good evening council members my name is Regina Saucony and I am district governor the Lions Club International overseeing Niagara Erie Cattaraugus in Chautauqua counties currently we have 45 Lions Clubs and almost 1,300 Lions serving western New York and I'm excited to announce our plans to open a new Lions Club in the city of Niagara Falls our clubs are places where individuals come together to give their valuable time and efforts to improving themselves helping their neighbors and caring for their environment my objective for these new Lions is to serve with the goal of making a greater impact for future generations of Nagre files citizens locally our lines provide services which include youth vision screening resources for eye exams and eyeglasses for those who cannot afford them diabetes awareness seminars and participate in environmental projects to help protect and keep our neighborhoods clean our Lions help with hunger relief where they are needed by sponsoring food drives volun
