go back in the comments guys because i love engaging with everyone so i do i will stop and go through um happy nappy said requested to join the group hello all in present clicked on as soon as i saw that bell yep guys make sure you hit that bell notification i know this i have been absent from the live a lot but you know i just have a lot that i'm trying to work on with building this empire um that i have going on you know so with that being said let me get back to the subject so all questions um i will answer them at the end um it won't take too long to get through this list but blessed is she i will answer your question i don't want you to think i don't see it um but i really want to get this information out for everyone because i really do want people to make it and there's no reason to asian business and i want people to know that there is more than just one industry to market your notary services too you know it's all it's not all about the loan closings it's all about you know different things that you could market to and monetize on so the next thing on my list is you can actually market your notary services to local schools in your area sometimes somebody might need a notary there um it just depending on the area and the location but schools are something that a lot of notaries will look over um you can mark your services there um another place is some you can go to a dentist or a doctor's office um just it just depends depends on the location but it doesn't hurt to walk in there i'm it does not hurt to walk in there the worst that can happen if you walk in there and market your services is either they're gonna say no thank you or they're gonna say you can't come in here no more or you're not allowed to do that you know and to me that's that's nothing you know what i'm saying because really for every no for everyone to receive that's a yes so i wouldn't worry about that but that the dentist's office are a great um place to market and also the doctor offices so the next place is i'm going number six is i'm going to go to um builders um when you're looking for builders builders are basically people who build all these brand new homes um they're building companies where they actually use notaries that is a great field to get in i'm a lot of people overlook it um actually i want to say people overlook it a lot of people don't know or the information is not there but you can go to builders and again to find that stuff it's 2020 you can go on google.com and you can type in buildersnare me and when you type that in you're going to see home builders um maybe i can give an example of a home builder i want to say is it craft let me see maybe someone in the comment could can um give someone an example of what a builder is so we have dream builders uh dream home builders i'm here local where i'm at but it's it's a popular one oh carruthers that's what it is um carruthers so you can go um market to these um building companies or you know get in that circle the best way to market to be honest in any industry especially if you don't have any experience in the industry and you don't hang out with those people on a regular the best way to start engaging with people like that is to start hanging out where they hang out at and most organizations have some type of conference meetups or something going on the same thing in the notary community you know we the n a um does a conference every single year um that is a perfect place where you can find people to network with so that is pretty much an example of how you can go about finding builders so let me see um maybe maybe i'll stop and answer some questions let me see okay now i won't answer the questions at the end because i don't want um no one to get confused but everyone i won't go back to your questions you could type them in and then at the end i will make sure i answer your questions um the next place is already builders the local dmv offices now i'm not sure what some of them mean been needing notifiers lately but there are certain documents there that needs to be notarized and they don't have a notary um that is a great place to market your services to because what end up happening is i seen um on one notary she was actually able she has a deal with the dmv uh whenever a client needs something notarized they actually call her and she comes up there and she notifies the documents she charges her own fees the dmv has no control over her only thing is they call and she comes and that's pretty much it but she receives her money so that's one group of people you could know to write market your notary services to go there have you a business card if you don't have a business card make sure you get a business card um vistaprint.com is the cheapest the best way to be honest i want to tell you truth as many businesses i've probably done started um as far as business cards i'm always i think i'm always just going to go to vistaprint um it's easy simple it's a fast delivery and i don't have to it's not too complicated you know i'm all about speed and i want my things as soon as possible so i'm not going to spend too much time on the business card trying to decorate it and get someone decorated and hope they print it out blah blah blah blah vistaprint is your friend go on vistaprint.com order yourself some business cards and start marketing um your business and business cards can cost you like under ten dollars for maybe 100 or more um it just depended on when you i'm going to that website for the specials so next place we're going to go to now we're at number eight is you can actually advertise to local businesses in your area um get to know some of these small businesses see what they do see um what exactly what they do what kind of customers in there to be honest it does not hurt even if you suspend one day in your local community at you know those little mom-and-pop shops or whatever um everyone has a downtown area um you can just go in there and just introduce yourself don't even you're not offering your services you're just telling them hey how you doing just came here to check out your business and i just want to let you know i'm a mobile notary i'm local and that's it and you know and just leave you're just going about your day just letting people know just let people know that the service is available i'm keisha i'm in texas yes so that that to be honest is a great way um to really market with the local businesses because some of them do have clients who need notaries and to be honest they just end up sending the people to the bank or something because most people never heard of a mobile notary and not only that they're used to notaries they're used to having to go to the notary but we have we're a business and we're a service so we can come to you you know so that's um what i say market to your local area because sometimes they do need mobile notary services so now we're gonna go into number we have two more places um that i want to go over so i have um lawyer offices believe it or not lawyers um still need notaries and that just depends on the lawyer office that they have so some lawyer offices to be honest they are like a smaller firm or some of them they're um independently ran i want to say that pllc or something like that but um the ones that are independent where just them those people need notaries one they don't have a team of people or lawyers um it's only them so whenever they need something notarized a lot of times i'm pretty sure what they're doing is telling the client uh take this paper and get a notarized and bring it back to me you know but you could be that that recommendation if if that lawyer know that he can have someone to go he could send out there to notarize a document on um on hand i would i would definitely um start they will definitely call you um you'll be the first person to call so let me go let me see keisha axe let me see let me go to this last one keisha and everyone and i will answer your questions so the last place i have on my list is tow truck companies i'm a lot of people do not go there um and to be honest a notary is needed at the tow truck company um i'm not sure if anybody been in a situation where their car may have been told or how about this someone else had got your car towed and um you're in a different state so i'm pretty sure the process how it works is is say if i'm driving my friend car well no no let's say i'm driving a car but it's financed through someone else's financing or someone else's car period and it has a different name on it than mines when i go pick up that car they will not allow me to pick that car up unless the owner gives permission for me to pick that car up now depending on where the person located that um i had a situation with a person that owned the car was in florida so that that person had to find a way to get permission so what ended up happening was um there was an affidavit that had to be written um by them that they ended up writing and i had to notarize that um yeah so i have to notarize that and i ended up uh what ended up happening is with that letter that person can get the car out you know i'm not sure exactly the exact process but i do know one thing i do know a notary was needed um there's another form up there that that was saying that it has to be notarized and what ended up happening was i know at one told a tow truck company they ended up just hiring they ended up just becoming a notary so that you know that way they can just take the fee to five dollar fee but not everyone does that um a lot of them they'll just leave it up to the client to find a notary and the client is struggling so that is one way um to that is one last place to market your services so hopefully those places were very helpful i won't go and back into these comments and i want to answer these questions um i know so we started with blessings being that i work a full-time job what is the latest you will recommend do doing a signing what is the latest a company would do a signing so as far as so let's go back um the latest that i would do a signing to be honest there was never really a time it j st depended on how i feel um to be honest signings really i want i wouldn't put no time limits on signings and i'm i'm gonna say that i won't worry about putting the time because it's all about when the borrower is available um some borrowers only available at one o'clock in the morning you know but maybe you know you could maybe charge a little bit more you know if it's a signing at two o'clock in the morning um to be honest so the latest um it depends on what you want and how comfortable you feel um as far as what's the latest it just depends there's no like set schedule on when closings can't happen um a closing can happen anytime that any time that they need to be if a client is only available at three in the morning six in the morning then that's when the closing is going to happen um so that's that's my recommendation on that so let's go to the rest of the comments how do you become a notary um monica the best way to become a notary is to go to the national notary.org and go to the top right make sure you're on your state flag pick your state and once when you pick your state um it will come up a screen and on the left it will say become notary and you'll click become notary and that is the best way to become a notary okay i'm thinking of getting my notary go ahead and get it um i'm just going to say tammy don't need to think about it just go ahead and actually purchase your commission and you just learned about so somebody said rear door homes vista print okay so how do you market when places are closed do the covet so another well it depends on what place it is because some of these places are closed so i will say with the title companies for example you know they're closed but depending on the area i know where i'm at the title company been doing zoom um they've been doing a whole lot of zoom calls where they're doing trainings free trainings um for the public so that that's how i market to them i'll start attending their events making myself you know um around them just being on all their lives and stuff like that but as far as marketing coveted to be honest it's hard you may have to just start getting on the phone just getting on the phone honestly i would get on the phone um especially marketing to these title companies letting them know that you're mobile um if you don't have a social media presence for your mobile notary business i would go ahead and get one you know because come they're looking for people who are serious and not just people who just doing this they're looking for serious people so i would get on social media advertise your business but right now with covet depending on where you're located at it is a little hard um with the marketing but i mean there's other ways you could look into off marketing um strategy you know make sure you have your website make sure maybe on your website you have some type of booking link to where so people can book appointments and learn about your services um hopefully keisha that answered your question oh and i'm in texas to am also keisha um michelle said how do i like canva i love canva everything just about a lot of the graphics you see i made in canva um the thumb some of the thumbnails canva most of them canva uh facebook posts canvas so i love canva canva is the best thing um ever it's way easier to photoshop uh let me see yeah caught another lie yes yes yes okay so let me see yes you welcome um tell me shia okay what do you charge signings um to be honest it depends i mean there's many different factors it depends on the type of signing it depends on how far it is where where i'm going um how many people going to be there you know it just depends but you know the fees can range from for signings you know i've seen as low as 40 dollars to 200 you know it just really depends it's a lot of factors involved uh when you're charging for signings um hopefully i was able to answer your questions stephen let's see what is the best title um let me see the doors are closed but the fast machine make a copy of your card yeah that's a great idea but i didn't know people still have fax machines um blessed is she so what is the best title on your business card so it really i mean i guess it depends me i would just put notary uh public or i'll put notary in public it just depends on what your business name is you know i feel like your business name don't state that your mobile service then you should have mobile notary maybe on your business card so it just really depends on on um i guess on what on how you have your thing set up um to be honest with you but also you have to be careful with your title because some states are really strict on what you can identify yourself as so you always want to look into that information before you just put anything in um especially when you are located in these attorney states you just want to be really careful um so somebody said what canva is okay thank you um stephen for answering the what is canva uh website so canva is basically like we create face graphics um where people create social media graphics if you uh crafty you can make logos you can make anything in there it's just the fact that you know how to really use it but it is very user friendly for
