it's a hot day in humu but the dry heat won't stop County Inspector Mary Lou white from doing her job hi Joe hi Mary Lou today she's paying a visit to Indian Hills one of the many organized camps that the County's Department of Environmental Health inspects an organized Camp is an outdoor living experience for kids so we do an encompassing inection to make sure that procedures are in place and carried out so that kids will have a safe camping experience there are nearly 30 camps that are regulated by the county with an estimated 250,000 people visiting them per year this includes not only summer camps but educational camps Retreats and various group rentals after touching base with a camp supervisor the inspection begins at the medical facility we want to make sure that a health screening is done for each camper we want to make sure that if a child is under medication it's in a secured location and it doesn't get mixed up with another kids we want to make sure that there's an isolation
