Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. No one is forcing me to buy a car to fill gas in.If I consider that of the Rs1000 of fuel put in a car, Rs700 worth is wasted as heat and of the Rs300 remaining, 90% or Rs30 worth moves the car and 10% or Rs3 worth would transport me to my destination, I would be either really stupid to buy a car or extremely rich especially when the fuel it uses is impoverishing my already poor country 60% of whose population lives on less than Rs120 (USD2) per day. The miniscule 3 in 1000 of my countrymen who own cars contribute disproportionately to my country's trade deficit which was USD10bn per month in 2013 till our hot shot IITian central banker financially engineered Dollar inflows of USD36bn and the government curbed gold imports.  The cars of these 3% clog the already poor road infrastructure and reduce productivity for workers who have to commute 3 hours a day. This brings down the competitiveness of my already uncompetitive country that has never had a trade surplus in 65 years.Well that still does not prevent 2 million of my countrymen from buying a car each year.And my countrymen are neither stupid nor very wealthy.
