hey everybody aaron cowan sage dynamics in this video we're going to talk about the monsoon tactical chunk port when i first saw the chunk board it wasn't on a 2011 it was on a different gun but i had just recently completed a video on the staccato xl rdo which i've been waiting for for some time i always like the xl i like the five plus inch gun but i wanted it to be optics ready because i generally don't pick up guns these days that are irons only and i don't want to go through the milling process if i can avoid it so i picked one one of those up did a review you can find another channel 2000 round standard review that i do and i didn't really care for the recoil pulse as much as i thought i would there's nothing wrong with it it just for my feeling it has a little bit of negative recoil so i decided to send that gun off to monsoon tactical and have them do their full package on the excel wasn't offered on the website but i contacted them said hey money in hand can you guys make this happen and they gladly said yes send it off and it came back really quick in od green they also did their framework to it but of course the most important part kind of the purpose of the review or what most people are going to focus on even though the grip work is not only aesthetically pleasing it's very grippy because it's in the name we definitely want that they did a really good od green cerakote matching slide and frame but the actual chunk port itself is machined into the slide and into the barrel which work hopefully in a perfect harmony during a 2000 round review process now the only deviation in this review process from what you might be used to is there won't be any drop tests in this because i'm not worried about the optic footprint for the purposes of this next 2000 rounds i'm gonna put through this staccato xl i'm focusing just on the work that monsoon tactical did which is obviously making sure everything went back together correctly after disassembly reassembly but also seeing if their chunk port adds any performance or affects accuracy in any way getting into that 2000 rounds the first 500 rounds i was getting a feel to be reacquainted with the upgraded version of my scado xl with that chunk port the well i guess machined in compensator machined in porting if you will you'll notice it's not traditional porting it's one big chamber like what you'd expansion chamber like what you'd see from a comp right there at the uncorking portion of the barrel which means i lost virtually no velocity of no vessel velocity on the rounds i was shooting with review i shot a lot of 124 124 plus p...
