Do you have paycheck stubs showing how they calculated your withholding? ( BTW you are entitled to those under the law, and if you are not receiving them, I would demand them….)If your employer is just giving you random checks with no calculation of your wages and withholdings, you have a rogue employer. They probably aren’t payin in what they purport to withhold from you.

How do I deal with this?I got a new job and I found out that I am replacing someone who got terminated. Worse of all, he was supposed to give me training.He has not approached me, how do I ask him to train me because this is my manager’s instruction?
This doesn't sound right to me. Fired? Really terminated? Isn't all that handled thru HR?I know they call the person into HR, an HR rep then informs him/her that they've been terminated. Everything is ready and waiting for the person. If there are personal tools, tool box or any other personal items left in desk or in the shop floor the supervisor escorts the terminated employee to the workstation, the stuff is collected the terminated employee is escorted to his /her vehicle. The employee is done.There can't be any risk of the employee flipping out and damaging anything, especially if they have access to any data systems.And then there's the risk of other employees taunting the terminated person.When a person is fired, which includes being laid off, all training issues are set aside. Even if the circumstances are pleasant.Why would anyone be ecstatic about training the new person to take over their general responsibilities - after having been laid off? Too much hard feeling.This doesn't seem right. And your manager is shirking responsibilities.EDIT: The supervisor may escort the employee to the parking lot but should have a second employee or security guard along for obvious reasons.
