Departments of education and school districts always have to make decisions about what to include in their curriculum.  There are a lot of life skills that people need that aren't taught in school.  The question is should those skills be taught in schools?I teach high school, so I'll talk about that.  The typical high school curriculum is supposed to give students a broad-based education that prepares them to be citizens in a democracy and to be able to think critically.  For a democracy to work, we need educated, discerning citizens with the ability to make good decisions based on evidence and objective thought.  In theory, people who are well informed about history, culture, science, mathematics, etc., and are capable of critical, unbiased thinking, will have the tools to participate in a democracy and make good decisions for themselves and for society at large.  In addition to that, they should be learning how to be learners, how to do effective, basic research, and collaborate with other people.  If that happens, figuring out how to do procedural tasks in real life should not provide much of a challenge.  We can't possibly teach every necessary life skill people need, but we can help students become better at knowing how to acquire the skills they need.  Should we teach them how to change a tire when they can easily consult a book or search the internet to find step by step instructions for that?  Should we teach them how to balance a check book or teach them how to think mathematically and make sense of problems so that the simple task of balancing a check book (which requires simple arithmetic and the ability to enter numbers and words in columns and rows in obvious ways) is easy for them to figure out.  If we teach them to be good at critical thinking and have some problem solving skills they will be able to apply those overarching skills to all sorts of every day tasks that shouldn't be difficult for someone with decent cognitive ability  to figure out.  It's analogous to asking why a culinary school didn't teach its students the steps and ingredients to a specific recipe.  The school taught them about more general food preparation and food science skills so that they can figure out how to make a lot of specific recipes without much trouble.  They're also able to create their own recipes.So, do we want citizens with very specific skill sets that they need to get through day to day life or do we want citizens with critical thinking, problem solving, and other overarching cognitive skills that will allow them to easily acquire ANY simple, procedural skill they may come to need at any point in their lives?

Get an introduction to the target company through a referral if possible.  A lot of the companies that retain us even talk explicitly about "no agency referrals" on their website.  There are times that going in through HR or their staffing org can be to your benefit but more often that not it helps to have a referral with a "VP" in their title to get you that introduction.  You might still be a long way from getting a fee agreement signed (retained or contingent) but you'll be a lot close than being one of the hundreds of agency recruiters leaving voicemails for the VP HR or Staffing Manager.

Learning technologies depends on the line of employment that you choose to take up throughout your life, without changing stream as long as 10 years. Once you have clarity about your likes and dislikes then you can learn and get certified by learning the technologies and get certified, getting certified allows you to show your skill level and helps you push your resume/CV ahead of others applying for similar role. One thing that you need to understand is that by showing just your marks and studies that you have undertaken do not help the employers to pick you, you need to show them your zeal to learn new technologies.There are many certification course based upon the stream of work that you opt like analytics, developer, Administrator, etc. So, firstly you need to take up the SWOT Analysis and decide what drives you to push the extra hour so that you do not run away from the work at hand. You are the one who can solely decide your path.Once after you have decided what line of work that will drive you and your carrier then depending on that you need to learn technologies that will aid you to grow in this competitive world. If your apptitude is good and you like solving puzzles and riddles i would suggest you take up analytics stream, also if you choose this field then learn and get certified in SAS technology which is being looked up by many companies around the world. Anything in IT but into the front seat of the business all gets you good bugs in any sector that is Sales, it is not for faint hearts but the bonus, incentives and perks you get in sales is compare to any other field is better.If you want to just get salary , settle down life with family work 9 - 5 coz you have to go for technical programming coding in java, .net. html, php, ios, Android or anything on the software end SAP, oracle, JDEdwards, PeopleSoft, Salesforce & etc.But if you are looking to get an edge and value based career go into sales of any stream you will lead.

The gravitation towards comfort poverty is fertile hunting ground for commercially minded religious pastors who rob poor people blind over and over again. The scam formula is easy: sell cheap accesible hope, give as little information as possible, bottle it or package it so that it's believable….then find one million poor people. They will stampede to buy magical wealth portions from you compared to free advice from a billionaire.
