Bennett if you all come and make sure you stop at the table and introduce yourself so I know everybody's going to be busy what's the agenda starts up there so but if you get a chance I'd sure like getting a chance to meet you face-to-face so which head on the meeting as well from an IT perspective it's a perfect audience so what I thought I would do and of course it's your meeting I don't want a PowerPoint you to desk I did just want to show you a couple of slides the first one is on the screen and I want a chat especially from an IT perspective but more more so overall in agriculture you're going to see a platform today and that is a key word and the reason platform is a key word is if you're looking at the logos on the screen right now the same software platform that's in Nebraska doing Evi is it's the same software platform that's in Georgia doing CG fertilizer in line and it's the same software platform doing restaurant inspections in Mississippi identical software in North Carolina doing animal welfare and pesticides as well as sleep products it is our first entree into agriculture was with the United States Department of Agriculture and we recently initiated a brand contract with those folks as well so all that to say you will as the business in collaboration with IT make the platform do what you needed to do and when I say make it get what you need you will decide what data elements belong to the app and you don't have to worry about an chad key point you don't have to worry about whether the user is coming in over the web as a veterinarian in the state or a user is come in with an ipad and running an app in a native mode or using their smartphones so once once an app is built by the business / IT that app without any changes whatsoever will run across iOS Windows Android and any html5 browser which pretty much covers the gamut from Mozilla Firefox the chrome to edge so with that again you're meeting interrupt me as we go give you a good example of all the apps that are built in this platform just so you know it's the real deal you can be in dairy or you can be doing the upholstery so I am going to go over the app design tool itself is a web-based tool question Bob yes Jane you said that you kind of tractor with the USDA is this the platform that they're using for the VSPs you see there it is not know that so that's been around there for a while we are working on some ancillary applications and unfortunately I don't have a lot of detail I work state government and as you would expect somebody else takes care of the federal side of life so I know that contract came in about four days ago so and that's about as much as I can tell you if you would like to know more detail happy to go dig it up email as a follow up to give me the details okay I'm just curious thank no worries so this is the design tool so this is the tool that we've used to build a new CBI app is the tool we use to build our option it's the tool that our customers and Arkansas use to build their apps so depending on the relationship between IT in the business if you look at the customers I support I would tell you that 70% of the time either the business or the IT department is building their own apps completely independent of my organization now we are as you would hope and expect we are always there so if dr. Lewis picks up the phone and says hey I've got to have it I got to have it now and Ted's on three weeks vacation well we're certainly going to offer professional services IT is very much a part of our life as a software company in fact it's all we do we don't sell hardware whatsoever so no service no switches no iPads strictly a software platform so I think at the end I'll look for a little bit of agreement and the first question I'll ask you before we say goodbye is did it seem easy to use because it's important and the design of this tool was meant to build a collaborative bridge between the business and our technical resource department so we want to make sure that the tool itself at least from a business perspective as they choose to they have the capability to build their own app either most of it or all of it so I want to take you through what what does it take to build an app and I am not very creative so please bear with me and we're going to put dr. Smith here this is the design tool Chad so when you share the video just when we store it the mobile apps next-gen designer is what's on the screen for those who will watch this later on and this web-based design tool allows you to take any imaginable data element and they're all listed on the left hand side anything you could possibly think of wanting to capture in the way of data is strictly listed down the left hand side so to build an app you click drag and drop so without being a programmer and I'm not I'm just going to click on the date' drag it to my apps screen and drop it now Chad we will build database automatically ina scenes we are sequel for the IT folks and you'll see on the right hand side now the field ID says date so that's how it's going to go into a sequel database the caption is what dr. Smith wants me to see when I open up this app and for Bob you have to be really clear that we want today's date if it's a data element that is required by the business required by the state or required by the federal regulatory body just check the box that says it's required if you want to do time stamping just change the format and now you'll get date and time so it's Fatty's you do click drag and drop will build the database automatically you check a box if you want it to be required in other words if I'm filling out this app if I don't give you the date the transaction will not be successful and the user will get one of those great boxes that we've become accustomed to that says nope you forgot something so I'm going to grab just a couple more fields just because I want to show you all how easy it is even to build integration with the SAP platform so I'm going to dry out drag a drop-down times two and then I'm going to grab just a single what we call a data entry field times two now if I say the word interface most people cringe because they know in a lot of cases it takes months to build a data interface and do an integration anytime you want to populate or pre populate any of these fields with an existing file in New York it's going to be this easy I'm going to go over to the data tab here and on the left hand side based on my credentials these are all the databases that I have available to me so if I click on a database I'm allowed to then drag that database you've got to learn to click you can a database and drag it to your screen to populate any field in the app so on the right hand side now it shows me that this drop-down has been connected to something that exists today and in New York by example to a fields called name well this is our facility name I'm most likely have you address so I'm going to populate the address and I'm going to populate the city now you can preview or test any of these and typing skills - they're not what we'd like you can test any of these fields by clicking the preview button so if you want to see if we've built a successful data integration that easy I click the drop-down and there's Connecticut and when I click Connecticut I've got the address so now when you ask technical resources to connect your app platform to existing data files in New York they can do this where the business can do this without hard coding and building a lot of one-offs air faces Chad that makes sense yeah it makes it make sense to me okay so yeah assuming that person who is doing the design assuming their credentials will allow them access to these files on a network share or in a database environment they can build data integrations now you can also on a drop-down like this I'm going to call this my weather drop-down and I don't have an existing database where I want to populate this however I can quantify what the choices are just by going and putting sunny and I'm going to add rain and be cloudy and you can add as many as you want so you can take this drop-down list populate it with a spreadsheet you can take this drop-down list populated with a database or as I just did create a static list so just to cover a couple of additional fields if you go over here where it says touch you've got your photographs you can take as many pictures by checking a box allow multiple images you can size these things to by the way signatures you can get GPS coordinates so if you were doing inspections and you wanted to be able to show an auditor that you were where you said you were important to note test from an IT perspective every data element every single element when I click is capturing its own unique date and time stamp so a year from now somebody says that dr. Lewis you said you were at old MacDonald's farm on the 7th of October 2018 can you prove it well that would take you about 60 seconds to find that inspection report and actually be able to demonstrate the date and time that the signature went into the app so it is and I can show you an example of the XML file later on but you can see here you can do barcodes you can also do in the world of disease traceability you can also do mapping so if you want to see the deal coordinates actually on a map Tara are we ESRI in New York yes okay so we have integrations built as we are in ESRI partner so you could take the captured GPS coordinates and it's important to to note they don't have to display on the screen anything you see on the screen right now can be hidden behind the scene but still capture the data so I can automatically capture the date and the time when the app was open and not show it to the user I can capture the GPS coordinates when the app was open not sure which is the user so after the fact or during the fact you can populate the GPS coordinates on a map and I can show you an example of that as well so this is the tool that we've used to build the EC vif if you hit the preview button and Aaron wants to see well let's see the app I just up what's it look like on my phone but the phone button so you can rotate the devices and literally test everything from your desk including GPS and all that good stuff yellow highlight just means there's a business rule if you remember we made the data required field so like click the red X it tells you using what what the requirement is and it will also highlight on the screen whether phone or tablet or otherwise that will highlight all the business rules as well so I'm going to go over I've logged on with my surface tablet and this is what I'm going to see as user now the way the system is organized it's organized in a multi-tenant hierarchical fashion so department of agriculture in new york and then underneath that where the agency underneath the agency you could have various departments within the departments of course is where you'd find your users a Chad we won't take everybody's time for administration but if you want to see the system admin server stuff how do you show it to you at your convenience users have roles and responsibilities pretty much standard these days without a database technology and based on my credentials these are the apps that are available to me so dr. Smith you may have only agriculture apps but Chad has all the apps Department of Transportation children or family agriculture right so based on which group you're associated with and you can be a member of more than one group those are the apps that will display so with my login credentials you can see I can do a feed inspection I can look at the deer pens and we'll show you what this ECE AI looks like as an example so I'm going to put some data in some nut sitting here doing a bunch of typing but the certificate number will auto populate based on a starting sequence in New York you can any of these feels like permit number if there again is there's a sequential logic that can be built in as well Chad any date/time fields can automatically populated again when the user actually opens the app and then and you know this stuff better than I do the rest is pretty much straightforward but I will tell you you can navigate through any app in this platform lower right hand corner has an arrow left hand corner has an arrow or if dr. Lu says no I just want to get right to the physical destination section you can just use that menu in the middle and these menus are defined by our customers so you decide how you want to quantify the data elements in some cases depending on the complexity of the apps folks like to have just one screen and and that means as you probably can imagine that means a whole lot of scrolling when you're looking at an app like this right but all of these sections that you see here in this menu could literally be on one screen and you have that scroll bar on the right hand side so this is the way we chose to break it up based on input that we had from from some of the first states that looked at this when we were putting the platform together to submit for approval so as you go through again you can also hotkey U so that physical origin button on the screen so you can hotkey you can repurpose data so if I say it's a same as the consignor we can move data from section to section without having to retype it if you have a database of all the veterinarians in the state with the accreditation code that's how we all Senate aged folks out in Nebraska they put in their name then they put in their state of credit accreditation code we match that up to a table Chad behind the scenes to make sure we've got the real deal excuse me so from from here it's basically again what you very much used already we want to get the shipment information the transportation information and the destination it's important to note folks we will send once we generate the certificate we will send a copy to the state of Lords and in this case New York but we will also send the electronic copy to the destination so you don't have to take any manual action once a certificate is submitted you'll get an electronic copy the state of destination will get a copy and we will generate that version two XML file that has been published by you Saha questions so in this example we've got 26 ahead that have been inspected that's what's going to be on the certificate we know now with that red X from the upper left-hand corner we're missing some data or some data elements to be able to successfully submit this if I click the red X it tells me exactly what I'm missing and it's looking for my signature and we'll go ahead and shine it red X in the upper left-hand corner for the users turn still getting light and now they can go ahead and they can print the certificate for the owner or they can send just a copy to the office I'm assuming New York not being much different they're going to want to print that certificate at the point of inspection as well as send a copy to this state and at that point we'll generate the file and then again we'll send along a copy to the state of destination if there is no connectivity if I'm at Bob's forum and I'm using my iPad and there is no network available I will not lose the inspection data it will remain on the iPad and an encrypted container until that iPad or phone or whatever can talk back to the network Alaba nominee credit veterinarian at a farm filling out a health certificate with this application form I'm open like I the state veterinarian do not want these people accessing our state database to auto fill fields ok we'll we'll a private veterinarian let's say this is fourth time going to the same farm to fill out see is he going to have access or is she going to have access to his or her previous CBI's to auto populate fields the way it comes off the shelf if you don't give them access to download data their data to the database to their local we use what's called sequel Lite and something called data replication so you could when I log in the first time you could let me download only data that you want as far as pertinent specifically to be the user of V the veteran area if you don't want them to have access to those tables that's something that can be done it's not done today so if I logged on today and I did a certificate I went back tomorrow to the same farm did a certificate that data could be captured and reused from my device but that's something that would have to be built custom yeah I'm a little bit nervous about giving any veterinarian access to our database the potential there for abuse is significant with thirty thousand farms listed there yeah if it were a read-only connection is it still a concern yeah I would be worried about unauthorized people at the veterinary clinic getting access to our database and not everyone that works in the veterinary clinic is a fan of animal agriculture and you get it right either a veterinarian or an office worker or a technician who's got a bone to pick with sa dairy farms they could potentially access all of our premises data for dairy farms in the state and release it to say Peter or somebody and that would not be good yeah I hear you I hear the concern again that's up to you as far as what access you give folks of course the reason these things are designed the way they are is to minimize the data entry now as I shared with earlier of course you have to have credentials to get into the system but as we know regards to whether your Microsoft Bank of America or Visa write a hax a hack - hack - hack so at the end of the day it's a very secured platform doesn't mean it's completely yeah we know the biggest and the brightest attorney rooms out there have had their challenges over the years but the good news is it's configurable by you all you can give me only access based on my credentials and if it just means that there may be more typing involved if you don't allow that to leverage data that's already there for old McDonald spawn I took yeah and there may be I don't care this just may be a future discussion there may be a way to build a separate table that potentially has some of the data that dr. Smith would be comfortable to repurpose to an app but not all of the data so that's something that as we go forward if it would go forward with this that's certainly open for discussion but the answer to your question is yes you could repurpose the data on my local device based on the certificates I'm submitting but that would be something to be built everything we do yes I'm sorry yeah the first people a couple years ago about your products and they seem very upbeat about your products ability to work with core one that's building peace yes yes and you know one of the things that USA HHA did for us this is - as we speak today the only platform now that meets the new standard but the good news is by creating that XML standard it actually Ted creates the data exchange that's needed to move this stuff over to cool one USA herds or there for the rest of the world so you know the good the good news about standards is it does give you a much easier conduit to do a data exchange all those certificates will get like I said emails automatically one pay much attention yeah so I think here's the one that was just generated from the sample data so all those files are going to show up again origination as well as destination we're also going to hold on to things and what we call a Content Download Center you can choose to purge this you can choose to do what you want with it you get my credentials in here what we do is we take any files that are generated by any app whether it's ecv I or my dairy farm inspection and we're going to hold on to those files and in this case I've got a CSV file because it was being tested for an Excel spreadsheet I've got a PDF on an XML file so as long as I'm already here let me show you that XML file I mentioned earlier is very granular so so I got a new machine over the weekend so some things have not been turned on yet but you can see in this XML file all the unique date and time stamps Ted so on an audit if somebody came in the door and questioned their date and time you can even show them when the signatures were captured so again it's granular down to the field level we also provided the ability to go into what's called my analytics and this would be appropriate if you used just ecv eyes and of course it's only going to leave on populate GCV eyes but if you were to branch the platform into other areas of agriculture then you would be able to look at of course any data collected by any app in New York and Ted does the state have an existent as agriculture they're having existing standard for business intelligence dashboarding I I don't know if it's a agriculture standard or if it's a state IT s standard but I would think so okay okay as we wrap up if that went if that does not exist in New York and I apologize said maybe I should know this but you know for instance in Connecticut there is none so you know we're looking at what are the tools available to report data from the platform in North Carolina they use a combination of crystal the product that's on the screen now as well as standard sequel reporting services all that to say the XML files from the certificate and or any other app that you would run in New York is available to be reported on as simple as a PDF report and in this example more complex looking at the data geospatially if you see character-based reporting on the screen that's going to work just like Excel one of the things leadership teams like about this in this example if I click on just Mecklenburg County all the data automatically filter Lindbergh you want to do trend analysis of Licensing and that kind of data things that were listed non-complying forceps tools are being used today so again Ted if there is no standard there just be aware this is of all the things we've spoken about and shown so far this is the only thing that's an option so everything else is standard with the with the platform this is the only optional piece of software great do I need to see if I can get one more example one of the things that typically comes up from a leadership perspective is how easy it is for me to find a specific report without going through gyrations and multiple platforms and all that good stuff so just show you one example you know if I spotted an anomaly on my dashboard and I see an inspection or a license that's expired and I want to get down into the details I can do that via these dashboards and I'll just grab one of them will grab record over here first up we call it drill true or drill down I'm going to right click my mouse I'm going to use the drill through button and I'm going to go to all the inspections that were done by Ricardo now you can see in this particular example where even splitting out the photographs from the inspection so they are standing a kind of by themselves but if dr. Bennett wanted to get right down to the report and see that specific report we can go ahead and what we call click on that link called a hotlink and when I click open we'll get that very specific inspection as it was presented to the system back in September last year so it's that that quick and easy to get to the data the last thing I want to cover here real quick is how you hook this if I'm the veterinarian in the state of New York obviously this isn't an example of a vet but you'll get the idea so you can Chad you can't put this EDI on a webpage in New York you know running out of the DMZ if you want but all that is when I click on the link I'm going to go launch the actual app itself so I don't have to have credentials in this particular example this is set up to take an application for somebody that wants to grow industrial hemp right so I have no credentials to sign on with it's what we call a public facing app so just be aware the platform has the capability to run internal in New York for licensed users so when dr. Bennett and dr. Lewis and dr. Smith log on we look for a set of credentials chad's from your fact that we are Active Directory compliant so assuming New York uses Active Directory we will support that connectivity so what I'm sure dr. Smith would love more passwords but we'll use the same ones you have in Active Directory for a public-facing form in my example again of them if I've got a dealer if I've got a breeder if I've got a state veterinarian where a veterinarian in the state excuse me wanting to come in and access an app they don't need credentials so like I said I just launched this hemp application where they have your user set of credentials so within any any math any boolean logic for you real quick I'm just going to do a renewal and so when I put in my existing license number you can see it knows I'm a grower in this example it knows what my fees are due and of course based on my license number it's got all the rest of the data and talk much about grids but you know in your world if I were looking at 50 your head I don't want to have to have 50 lines on the screen and chew up all that screen real estate so we do what we call grids so that when these apps are designed and built there's a grid I will keep populated and give the user a blank line every time the user asks so if I'm looking at three head I get three lines if I need 30 lines it'll just keep feeding me those lines until I'm done just TPS here it's up yes sir tonight input analyze the universe from a spreadsheet you sure can you sure can't as as part of the app designer one of one of the data elements I didn't cover based on time this is something actually called file attachment so on a file attachment if you add this to an app you can just upload the spreadsheet and all the animals that of course are in that spreadsheet we'll just go ahead and populate now realize that without looking at the spreadsheet one of one of the things that we have committed to with you Saha is we will let New York Ohio Florida add anything to the core app that they want however we will not disrupt the integrity of the core app it always needs to be able to be compliant with that XML two schema so the data element in the HPV I obviously has to be part of that spreadsheet okay so one of the things with DCI for large animal books is quite a go where there's going to be a lots of long Apple ID numbers and these books will probably be reading those with electronic for years which should be populating a spreadsheet and there need to be a way to accurately import that information from the spreadsheet into an easy bi application just to make it easy on the veterinarian you've got to do this work and also reduce the likelihood of transposition errors and omissions yep and we've already tested low frequency and high frequency and I know the jury's still out on the technology piece I guess and you know better than I do but I'm working through my mind I think it's January of 2023 that's how I bet final day for adoption of RFID if my RFID reader has Bluetooth connection is there a way for that reader directly populate that and like the state says I read that you bet you bet and and actually wear that I expect the first place will see that as Idaho and we're probably going to see it at the sale yard first so you know vert versus me standing at Bob's farm try issued 50 animals right I think the first practical app we would expect would be a premise reader out of saleyard so as they come through the chute we're reading them as they come through the chute and populating the app if you look just to actually I'll go back to the designers do this reporting sar where the business can lay out the reports in Microsoft Word and if you know how to use word you probably know you can do a save as PDF of the earlier question what kind of stuffs are on of USDA I'm just looking at what they're doing here so on the screen right now I guess it's some stuff that the team is working on field of USDA but if you can use Microsoft Word you can build your own reports the good news is the government a lot of times will publish the PDFs on the website and all we need to do is have a PDF so if I do my layout said the business does it in Microsoft Word if they do a save as PDF then just like when you design an app click drag and drop your click drag and drop if this is my produce ID I click it drag it and drop it so every time this generates a transaction the FDA 4056 will automatically generate so as the user opens up this app provides these data elements then that's what that transaction arrives at the server the server takes the data and automatically populates it to this PDF report so you can use the business intelligence my analytics for graphical data visualization reports you can build character text based reports by something as simple as Microsoft Word or any tool even Excel that would allow you to do as PDF and then again you just open up the PDF so here's my app is the new FISMA app I open up the PDF on the report tab and click drag and drop stops right where I want to put it and again do not limit it to page you see there this is an iron page FDA report thank you Chad's purely IT for 30 seconds if there's complex calculations that need to occur when there is no network because this platform will work full of functionality if there is no network so of AT&T horizon take off today my users are still out on the street doing their inspections generating certificates whatever they need to be doing right so we use what's called data replication service we've snapshot data from the office we put it on Bob's device and he goes about his business now if you can think of it in terms of boolean logic the platform has that capability so if you needed data elements to be calculated together to produce additional new data elements that is going to be done in this tab here called script so Chad's your benefit this script tool if it's stuff that needs to run on the device outside the building regards to network connectivity those scripts are Java scripts if it's workflow is a certificate comes in and it's supposed to round to dr. Lewis who then signs off and it gets routed to dr. Smith who signs off anything that needs to happen in the office after the data has been submitted that script is going to be dotnet so I had to get something in there for the IP folks so that's kind of that's that's an end-to-end I want to be respect on there everybody's got a ton of stuff to do and we'll get to see one another hopefully in Rhode Island but that's I hope gives you an overview of the ease of use of building arts building reports certainly hope it gives you an overview of what this now been designed to do in the way of CVI and questions at 1:52 again out of respect to your calendars dr. Smith dr. Lewis anybody has dr.
