That is if your willing to invest the time, effort and cash to build an underground survival bunker.Whether its North Korea firing a missile on the US or violent riots consuming your neighborhood. Or your worried about tornados touching down on your street, ISIS, Nazis WHATEVER!But thats not all, folks! Bunkers also serve as a good place to store food caches, ammunition, and survival supplies. Its like having a walk-in closet unit for all your stockpiles and preps.As I mentioned earlier: this is no cake walk side project. Building an underground survival bunker is an intensive construction project requiring lots of forethought and planning.But as prepared survivalists, planning is what we do. So if you want a survival bunker, you have to accept this will be one of your bigger survival projects.The first step is to get a permit for the project. Vehicle/TransportMake sure you have means of getting transport for getting to safety. This vehicle should have your emergency supplies too, take as much food and water with you as possible. If it is safe to do so, fill bottles and containers with tap water to take with you.

As the United States enters the post-eradication era, it is critical that we develop thoughtful institutional strategies to meet the challenges of potential reintroduction or re-emergence of disease. The waning of surveillance and laboratory diagnostic capability, reduced medical awareness, lack of vaccine supply and production capacity, limited institutional response capacity, decreased immunity in the population at large, and increased threats of bioterrorism all leave the non-immunized populace highly vulnerable to a post-eradication outbreak.
