I read a lot of amazing answers here and was compelled to write my story . So, here are a few stories about my dad ....1. His 'Dad Sense' is legendaryI had just returned home from my hostel and had a nearly invisible swelling on my head.Dad - What happened ,son?Me - Got hurt playing football , its just a little swelling. Dad - OkThat night ,at dinner...We are all sitting quietly at the table when he leans towards me and says..Dad - Now would be a good time to tell your mum about the bike accident.I nearly choke on my food....2 His priorities are entirely different...2008I am sitting in front of the computer , really depressed. He enters the room.Dad- What happened?Me - I didnt get through . (It was the AIPMT)Dad - Talks to me for an entire hour.2009 , Same time...I run towards his room screaming.Me - Dad, i cleared the exam (it was the AIPMT)Dad - Good (turns back to reading his book)Me - (Baffled at his lack of excitement)Dont you want to know my rank?Dad - (looks up)Son, Are you satisfied with the result.Me - Hell yeah...Dad - That settles it then.(Goes back to his book)3 His sense of humourLast week ,At Crusty Gourmet PizzaWe went out for dinner and had ordered two pizzas and coke. The waiter was already a bit irritated with us as it was nearly closing time.The pizza arrives and so do the drinks.Before we could start eating, Dad spills a glass of coke on the floor.Mum calls out to the waiter to get it cleaned.As the waiter approaches the table ,Dad picks up my glass, starts drinking from it and pats me on the back ,saying-'It's all right ,son. I had written this answer to some other question . I decided to share it here too.Well I have had many moments in the past when my love completely amazed me with his loving and caring attitude. But there is an incident that I can never ever forget. To start with, I will try to write our quick background here. He works in US and I'm in India. We always managed to take out time to talk to each other despite of our busy schedules. It was in December 2014, It was too cold at my place and I was suffering from severe fever for few days. It was a Saturday afternoon, I was having very high fever. We both used to talk for minimum two to three hours on weekends. So , as usual he skyped me. I was not well but still was excited for our weekend call. As soon I went on the video, he instantly made out that I'm not well. He told me to cut the call and sleep. I was hell bent on talking to him . I requested him to stay for sometime.He(scolding me) : Please Sleep. You are not well. I promise you I will make up for this call next weekend. You need to have rest.Me: No, I'm fine. He: I can see that. Your eyes are red and you can barely talk. Please take rest Princess. We will talk for as long as you'd want when you will be all fine.Me(angrily): One more time you tell me to sleep, I will cut the call . Already I'm so bored of laying down on this bed since last 5 days. He: Okay,I'm here. Not going anywhere. But please don't speak too much. You have a sore throat.Me:Yeah, I just need to look at that handsome face of yours and I will feel all fine. You know I did not go out this weekend.I so want to go out for a drive with my favorite music ON. I wish I could go but my mom will not let me go out until I get all fine.He: You want to go for a drive?Me: Yes. He: No , you will not go anywhere. You are not fine. Got it?Me: Yes Boss.He: Can I call you after 5 minutes? I need to get some work done.Me : Yes, I'm waiting.It was 2 a.m at his place and around 3:30 pm at my place.I receive a call after few minutes.When I pick up the call, I was surprised to see that he was in his car with my favorite music in the background. He said "See, I will take my darling for the long drive. We promised each other that we will never let this distance come in between us in any way". I had tears in my eyes and I was completely surprised by the love and dedication this man shows for our relationship.Me(with teary eyes) : Please don't go out. Its freaking 2 a.m at your place.He: Sssshhhhh. Keep quiet. Can I start now?He placed his phone on dashboard and drove around for over thirty minutes. Showed me the restaurants he often visits, showed me his gym and the grocery store he goes to and was continuously talking to me while driving. I kept telling him don't talk and drive. He said that its around 2.30 a.m and roads are almost empty.I almost felt like I am sitting next to him and holding hands.I had a smile on my face and he was also looking so happy for taking me out for that virtual drive.And then I pleaded him to go back because it was getting too late. He went back at his apartment and then again called me from there.Me: Are you mad? Why did you do that?He: You wanted to go out and I'm sorry that I cannot take you out for a real one. Taking you out on a SKYPE DRIVE  is the only thing I could do. Anything for you.Me: I Love You.He: I Love you too Sweetheart.Now you should cut the call and take rest. I want to see you in a better shape tomorrow.Me: Okay.(Slept with a huge smile).This was one of the most romantic and cute gesture of love from his side. Whenever I think about him, this is the first thing that comes to my mind. No flowers, no jewellery, no chocolates, no material things can ever replace such beautiful moments.

I received an email from the US Army that directly answers your question that is pasted below please keep reading.I believe you are the victim of a military Romance Scam whereas the person you are talking to is a foreign national posing as an American Soldier claiming to be stationed overseas on a peacekeeping mission. That's the key to the scam they always claim to be on a peacekeeping mission.Part of their scam is saying that they have no access to their money that their mission is highly dangerous.If your boyfriend girlfriend/future husband/wife is asking you to do the following or has exhibited this behavior, it is a most likely a scam:Moves to private messaging site immediately after meeting you on Facebook or SnapChat or Instagram or some dating or social media site. Often times they delete the site you met them on right after they asked you to move to a more private messaging siteProfesses love to you very quickly & seems to quote poems and song lyrics along with using their own sort of broken language, as they profess their love and devotion quickly. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I received this wonderful response back with lots of useful links on how to find and report your scammer. And how to learn more about Romance Scams.Right now you can also copy the picture he gave you and do a google image search and you will hopefully see the pictures of the real person he is impersonating. this doesn't always work and take some digging. if you find the real person you can direct message them and alert them that their image is being used for scamming.Good Luck to you and I'm sorry this may be happening to you. please continue reading the government response I received below it's very informative.   You have contacted an email that is monitored by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

Just register on the admission portal and during registration you will get an option for the entrance based course. Just register there. There is no separate form for DU CIC.

For enlisted, direct transfer from one branch to another is pretty rare, but it does happen. Specifically, when one branch has an over manning issue in a career field and another branch has a shortage in the same career field a direct transfer may be done.It is more common for officers to get a direct transfer at the same rank.There is a specific program known as Operation Blue to Green that enables AF and Navy members in overmanned career fields to request an early discharge in exchange for a three year commitment to the Army.Members of the U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps may also request early discharge to submit their application to the Army Warrant Officer Program.Funny story, I was stationed at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) and we had just welcomed our new commander and he told us a story from just after he had been promoted to Brigadier General. He was Commander at an Air Force base that was co-located with an Army Post. When you entered the front gate, on the left side of the boulevard was the Air Force base and the right side of the boulevard was the Army Post. One morning, he noticed that he had an appointment with an Army Lt. Col. and he asked his secretary what the appointment was for. Her response was that he didn't say, he just had something to discuss. So, the Lt. Col. arrives and come into his office and begins lamenting the fact that SrA's (E-4's) on the Air Force base got better housing than was available to him on the Army post and he demanded to be assigned quarters on the Air Force side of the installation. An Enlisted Performance Report (EPR) is an evaluation form used by the United States Air Force. Instructions for constructing an EPR appear in chapter 3 of Air Force Instruction 36-2406: Officer and Enlisted Evaluation Systems. The EPR replaced the Airman Performance Report (APR) in the late 1980s.

The number of possible EPR points has increased from the former 135-point maximum to 250 points. This means performance will have a much greater effect on who gets promoted.

Points toward promotion are: Promote Now — 250. Must Promote — 220. Promote — 200.
