What is the cause of gravity? Could it be how objects with more mass attract other objects to try to distribute their energy even out the tension, like how water fills its capacity?Gravity in Newton physics is due to the presence of mass, just like the charge is the cause of electrical field ,and then electric force,so ,the presence of mass causes a gravitational field, which has a force,it affects any other mass within its domain, its moderator is a postulated boson, encoded as graviton, not detected yet. This is a classical concept to gravity , it is a limit ,or an approximation ,to the gravity defined by the general relativity(as spacetime curvature),when the energy-momentum tensor in Einstein equation approches the mass density.
How much rocket fuel would you need to propel an object 1/10 the mass of earth out of earth's gravitational field? To propel any payload out of the Earth’s gravitational field takes a mass of fuel many times the mass of the payload. Not even a plausible fantasy.
If gravitational force is proportional to 1/r^2 and planets have mass spread out over a large area, how can gravity act from the very center, since mass at the surface will pull much more than mass further away? This is essentially the question that remained for Isaac Newton after he deduced the inverse square law of gravitation, that is, that every two masses attract each other by a mutual gravitational interaction that depends on the product of their masses and is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. It made sense to him when thinking about objects that are widely separated, like the earth and the moon (and that is the system he considered in developing his gravitational law). But he didn’t see how it made sense when talking about an object close to the surface of the earth. Why should how an apple (or any other mass m) falls close to the surface of the earth depend on how far it is from the center of the earth? He was certain it was true, because his calculations seemed to be consistent with that idea. But why?So he set out to prove that it was true. By extrapolating his idea to include that the apple is attracted to every bit of mass that makes up the earth according to his gravitational law, he somehow needed to be able to add up all the contributions of all the bits of matter to get the total gravitational attraction between the apple and the earth. His brilliance was that he did something most of us would not even consider, he developed the integral calculus in order to prove what he suspected had to be true. By making use of the symmetry of a spherical earth, his new mathematical development allowed him to show that “summing” the effects of all the incremental mass elements that make up that sphere, the result was as if all the mass of the entire earth could be considered to be at the center of the sphere. That is, he invented integral calculus to show that result to be true.
How can we say that the molecular mass is equal to the molar mass? For instance, if I am told to take out the total mass of the molecule SO2, then how can I assume that I have 1 mole of it?See the Unit of molecular mass is amu = 1.67*10 ^-24 & that of molar mass is g/mol this Is a difference b/w both of themAnd if u r saying that molecule of so2 that means the no. Molecules u have ,the no. Of moles u r having and i think if u study principle of atom conservation u will some what clarify ur query .

How has being incarcerated affected you? How has coming out of the prison system been, and how difficult has it been to re-enter into society? Do you feel that mass incarceration of African Americans is a new form of slavery? While I have never been in prison, I have a background working in addictions and with parolees.First things first - Prison as a new form of slavery. Actually, the 14th Amendment constitutionally banning slavery SPECIFICALLY excludes prisoners when it bans ‘hard labor’ and ‘involuntary servitude’. it’s not a new form of slavery - constitutionally its always been there. To this day, there are states which require inmates to work, but don’t pay them. Other states who give inmates something like 60 cents/day for 8 hours of hard work. This is totally legal and consititional. When you ask specifically about African Americans - you may find books like ‘The Rich Get Richer: The Poor Get Prison’ or ‘The New Jim Crow’ contain enlightening information. As to transitioning back into society. The US has one of the highest recidivism rates for numerous reasons. However, this varies by state. Oregon has a fairly low recidivism rate (40% re-arrest rate) - while some states it’s as high as 90%. It all depends on the transitional and re-integration programs available in the state. For an individual, the transition back into society is all dependent on the support they have when they are released.
In Mass Effect, did the Illusive Man know about the Reapers before the events of Mass Effect 1? If not, then how close was his understanding of them prior to Shepard trying to send out a warning to all after Eden Prime? Thanks for the a2a. The Illusive Man (TIM: Jack Harper) not only knew about the Reapers, but had been blasted by the Monolith during the Battle of Shanxi (prior to ME1) in the First Contact War. He and a couple of other soldiers/mercenaries had been fighting a small battle against some Turians when he was blasted, along with one of the others in his group. TIM was then captured by the Turians - none other than Saren himself, among others. During his capture, TIM realizes exactly what the Monolith is and what it does, and tries to warn Saren.TIM was indoctrinated, but it took a while. It started when he was blasted by the Monolith, but it didn’t ramp up until his experiments at Sanctuary started showing their progress. The story of that battle, and his subsequent exposure to the Monolith, is detailed in Mass Effect: Evolution, if you wanted to give that a read.Edited to add: It’s interesting to note that TIM’s and Shepard’s experience with the monolith was very similar. It gives a great deal of credence to the theory that Shepard was indoctrinated, as well.
