First, for all US colleges, the magic phrase is “You are an US citizen”. Therefore, you will follow the application guidelines for an US citizen. However, as others have noted, if English is not your customary language, you should take the TOEFL exam along with either the SAT or the ACT in order to meet the many requirements for US colleges.Unfortunately, you will not be “in-state” for any of the state’s Public universities, unless your parents currently reside in that state.Where you may have some difficulties is applying for financial aid, if you need some. You will be able to apply as an US citizen, but you may get caught in a “Catch-22” if you or your parents have not been filing US income tax forms each year. If your parents are not US citizens than that will complicate the application for financial aid as well. Most likely you will fill out the PROFILE forms and then you will check to see if you are eligible (with your parents) to fill out the FAFSA forms to apply for student aid from the US government (PROFILE is used for student aid from a Private university).The other problem you may encounter is having your guidance counselor submit your official transcript (in English) to the colleges along with a cover letter of recommendation. If your school is not used to students applying to US universities, then you will need to start Early to get them on the same “application wavelength” as you will have to be for the US universities.Start early. Fortunately, it is possible to get the official transcripts at your home address by applying online without having to visit the college. You just have to fill one form, pay the online fee, and send the copies of necessary documents. Process:1. Download the transcript form from https://www.rgpv.ac.in/exam/Down... with the link ‘Transcript Format’2. The transcript form has typically 5 pages.a.First page as Introduction Pageb.Next four pages where you can fill details about 8 semesters with 2 semester details goes on each page3. Filling the transcript format is easy. Just have all your marktsheet’ copies in front of you and put all details into it. It is like writing most of your semester mark sheet details like subject name, marks, total marks and general details.4.Once you have filled it, cross check that all details are correct so to avoid multiple revisions from verifying officer.5.Take the print out of the filled copy and your original mark sheet to university office in Bhopal on 2nd floor. You can ask at the inquiry at the entrance of the administrative block about exact office number on the second floor.6. You have to hand over the transcript filled copy and original mark sheets to the officer at 2nd floor. Their duty is to verify that what you have filled is entirely correct or not.7. It takes time for them as well, because they have to verify it at very minute detail. They could ask for an hour based on the other forms they could have to verify.8. If they find some mistake they improve it by pencil & it return to the student.9. Now, you have to rectify mistakes in your form and correct it and then you are good to take the right copy. And you can take 9 xerox copies – to make 10 sets in total.10. Meanwhile, the verification process takes place, you can go to the Union Bank branch at RGPV to get bank challan of Rs. 500 for upto 10 copies.11. Submit your challan and the transcript copies12. Get the after 2 working daysTrust me:“Filling the form yourself is NOT painful.”Few things to note:1. It is not mandatory to have ‘colored’ copy. I have checked the requirements for most of the top universities. So black and white copies can work and you can just Xerox next 45 pages once your first set is verified. Xerox of 45 pages would cost your Rs. 45 as compared to Rs. 450 for printing out colored 45 pages.2. Envelopes are hardly worth Rs. 2 per piece if you buy that from any outside stationery shop. So, it will cost your Rs. 20.3. Filling the form should not take more than 1 hour for any slow typing person. Even, when a fast person fills it – he will also take 15 minutes to do so.4. Keep your filled copy’s soft copy in the pen drive. Because, when you have got the verification of the filled copy – there could be corrections that you might to do. So if you have soft copy with you – you can go to any shop (or even in your own laptop) – you can do the corrections and get the print out from any shop (even this internet café, I hope he would not deny to take the printouts)5. The verification officer is not that lazy how I have read so far. They have also other administrative works to do in parallel. Even I have seen that they do it with such a details line by line and word by word and I am sure it could take upto 20 minutes for them to review each application.

Fill in the form http://www.ignou.ac.in/userfiles...Take the printouts of both degree and mark sheets (both sides)If you want to collect the transcript yourself or you want to get it shipped to your address in India then make a DD for (300 for mark sheet [single mark sheet which has marks for all the years or semesters] & 300 for degree) = INR600In case you have mark sheets for each year or semester then the number of mark sheets x 300 + 300 for the degree. You would require to make one DD for the total cost.In case, you would want IGNOU to send the transcript out of India, then the cost for each mark sheet or degree will be INR500 instead of INR300.Write your roll number, name & mobile number on the back of the DD.You don’t need to carry or provide a separate envelope for the transcript to be shipped back. They will enclose the transcript in the IGNOU envelope, seal it and send it back to you.The documents need to be submitted at Block 9, Room 2.They will take 20 to 25 days to send back the transcript.

I studied through Gujarat Arts & Commerce College and some 15 days back i.e. 9th March,2018, I received my transcript verified with the respective marksheet and Degree in a sealed cover, which i submitted on 15th Feb, 2018 totaly exactly 23 days. I have also been able to attach the snaps of these receipts for better understanding.It's not tough, but the total process is very time consuming so patience is the ONLY key.Start..Directly go to the Degree section at the 1st floor at the Admin Block of Gujarat University Campus. Find out Mr. Bhuva ask for transcript for your degree / masters. It will just take 1 day for the typing in the format and he will mail it on your mail id (he will charge a typing fee of 200 INR).Now, kindly verify the transcript with the your marksheets. (Please expect some typo errors)Go to your college, find out the transcript issuing section and get the form in 3 copies and fill it up by attaching 3 copies of your marksheet, transcript and degree. Pay a fees of Rs. 300 and get the 2nd year copy of your marksheet along with the transcript duly signed and sealed from the Principal of the College.Go back to Mr. Bhuva, with the signed and sealed copies of the marksheet and transcipt. He will ask you to pay up Rs. 200 at the Cash Counter, Ground Floor of the same building of the University for the Verification of the 2nd year marksheet, the challan has to be kept very safe as its needed in near future to get this copy back in a sealed cover.Proceed to 2nd floor of the same admin block, just above the degree section. There is only one window and its only for transcript.Find out and read the information notice carefully. There are 3 different type of forms available in this section. You will need 3 sets of all certificates for attachments.Transcript Verification FormMarksheet Verification FormDegree Verification FormFill out all of three forms and dont forget to mention the WES reference number in every form. Typically the questions are a serious repetition, so dont just worry, your first thought is always right.Show the forms and attachment to the counter staff for verifying, later they will sign on the top corner of every form asking your to proceed to the Cash Counter in the Ground Floor. The Verification Charges are Rs. 50 for each marksheet, Rs. 500 for degree, Rs. 200 for Transcript and finally Rs. 500 for Sealed Cover. (Incase, if your a emergency and a Immigration Office/Officer has sent you a mail, then Rs. 500 for tatkal services) The last charge is applicable for urgency and needs an official letter to proove it.Show the cash receipts to the verifying staff at the 2nd floor counter. She will retain everything except the copy of Original Cash Receipt. She will ask you to come after 30 working days for the sealed cover. (YES! 30 working days. Insane!)15 days later, by showing the original challan just try checking if its ready. May be if you are lucky enuf, they might say “YES”.Go to the 2nd floor and get your 2nd year verified marksheet copy. They will ask you to go to counter no.2 for entry number registry. The counter staff on the same 1st floor does it in a minute. Share it to the staff sitting next to Mr. Bhuva in degree section for re-entry in computer system. He finally hands over your Form that you filled in your college for the sign of Principal (Refer Point No.3).Take the form along to the 2nd floor Transcript Counter Staff with all the original cash receipt.They will ask you to wait for 10 minutes and once they are done, they will call you to ascertin and check the attachments before sealing the cover. The cover gets sealed then and there addressing WES, Toronto / the transcript requesting agency.Happy Moments! Sealed cover seems like an achievement in itself. You are now suppose to send this cover by your own to Totonto Canada. The best referred courier company is DHL, that delivers in 3 days charging Rs. 1800, Wherein, Indian Speed Post Charges Rs. 1392/- and does not delivers in even 10 days.The End…!

Filled application form should bear a seal & sign of your college principal.If you studied at BU directly then you don't need to get seal and sign.Once that is done only then visit Bangalore university to submit the application else you will be running around between college and University.Get a DD of 605 ( cost of one set transcripts 550 + application fee 55 rupees ) if you need more than one set of copies add 550 more and so on.DD should be addressed to FINANCE OFFICER, BANGALORE UNIVERSITY, BENGALURU. If you couldn’t get a DD prior to signNowing university while submitting the application there’s is a State bank of India branch in the head office building you can easily get one from there. having a SBI atm card helps.So let’s say you have all of this in order and figured it out, how and where do you submit the application ?signNow Bangalore university campus - PARIKSHA BHAVAN On the ground floor to your right is the Enquiry office (they are the most laziest and rude Bunch of people you will be dealing with so please don’t lose your temper. They only start working after 10:30 am and when I say work all they will do is take your application and give you an acknowledgment slip that you need to keep safe until you get your transcripts.)Do not try to bribe anyone here or believe anyone who says they will get your transcripts in a few days it doesn’t work and you will lose your money and you still have to wait.Remember the Head Office I mentioned above where you can get your DD, in the same building room number 207 accepts DD (this is the only place you need to give your DD, they will take your application and enter details in the computer and then print out a challan slip and return your application packet take both of these. (please do not lose challan, take a photo, snapshot whatever and keep it safe until you receive your signed and sealed transcripts)Take the challan slip, go the Enquiry office, submit your application and the person at this desk will give you a receipt and say come back after 15 days go to the first floor to collect your transcripts.Here’s what not cool or good about the entire process:Most universities would actually put an effort to give you a digital version of the transcripts in a sealed envelope in a timely fashion - “WHAT MOST PEOPLE DONT REALISE IS FOR BANGALOE UNIVERSITY YOUR MARKS CARD IS THE TRANSCRIPT”The set of photo copies you conveniently made and submitted will be checked by someone in BU and they will put a sign and seal, give those exact same xerox/photocopies back to you when you go to collect along with an envelope that has a seal midway.What you are required to at this point is, check all the Marks cards are there, they will be because you gave them, see if there is a seal and sign on each of the copy, then slide them into the envelope and then seal the mouth across with a tape by yourself.If you ask them, Hey this is not what I expected, they will say this how we give transcripts and have been for a long time now deal with it !!What I am mostly frustrated about is ,A. We filled the forms, Got them signed, Got a DD, submitted it. all BU is Doing is Put a seal and sign and they are taking 15 days for this and charging money.take 50 bucks for the seal, but 500 for a copy of transcripts and they are not even giving you a version of their own is ludacris!!Ps: Bangalore university said they will start accepting the transcript fees online but there no are signs of that yet.There are allot of transcript provider services charging from 5k to 13k for a copy of transcript all because the students don’t want to get their hands dirty or just simply spend an hour of their time. So please think twice before buying there service.( I am in no way against their service and cannot judge them)!Hope this gives the complete picture of the process to get the transcripts, I recently (April 2018) had to get two copies and that’s how I familiarized my self with the process.Edit: 1 .
