If a student objects to participating, they can "opt out" with parental consent. There is even a form to fill out. I don't remember if there is a requirement to state the reason, though. I recently had this conversation with a student who was upset that she is being required to recite the pledge in her first class each morning. She wants to opt out, so I looked into it for her.In many states in which the pledge is required to be done by the school, students only have to stand respectfully. If students wish to remain seated there are protocols to follow.Your grades cannot be lowered for failure to comply. You cannot be punished in class or treated differently for non participation.  I don't know if you are in a required compliance state, but there are definitely protections in place for you. And youth is probably the absolute best time to start since a lot of life-long habits are forming at this stage.There are several *types* of workouts, beyond “cardio” and “bulking” and “cutting.” You should consider workouts that primarily focus on functional movements, versus exercises that isolate single areas of your musculature (which is, incidentally, most but not all of the “machines”)Every one of these functional exercises has an “opposite” that you can pair them up with (called supersets) in order to get good coverage. They all focus on how your body is supposed to move. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. As far as my understanding for this matter goes, if you are going to public school in the US, depend on school district you are in, there are typically Opt-Out form you could fill and sign at the beginning of year. If you do not sign those form before specified date of beginning of school year (typically by the end of first or second week of school year), you will be automatically included, and can not opt out until next school year.However, parents must think very carefully before filling such form. Because those type of form are not exactly structured for flexibility, and they are often blanket form to exclude their children from lot of things.Because, if you filled out such form, it typically means following.You will be excluded from Team pictures, activity pictures, yearbook, and any other publicity material.You will be typically excluded from showing students work etc.You will be excluded from special interest article etc.You will be definitely excluded from school video or activity recording them, and depend on how thing goes, ask not to participate if not recording them are not option i.e team sports etc.You will be excluded from any of images that is showing your classmates.And, high chance you will be excluded from activity that happened outside of school ground.In private school, your parents typically filled number of form when they joined, and that is often including yearbook and other school publications. So, that will be different issue entirely.You might hate it during high school year, but you tend to look it back fondly 20–30 years from now, so it will definitely worth to be on yearbook.
