I don’t know why someone else hasn’t pointed this out…..you will not be removing anyone’s name from a passport that is not your own.If your WIFE needs or wants to make amendments to her own passport, she can do so. But the name on the US passport is issued in accordance to the identification that is presented with the application. You cannot pick and choose the names that appear.You will not be allowed to do this to her passport. It is the property of the US government and issued to your wife. Only she can make these changes.
