my name is Sam meskel I'm the youth services librarian here at the Rockingham free public library in Bellows Falls Vermont one of the things we've always said is that the library is the community's living room it's one of the few places you can go where you don't have to spend money basically we try to answer the question what does the community need and how can we provide it in all my time working here the one thing that's consistent is that our stuff is free and open to the public there's no paywall but you have to get to the library and that's been a barrier and so we saw the announcement for the Vermont after school expanding access Grant we wrote the grant to get the book bike and so the idea was to roll the library right up to their house foreign [Music] first brought to my attention was just so obviously a great idea for the community you know this was just the bike was another great way really actually one of the greatest ways of finding a Connecting Point with the community I'
