Do you have to fill out form 1099 (for tax reporting) if you send over $600 in bitcoin to company for a product?
Among the numerous tax forms, the IRS will be expecting you to fill out a 1099-MISC form in two cases:you made payments to freelancers or independent contractors for business-related services totaling at least $600 within the year;or you paid minimum $10 in royalties or broker payments in lieu of dividends or tax-exempt interest. However, if you made any payments for personal or household services, there is no need to submit a 1099-MISC form. This site has a lot of information about it - http://bit.ly/2Nkf48f

Will my admission be canceled in JMI (I mistakenly filled my 10th marks with is out of 600 (ABC/600) in place of 12th marks in Jamia entrance form)?
The best way is to contact the authorities…ASAP…..INFORM THEM OF WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AND WHAT HAS BEEN DONE….THEN THE DIFFERENCE…IF THE DIFFERENCE CAUSES YOU TO BE INELIGIBLE AS PER THE RELEASED CUTOFFS….then the authorities will take corrective action. But it's ur duty to inform….that error may seem to be fraudulent if looked at from the universitys perspective

In my CAT application form for the class 12th maximum marks I filled my marks out of 500 instead of out of 600 by mistake. There is not much difference in my percentage. Will it be a major issue? What should I do?
UNFORTUNATELY, I did the same mistake in filling the form. I didn’t added the marks of my adittional subject which I didn’t knew was neccesary to add.IT was late until I knew about this. than I dropped a mail to iim , which they obviously ignored. you can't do anything in this now. just give your best in exam . it will be a problem in interview stage as they will check your academic detail. if you got lucky they might ignore or else you can just explain to them . it is nothing to worry about as that is not making any difference . just be calm.BEST OF LUCK

Do you find it strange that my father has forced my sister and me to fill out forms and cheques since we were in at least elementary school?
To me, no, I don't find it strange. Maybe his level of urgency and persistence about it is strange but the actual skill seems normal to me. I was 15, when I was taken to the bank to open my first checking/savings acct. My mom and grandparents showed how to write checks, how to read a check, sign a check, fill out deposit forms etc. It IS an integral and impt life skill and I see your Father's reasoning for it. Elementary age seems young bc a kid that young isnt going to have a real reason to personally use checks, BUT getting a head start on learning those basics is invaluable.I never considered doing that with kids and I find it to be a great idea. But HE should be teaching it to your sibling like he taught it to you - that is only fair. Sure most of your classmates won't have a clue about banking, but you will be ahead of them. It's a very impt thing to know how to do, so the younger the better I say - kids are sponges!

Technology: What are the best loopholes you have come across?
I came across a loophole in the library where I studied by pure accident. I used to go there to study and to also print out the lecture notes which were on average 40 pages long and the print was .10$ for each page. So basically i paid 4$ for each lecture i printed. This was a costly exercise for me and i spent on average 30$ each week for printing. The way it worked was, I had a library card and I recharged it as needed using the recharge machine. The recharge machine was about 5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. You had to insert the card, it would read it and then prompt you to insert the cash you wanted to recharge. Once that was done, you went to the print station, swiped your card on the card reader and then selected your file to print. Pretty basic stuff. One day I gave a few print jobs to the printer and went to the print station and swiped my card. I had to print 2 files of around 30 pages each. I had a credit of 3.70$ on my card. So I decided to print one file and then proceeded to the signNowarge machine to recharge the card while my file was printing. Keep in mind that the recharge machine and the print station were next to each other. Since my file was printing, I inserted my card into the recharge machine, it read my card and gave an error saying that the card is locked. I realized immediately that my card is currently being used by the printer and thus I am unable to use the card at 2 places at once. So I waited for the print to complete and then recharged my card to a value of 5$. So keep in mind I had 3.70$ initially, I printed 30 Pages, My credit should have dropped to .70$ and then recharged 5$ bringing the total to 5.70$. I did all the maths myself before proceeding to the print station and swiping my card. As I swiped my card, it showed me the current balance as 8.70$ instead of 5.70$ meaning I was not charged for the 30 pages i just printed. I quickly noticed and realized the error i got on the recharge machine while printing. I had another job to print, I gave the command to print and again inserted my card into the recharge machine and got the same error as card is currently blocked. I checked and was not charged again. And thats how I have been printing for a while now and my current balance is still 8.70$.I will notify the library eventually of the error and donate a certain amount. But for now, I am a student and its hard to make ends meet.

You choose the projects you want to work on and have complete control over the way you do it. There are several ways of becoming an independent contractor or a freelancer. You can be one of the following:A travel writerA driver for a cab companyAn interior designer, among a plethora of other options. However, if you think you qualify as a freelancer, it would be best to invest in a smart tax software hosting solution such as Lacerte cloud to manage your tax-related tasks professionally and in the least possible time. If you are an American, how far back do you have to go in your family tree before you get to someone whose first language was not English?
Back in 1991, before Ancestry dot com was a thing, I got interested in genealogy… my family’s, in particular. So, I set out on a mission to find out all I could, and put together a family tree. Less than two years after the World Wide Web was created (aka: WWW). So, I wasn’t really on the internet yet. I had to do it old skool; although I did use a computer to draw the actual “tree”, as there were no genealogical tree templates that I knew of, yet. I sent out a form letter to every single person I knew, who was even remotely related to me. I even had to take a quick crash course in Russian Cyrillic, so that I could communicate with my relatives behind the Iron Curtain (which was half of them, in various countries). The curtain fell the following year, which made communication much easier, but at the time, I wasn’t even sure if any of my correspondence would get there and back. Amazingly, it all did. I sent out these form letters with pre-drawn, empty “trees”, for everyone to fill out. I also included a self-addressed stamped envelope, to make things as easy as possible for everyone.By the autumn of that year, I had received nearly all my templates back, all filled out as best as everyone could manage. Then began the task of making sense out of all of them, and compiling them into one massive tree. I ended up with nearly 600 people to list. For every person, I listed 6 bits of information: Name, place & year of birth, place & year of death, and their occupation. It took me about 6 months, but by Christmas, I had a surprisingly full family tree. I printed these all out on 17″ x 24″ sheets of parchment, rolled them up into scrolls, and handed them out to everybody as Christmas gifts. It was a big hit, as no one had ever seen the big picture yet. This is my Pociask Family Tree:This was in 1991, so I suggested everyone add to their branches by hand, as the years go by. By now, there are probably another 100 or more kids and grand-kids born. But that’s me, in the lower-right corner, above the block of text. I drew a chain of heavy links around the whole thing to signify that we were all linked together. The furthest back I got for my lineage was 1796, in Prussia. My great-great-great grandfather, with the last name of Busz, was born there. This part of Prussia had previously been part of the Polish Kingdom, and afterwards, once again became part of Poland after WWII. They eventually moved to the Kingdom of Bohemia, which became Czechoslovakia. My four grandparent's lineages basically hailed from 4 places: Prussia/Bohemia, Ukraine, and two from southern Poland, in the mountains. So… I am pretty much Prussian/Bohemian/Ukrainian/Polish. The late 1700’s was as far as I could get back for my family. My daughter, on the other hand, through her mom, I could trace back through Stephen Austin, one of the founders of Texas, and then all the way back to Mary Queen of Scots. As far as my family… they were refugees after WWII. They lost everything there, and both my father, and my mother came to America as Displaced Persons, although they came separately. My father alone, and my mother with her parents and 9 siblings. This is my grandfather’s “Reiseausweis” or Travel ID Card for the voyage from post-WWII Germany, to NYC in September of 1952:And here is the ship they came over on, the USS A.W. Greely, that was named after a US General, Polar explorer, and Medal of Honor winner:This ship was in service from 1944, all the way to 1986. It had a pretty good run, and was an important ship, as it brought my family to America! They all came here under the sponsorship of a farmer near Buffalo, NY who would house and feed them in return for a couple years of what was basically indentured servitude on his farm, picking lettuce, strawberries and all of that kind of stuff that many migrant workers from Mexico and Central America do today. So… how far back do I have to go in my family tree before I get to someone whose first language was not English?Well… that would be me!I didn’t really learn English until I went to kindergarten in Buffalo, NY. We were a bi-lingual family. Actually, tri-lingual, unbeknownst to me. You see, my grandmother only spoke Czech, while everyone else spoke Polish. Somehow, I spoke in Czech to my grandmother and Polish to everyone else, without even knowing it! Yeah, I didn’t realize that until I was in my teens. That was kind of a weird revelation. So… yeah, there’s that.

How did Robert Frost get recruited for NASA?
NASA doesn't need to recruit. They get most of their new hires via their co-op program (NASA Pathways). Students apply for co-op placement via the co-op office at their university. Co-ops receive semester long positions at a NASA center, either in the summer or during the fall or spring semesters. They usually do two or three of these rotations, and then, if they performed well, they receive a full time placement after graduation.I didn't even know there was such a program, while I was in university, so that's not how I got to NASA.During my final semester, one of my design team members disappeared for a few days. When he returned, he told me he'd been at NASA applying for a contractor position as an astronaut instructor for the ISS program. I wasn't aware such a thing existed, but it sounded like the ideal job for me. So, I visited the website of the new contractor that had been formed to provide operations for the STS and ISS programs, a company called United Space Alliance (USA). I submitted an application. They called me at my office in the Humanities Tutoring Center, the next morning and asked me to fly out for an interview and said they'd arrange a flight, hotel, and rental car.A week later, I was sitting in a huge room with 600 other applicants. There was a line of small booths set up and in each was a manager for a group. From the list of 600 names, they'd call out the ones they were interested in talking to. You'd go to that booth and be interviewed and then return to your seat and wait to see if another group called out your name or if an HR person would call your name to make an offer. I interviewed for the robotics group and for the avionics group and then accepted the offer from the avionics group.Eight years later, I was able to take advantage of the other way NASA hires. Operations for Shuttle was almost exclusively done by USA and they provided most of the people for ISS, too. Each group might have 10 USA employees, 2 NASA employees, and a NASA group lead. Those two NASA positions were usually filled via the co-op program, but once in a while, NASA would get permission from the government to open a position for an experienced person. Experienced contractors would apply, and if one was selected that person would undergo a badge conversion. I was fortunate enough to be one of those people. I swapped my USA badge for a NASA badge, but little else changed. I kept the same desk, the same phone number, and the same tasks, I just filled out a different timecard system and no longer had a contractor boss.
