I want to create a web app that enables users to sign up/in, fill out a form, and then fax it to a fax machine. How to difficult is this to develop? Are you sending yourself the fax or are they able to send the fax anywhere? The latter has already been done numerous times. There are email to fax and fax to email applications that have been available for decades. I'm pretty certain that converting email to fax into app or form submission to fax is pretty trivial. They convert faxes to PDF's in many of these apps IIRC so anywhere you could view a PDF you could get a fax.
How can I increase the traffic on my website? So you launched a new website - congrats! Maybe you even installed google analytics. You check back to see all this new traffic and all you get is:Well that’s a bummer. Fear not friend, here’s a few thoughts on what to do after launching a new site that I previously shared on the CU Times - while this was written for credit union marketers, these points are universal.Develop an acquisition strategyFocus on intent and qualified traffic by leveraging search and social media advertising to drive bottom of the funnel traffic while data-driven display advertising powers the top. All advertising is not created equal so you’ll need to build a media mix to bring in a blend of visitors at various stages to make your site effective at achieving conversion goals.(bonus - read my answer to: How can I boost conversions of visitors on my website?)Use content marketing for SEOAbout 1 in 3 people searching will actually click on an ad. So with an acquisition strategy in place, we’ve got 1/3 of our opportunity taken care of. What about the rest of it?That’s where SEO comes in. I’m talking about the white hat, Olivia Pope, good guy kind of SEO. None of this keyword cramming, weird linking, promises of page one results overnight junk. The kind that matters to search engines and your visitors comes in the form of creating value, answering questions and being an expert resource. That only comes from turning into a content publisher.Get socialFind out where your target audiences are hanging out socially. Engage in conversations there. Don’t just link drop - come on now - you’re better then that. Create value, share thoughts, add ideas and develop your brand.Build loyaltyGive people a reason to engage with you and get updates from you. Someone found you - awesome! Now incent them with free content upgrades, cookies (seriously, actually saw a small bakery do this.) whatever it takes just get them to engage so you can communicate with them again in the future.Good luck!
What is the most enjoyable and amazing "sign up" form you have ever filled in websites?Weird metric - 'enjoyable'. For me, signup forms are always a source of frustration - they stand between me and something I want to actually do. So 'least frustrating' would be a better term. Again, personally, I like social signup buttons - you don't have to enter anything using keyboard, just a couple of clicks. They also work quite well on mobile. But there are a few drawbacks. For me to use this kind of sign-up I'd have to have at least a certain amount of trust in the service. Also, twitter would not give the user's email address via API, so if you need that, Twitter is not a good signup provider. Users also seem to like this kind of signup. In a graph below, you can see, that, if given choice, two out of three users will use a social signup.
Why did Google choose to have their new Inbox app beta sign-ups occur by emailing a Gmail account and not by filling out a Google form?I believe it's to filter out people who aren't dedicated to demoing really early stage technology. Your average person isn't going to send an email to google asking for this modification, whereas they are more likely to take the effort and tick a checkbox.

Do I have to use my real name on Quora? What is Quora's ‘real names’ policy? On Quora, you are required to use your real, full name for your account. To do so, you can change your name from your profile. If you are ever uncomfortable about associating your identity with a particular question or answer, you can write the answer or ask the question anonymously. If Quora Moderation believes that a user is not using their real name, the user may be asked to provide supporting evidence.More specifically, the following rules apply to Quora profile names:Company or organizational accounts: you may create an account on Quora to represent a legally incorporated business or other organization. You are not required to do so, if you prefer to answer using a personal account. Not all organization accounts will be verified, though we may ask company accounts to provide verification.Names in non-Latin alphabet languages: Quora is currently only available in certain languages. In English, characters and letters that are not part of the Latin alphabet are allowed in user names in parentheses, if a Latin alphabet-name precedes the parenthetical. Example: Mikhail Gorbachev (Михаи́л Серге́евич Горбачёв), Hu Jintao (胡锦涛).Titles, such as "Dr." and "Ms.", may not be used in a Quora name; instead, information about degrees (e.g., "M.D.", or "PhD.") may be included in the user headline that appears to the right of your name, or elsewhere in your profile.Role accounts: Since each account should be connected with a real name, multiple accounts representing the same person (e.g., a professional identity under one name and a personal identity under a different one) are not permitted.Capitalization: Names should be appropriately capitalized. JOHN SMITH should be capitalized as John Smith.Footnotes Quora's answer to How do I write an anonymous answer on Quora? Quora's answer to How do I ask an anonymous question?
