How widely accepted are credit cards at small businesses and restaurants in Senegal?
It depends what you mean by small businesses. But credit cards are only accepted in Senegal in big businesses (i.e. receiving tourists, hotels, big restaurants….) and most of the time when the purchase is more than 20 USD. So the advice is to always have cash money with you or to go through ATM and get cash. But note that when taking money from ATM rates are too much expensive (for example you can be charged up to 10% of the amount withdrawed so avoid them).regards

How is life in Trinidad and Tobago?
Well let's see:Traffic is ri-goddamn-diculous. On an island this small it should not take you more than 1 hour to travel 12.4km (Diego Martin to Port of Spain) at any time of day, yet that is our reality. At the time of writing, we're now starting to feel the heat of the global economic downturn. Private sector jobs are a bit tough to find, but our government creates plenty of employment in the public service through its On the Job Training Programme (OJT). It's helping a bit.Violent crime is at a high, but it's mostly gang/drug related. Sure there are plenty of shootings and killings but there is only about one or two "random" crimes (where someone is stabbed or shot in an altercation) for every 100 gang shootings. The public health care system leaves much to be desired; there are good experiences and bad ones. I thank God that my sister had a pleasant experience delivering her daughter at one of our general hospitals, but my mother on the other hand had to wait 7 hours to get an X-ray. My mother's experience is the norm, I would say. If you want good, quality, timely health care you have to pay to get it privately.I'd say I'm very proud of our education system. If you're serious about learning, there are almost no dead ends for you; hell, the government even pays part of your tuition for you! Now there are some fields that you may have to go abroad in order to pursue, but for the most part you can become a qualified engineer, architect, accountant or tradesman right here on our soil. It's a relatively small country so everyone pretty much knows everyone else. It's easy to get a hook up or "link" to get paperwork processed faster than normal or get chosen for a job. This aspect of our culture, however, has a sharp downside in that you can end up getting some real morons in charge of very crucial processes and holding very powerful state positions. In terms of people we're generally easy going and chasers of a good time and a "lime". Generally Trinbagonians are comedians at heart. It is very rare for me to take a walk in the capital and not overhear a conversation or witness a scenario that makes for some fine comic relief later on. We're also very warm, welcoming and at the very least, tolerant (save for homosexuality and satanic worship). With so many mixes of races and religions it's hard to discriminate (although some people try very hard). In summation if I had to rank the quality of life in Trinidad and Tobago I'd give it an 8 out of 10: Plenty of room for improvement, but it's a damn sweet place to live.

How is technology changing the culture of Trinidad and Tobago?
Technology has drastically changed the way we as a people are developing. It has opened new windows of opportunity that could not have been fathomed in the past.Schools, hospitals and businesses just to name a few are becoming more and more tech savvy. The ability to grasp the concept of the computer age is being strengthened every single day.Through all of the changes that we face, our social and religious norms have managed to intertwine in perfect harmony with the rise in the use of technology.I believe we have come from far and have much to accomplish in this aspect of our country; There is also much room for improvement as always.

In my opinion it depends on the type of person you are.Trinidad and tonago is often considered the land of the lawless and for good reason because you get away with anything once we aren't caught and even then most times you always know someone or know someone who knows someone so you get off.For some it is hard or difficult because they have morals or values and believe things should be a certain way however we don't fight assertively for what we want.
