When the furlough begins all employees are put into a non-pay status whether they work or not.If they work during the furlough they are (almost) guaranteed to be paid. After the furlough is over Congress has to authorize back-pay, and has every time.Employees who did not work during the furlough have no guarantee of being paid, but historically Congress has authorized back pay every single time for this group as well. But the uncertainty of worrying that this furlough might be the first time pay is not authorized is no fun.And if it extends beyond 2 or 3 weeks paychecks will be missed by both groups, even those that worked. Not all federal employees have contingency funds sitting in the bank. And bills still have to be paid. Anyone living paycheck to paycheck is going to experience hardship.What if you just closed on a house and your cash reserves are low? (happened to me in 1995).What if a person is an intern with a GS2 salary? ($20k per year). From this they have to pay rent and eat like the rest of us. They miss a check they have a serious hardship.What if an employee had borrowed money from their retirement account? These loans are only paid back through payroll deduction. If payments are missed there is a risk the loan will be closed and the balance reported to the IRS as a taxable distribution. And a 10% penalty for early withdrawal would be assessed if the person is under 59 1/2.What if you are on a detail in another city and the govt. orders you to break your lease, (lose your deposit which you paid out of your own pocket) and pay your own moving expense back home? (Almost happened to me in 2010).What if an employee traveled recently? Most employees have government credit cards that are direct billed to the employee. These credit cards have to be paid in full whether the employee has been reimbursed or not. So now a furloughed employee is responsible to pay a bill that could be in the thousands.What if you have a child support order and a furlough puts you in arrears? Now you have a state’s Attorney General breathing down your neck. Even if you have the money to pay you will not have a pleasant experience. Your first letter from them will not be a friendly letter. It will have 72 point font threatening to throw you in jail. And it goes downhill from there. Good luck getting that mess straightened out.To the people affected these are not just idealogical victimless debates. These are real people's lives that are being harmed.All of the folks that minimize the effect on 800,000 innocent federal employees are cruel and insensitive.Imagine the outcry if a private company laid off 400,000 workers and ordered another 400,000 to work with the promise of being paid eventually. This would be unacceptable and there would be fines and lawsuits all over the place. But the federal workers are supposed to just suck it up and accept it as part of the job.

The officer who interviews the visa applicant will usually speak and understand the most common local language. If not, another officer or a local consular employee will probably be able to translate. If the language is obscure enough, the consular officer might still find, somewhere in the embassy/consulate, an employee who has it.I remember an instance when the only employee who spoke both the primary local language and the very rare language of the visa applicant was one of the oldest, shyest, most reticent, lowest-level gardeners. Very rarely do website owners get paid directly by the advertiser as there are algorithms, and thousands of businesses that specialize in connecting website owners with advertisers, who can server a much more specialized ad for example, using personal information of the user and browser cookies, that individual website owners can’t often compete with. Think Google ads, where anyone with a website can just link a display ad to AdWords and don’t have to worry about anything other than their website. But there are thousands of intermediaries like Google Ads that serve as an intemediary, each with a specialization or competitive advantage.All depends on what type of campaign it is. Those pop-ups are not free though, someone is paying someone-else to server that, whether or not you click on anything or hit the back button.

I don’t know your culture or religious background so I don’t know if my views will be applicable to you. So please be careful what I am about say.In Islam, Husband is leader of the family and partner for wife, even then wife is not suppose to share her own wealth, money or possession with her husband. Most importantly husband even can’t force his wife to go to work but if she does ( husband allowed to work after mutual discussion or wife was already working before marriage and she put that condition about her working even after marriage - what even it may be) go to work then he can’t ask for any share from her earning. Man in the house suppose to be responsible for providing anything and everything for his wife, children, parents and whoever is under his care.But in case of distress or troublesome time, it is advised to wife to give some support to her husband.That will be good deed from her to him. This help is pure and with compassion. So if your husband is in need and he is in trouble with bad loan or something then better to help him with reasonable way,without being too hasty. Remember women’s need is Safety and security with love while Men’s need is respect and pride(ego). Balance these two. If you feel loved then respect him fully.
