I can not put enough emphasis on how happy I am to have found this site.I am a New Yorker currently living in the East Bay and it blows so hard.I've encountered the largest amounts of phonies, wannabes and ass-kissers of anywhere I've ever been.-In New York majority can read you like a book and your honesty and realistic approach is seen as a strength.-In San Francisco, they are super anti-social.They give the front like they're friendly but you're taking a major risk developing any type of relationship with them as they are cut-throat & superficial.They love comparing SF to NY but there's no comparison and none of them would last if they were to migrate East.-In Oakland, tisk tisk...it's hopeless, they like to put on a show so you initially gather that something's gonna go down...have no fear, they're all talk here.What they choose to do (if necessary) instead of squabbling, scrapin & getting it over with, they yell, scream & draw attention then leave.If they come back it's with other pple(cause they needed an audience or assistance, I'm still not sure) and either nothing will STILL come to resolution or it's shots fired.Amazing all the gun play over stupidity & the incidences near me, none of them can shoot worth a damn.They also like to compare themselves to us but they lack among a large majority of things, our work ethic, honesty and genuine approach to realistic things such as LIFE.The English language must of retired here because they can neither speak proper English, read nor write & holding a conversation about anything remotely mature such as goals, ambitions etc is lost on them.They enjoy living in the moment which I'm sure is best since I see no future in their moronic delusions.I even met this loser at my campus who was a wannabe already when I met him but was imitating the other young pple in the area(unbeknownst to me at the time).Him and his family put up a good front but he was phony and was only around me to try and imitate what he could from me.He's from Northern California but after a few months of not seeing him, he now rocks everything with "NY" on it & hustles 20 sacks just because  -_-When I called him out on it, he played it out like a TRUE californian and ran his mouth behind a screen(nothing reckless tho, guess he's not THAT stupid) and then bad mouthed me to his flunkie jake friends.It has all around been a remarkable experience which started in the Northwest and has not been made clearer in California.Needless to say, I detest it here and next year will be heading back East.There are not stereotypes about this place, there are truths.I'm not accustomed to having to coddle, fluff or kiss ass just to hold conversation with pple. & what's this thing with "smile" they all look psycho mobbing down the street grinning.Phony at it's best.*Phew. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. They have. We have many, many fast food burger places all up and down the East Coast. I see you live in NYC so you know we have Shake Shack (the original before it spread around the world, yes, there’s one in London) but also why not try some of my favorite non-chain, only right here in NYC places: Harlem Shake on 124th, just behind Whole Foods, and Burger Heights in Washington Hts on Wadsworth bet. 181–182nd.All 3 of them are pretty similar in style and taste to In-N-Out. That is to say, fast food burger joints are pretty formulaic in both food and decor. I lived in CA, In-N-Out is great but it’s just a fast food hamburger. I guarantee if I put a burger in front of you from all 4 of those places and did a blind taste test you wouldn’t be able to pick out one from the other. It’s really all in the marketing and the use of social media that makes people think In-N-Out is so special.I have not included White Castle, Five Guys or Five Napkin Burger or whatever it’s called, as they are a bit different from In-n-Out and wouldn’t necessarily be compared other than that they sell burgers. White Castle is horrible in my opinion. And they all look so filthy. If you want sliders, there are great places to find those in New York too.And there are plenty of regional chains and local places up and down the rest of the East Coast that we don’t have here (it’s a big coast). I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.
