Yes!I was 15, and I woke up with the worst headache of my entire life.My mom, thinking it was just a normal migraine, gave me some Excedrin Migraine, and sent me off to school. School started around 8:30 am or so, and sitting in class I just couldn’t focus. I felt very nauseous and dizzy, on top of the headache, and my head became so heavy I couldn’t lift it up. I remember my teacher yelling at me that her class was not the place to sleep and I had better pay attention!My symptoms continued to get worse and I stumbled out of the classroom, ignore my teacher yelling at me to come back, and went as quickly as I could to the restroom, where I threw up. I passed out and woke up on the floor a couple of minutes later, where a classmate was looking over me, concerned, and she ran and got a teacher.At this point it was getting hard to walk and I remember feeling really hot and sweaty. Two teachers had to basically drag me to the office where I laid on a couch with a warm rag on my head, throwing up into a bucket while they called my mom to come get me.By the time my mom got there I couldn’t walk, and my headache was so bad I was screaming. Still thinking this was a normal migraine, she decided to take me to an urgent care for treatment, instead of taking me home to sleep it off. That decision saved my life.We got to the urgent care and the doctor just had a gut feeling something was wrong. I was alert and talking and making sense, but he just knew something was off. So I was rushed to get a head CT.As soon as I was in the CT machine he was on the phone calling a helicopter to transport me to the children’s hospital. There was a fairly large amount of blood leaking into my brain. They gave me in the helicopter to ease my discomfort, and honestly all I remember about that flight was, “Man, it’s cold in here.” When we arrived at the children’s hospital I had several MRIs, another CT, and all sorts of blood work was done. Nothing was conclusive. Was it a tumor? Did I somehow bump my head hard enough to cause it to bleed? They decided to do an exploratory artiogram to find out.An artiogram, for those of you who don’t know, is when they insert a large catheter up through the vessles in your groin area. They thread it all the way up from your leg to your brain. I’ve had 3 of them done since this.Once they got to my brain they discovered what is called an arteriovenous malformation, or AVM for short, in my cerebellum. An AVM is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins. In my case, it was something that I just happened to be born with, and had caused the blood from my veins to leak into my brain. Nestled inside of the AVM was an unruptured aneurysm. They shot glue into it to fix stop it from bleeding and to make sure the aneurysm would never burst!It has been almost six years since then, and I have very little side effects. I spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital, a majority of that time in the pediatric ICU. I can still walk and talk and do almost everything normally, although I do have some left sided weakness, I still get debilitating migraines, and I have some issues with memory sometimes. I was so lucky! Brain AVMs occur in less than 1% of the population, and I only had a 41% chance of surviving its rupture. And yet here I am, relatively healthy, and capable of living a normal life!

So, like I said nothing can be predicted.Now,students who have shortlisted for further process had to fill HPCL Application Form.It was divided into 2 step. Least I can say, it’s 50% luck, you never know what they are looking for in candidates. Some performed very well still couldn't clear it.We were given 10 min to read case study and then after 20 min to discuss. In this situation which 5 things you should pick from plane before it blast to survive”Now, HPCL is well known for asking mainly HR questions and question from internship and final year project in interview. From everone’s interview experience here, I can tell that one should focus more on HR questions than the technical question. No subjects need to be studied thoroughly. You should know basic about all the the subjects that's it.you never know what you will be asked. You can read interview experience of others and from that you can get the idea about interview. Selection will be based on so many parameters, toppers have a edge here! Finally 3 out of 8 was selected for medical check up.( 2 from mechanical and 1 from civil). In computer, 4 was finally selected out of 24.Medical check up was held on next day of interview process, as I didn't get selected I don't have idea about medical tests. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. In the 21st century, when the power of the internet can provide instant secure connectivity to transfer enormous quantities of data, U.S. hospitals pour millions and millions of dollars into EMRs that aren't compatible with each other, necessitating reliance on an ancient technology from the '60s unknown to the majority of human beings born in this country past 1995.In case you're curious, this is the process I usually go through:Step 1a: Make sure patient is conscious, can communicate, and has capacity to consent. If any of the above do not apply, hope that patient has legally recognized party that can consent for them present/signNowable.Step 1b: Hope that patient or other related party remembers where they were treated, or at least enough information to successfully Google the treatment facility, like a street name, an intersection, anything. Hope that previous treatment facility still exists (they're obviously not getting care there right now for a reason, maybe the reason is because it's shut down).Step 2: Fill out, by hand, an extensive form to be signed by the patient explicitly consenting to the release of their medical information by the other healthcare entity.Step 3: Before asking the patient to sign the form, spend time explaining to the patient why access to prior records is necessary. Deal with patient reaction.Best scenario: Patient just nods, smiles, and signs form.Ok scenario: "Doc, I don't get it. I'm obviously here because I want treatment. If my past records are needed for treatment, why can't you just get them without having to go through me? Just do whatever it takes to get me better already." Patient signs form, shaking head.Stressful scenario: "Why the %$#& are you wasting my time with this @$#%&*!# instead of treating me?! Call them to (hopefully) confirm receipt of the fax and explain that I need this information ASAP. If this step fails, try not to feel too much frustration that I spent over 2 decades studying to become a doctor only to be stalled by a piece of hardware that even my parents didn't own.Step 6: Wait for the other facility to find the requested records. This is, of course, assuming that they have someone working in medical records at that time. Even if they do, it could still be hours.Step 7: Receive, by fax, a bundle of grainy scanned papers from other facility. Hope desperately that the information I need is in there. Groan in realization that Control-F isn't going to help me and I need to search through the entire stack (sometimes hundreds of sheets, depending on patient's history) by hand to find what I need. Enlist medical student assistance if possible....and people wonder why I'm so obsessed with EMRs and how they need to be improved.

I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.
