Hello my name is Joe Barr from the Academic Advising Center at Montana State University, and this is Champ. Today we're going to discuss advising, course selection, and registration. Advising and course selection for fall semester begins in October of every year, and for Spring semester and Summer session it begins in March. Currently enrolled students are allowed to register first, followed by new, returning, and transfer and students. For currently enrolled students the registration timeline will be based on the number of credits earned. Refer to the registration handbook for specific registration times. Registration handbooks can be found in the Registrar's Office in Montana Hall, in the Academic Advising Center in 130 Gaines Hall, in various departments across campus, and on the web. For new students registration takes place during new student orientation. Transfer students also have an orientation with the option of a one-on-one orientation with an advisor or a group orient
