if you've played around with lightroom's new select subject feature you know that it is good in fact it is really good but it's not perfect today we're going to be putting it to the test and see just how good it is my name is casey and let's get started okay in front of us we have a selection of eight images i found that i thought would either be a good example to show on how select subject works or a challenge for select subject i think each of these images is going to offer a different opportunity for us to take a look at just how good this uh this works and if it's going to be useful for our workflow so let's go ahead and let's go into the first image you know we're going to be using a smattering of different presets over the course of all of these images so we'll go ahead and we'll dive into this first image this image is by catherine thank you catherine for sending these in in fact let me go back all of these images are from our community if you would like to submit your image for a future edit go ahead check out the link in the description below and you can submit yeah a raw photo and get your image edited on our youtube channel um so yeah let's go ahead and get started so thanks again catherine it looks here like you are requesting for a fuji i'm it's just as fuji so i'm guessing fuji original which is great something i would use on this i think fuji 400h which is good there's a lot of green in fact let's let's see fuji 400h maybe fuji 400h blue if you're unfamiliar 400h blue is a one of the only presets that we make that is different from an actual film it's just it tints the greens in the photo to be a little bit more desaturated a little bit more that sort of california sage green so let's see what that looks like yeah it just sort of brings it down i think for this image i'm going to keep it a little bit more vibrant and we'll keep it at fuji 400h so here we have our first image i'm going to just do our quick workflow we have a ton of other videos about that but just to give you a quick rundown it is apply the preset adjust exposure and then correct white balance so i think maybe i'll bring this up just a little so that it has that light and airy quality but not too far okay that's looking good um i don't know if lens correction will do yeah it looks like it's already baked into this turn off that toolbar okay so we have our image let's go ahead and say that there was i don't know maybe it was a little dark or she...
