Departments of education and school districts always have to make decisions about what to include in their curriculum.  There are a lot of life skills that people need that aren't taught in school.  The question is should those skills be taught in schools?I teach high school, so I'll talk about that.  The typical high school curriculum is supposed to give students a broad-based education that prepares them to be citizens in a democracy and to be able to think critically.  For a democracy to work, we need educated, discerning citizens with the ability to make good decisions based on evidence and objective thought.  In theory, people who are well informed about history, culture, science, mathematics, etc., and are capable of critical, unbiased thinking, will have the tools to participate in a democracy and make good decisions for themselves and for society at large.  In addition to that, they should be learning how to be learners, how to do effective, basic research, and collaborate with other people.  If that happens, figuring out how to do procedural tasks in real life should not provide much of a challenge.  We can't possibly teach every necessary life skill people need, but we can help students become better at knowing how to acquire the skills they need.  Should we teach them how to change a tire when they can easily consult a book or search the internet to find step by step instructions for that?  Should we teach them how to balance a check book or teach them how to think mathematically and make sense of problems so that the simple task of balancing a check book (which requires simple arithmetic and the ability to enter numbers and words in columns and rows in obvious ways) is easy for them to figure out.  If we teach them to be good at critical thinking and have some problem solving skills they will be able to apply those overarching skills to all sorts of every day tasks that shouldn't be difficult for someone with decent cognitive ability  to figure out.  It's analogous to asking why a culinary school didn't teach its students the steps and ingredients to a specific recipe.  The school taught them about more general food preparation and food science skills so that they can figure out how to make a lot of specific recipes without much trouble.  They're also able to create their own recipes.So, do we want citizens with very specific skill sets that they need to get through day to day life or do we want citizens with critical thinking, problem solving, and other overarching cognitive skills that will allow them to easily acquire ANY simple, procedural skill they may come to need at any point in their lives?

The program was also opposed by Rush Limbaugh and Grover Norquist. The stated reason was that the government would cheat taxpayers. I believe the real reason is that they want tax filing to be painful, since they believe that acts as a constraint on government programs.

It's as simple as filling any school admission form but you need to be quite careful while filling for courses ,don't mind you are from which stream in class 12 choose all the courses you feel like choosing,there is no limitations in choosing course and yes you must fill all the courses related to your stream ,additionally there is no choice for filling of college names in the application form .

I’m not sure what state we are talking about here. This has never happened to me personally, but I’ve seen it a hundred times in court and with other people I know.There are two important things when you bring up drug use in a court custody case. The first is that, the person alleging that the other parent is a drug addict has the burden of proof. That means he/she is required to provide factual evidence to the court regarding the other parent’s drug use. He or she cannot just say “I just know that he/she uses drugs”. That isn’t enough proof. If you think about it, the court has hundreds of cases where the parents are pissed off at each other and will say and do things just to make the other parent look bad, when sometimes it’s not even true. So, a judge takes the “he said, she said” statements only at face value.The second thing to remember is that once you open that can of worms, there is no shutting it. Sometimes, there have been instances where the parent that accused the other of drug use ends up being the one that gets screwed over by the court. In California, once the statement is made that someone is abusing drugs, it turns into something entirely different. If the other side can prove it, then guess what? BOTH sides will end up being randomly drug tested at each side’s expense. Basically, the accused will drug test whenever the other parent has the money and calls the doctor’s office. They must pay for the other side to drug test. And vice versa. The parent that is accusing can call and set up the appointment as many times as they want to. The parent being accused gets a call and has to be there within a certain amount of time and they do not get much notice. If you fail to show up, it’s considered a failed drug test. And this is also vice versa.At the next court hearing, the test results are provided to the judge who gets to determine what happens. If it’s something that needs further review, then more proof will be needed. Sometimes, CPS gets involved. And, that is also like the can of worms that cannot be sealed back up. Is it worth it? Sure, of course it is if your children are being neglected or abused. Most definitely.Another tool the court utilizes is an “in home” inspection. It has to be court ordered ahead of time. Again, I’m only referring to California. It could be completely different in other states. Although, it would only be fair to make both sides test. So, if you are ready to do the accusing, be ready to stand on the chopping block, too.
