Was the mother of Ted Cruz, the current candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, a citizen of the United States of American when she gave birth to Ted Cruz?
This has been done to death. Cruz's mother was an American citizen, therefore Cruz is an American citizen. His parents met and married in the U.S., moved to Canada for a few years working in the oil industry, then returned to the states. His mother never renounced her citizenship.

Why do asylum seekers start their journey from South Columbia to the United States border? Why don't they just land in the U.S.A. via a plane and fill out the asylum form?
Thanks 4 the A2A!I live in Europe and have never tried boarding a plane in Columbia but from what I know, no airline will allow you to board unless you have a US passport or a valid Visa. Also, the tickets are not really cheap and affordable for everyone. Even if you can afford them, you legally can not get on that plane.Just imagine: how great it is when you have all those freedoms! Be grateful that you have the passport that you have and do not even have to think about such trivial things. Not everyone is as lucky.People in misery, regardless if they seek refuge from Central America of Syria or elsewhere, just want to LEAVE all that behind and have the chance to live a normal life somewhere better, somewhere safe. I personally think that the voyage a refugee undertakes is as risky as the wars and problems they are trying to escape from and they should be helped instead of making their sad lives even more hard by rigid administration.Of course, nothing will get better as long as the essential problems aka reasons why they are leaving in the first place, are addressed and solved. But there are interests behind that, groups of people who live of that and they will not give up their positions easily. Almost like some sort of a viscous, endless circle. And it is always normal, “small fish” people that suffer the most.Good luck to all of you who venture on that path!

How does one run for president in the united states, is there some kind of form to fill out or can you just have a huge fan base who would vote for you?
If you’re seeking the nomination of a major party, you have to go through the process of getting enough delegates to the party’s national convention to win the nomination. This explains that process:If you’re not running as a Democrat or Republican, you’ll need to get on the ballot in the various states. Each state has its own rules for getting on the ballot — in a few states, all you have to do is have a slate of presidential electors. In others, you need to collect hundreds or thousands of signatures of registered voters.

Where can I get a copy of the intake form Immigration Services fills out when someone wants to enter the United States?
If you’re asking for copies of the forms that you will be asked to fill out on the plane I believe they are the I-94 and 6059B forms. They are here in various languages: Print-ready layouts for CBP forms i-94, 5129, and 6059B

How to decide my bank name city and state if filling out a form, if the bank is a national bank?
Somewhere on that form should be a blank for routing number and account number. Those are available from your check and/or your bank statements. If you can't find them, call the bank and ask or go by their office for help with the form. As long as those numbers are entered correctly, any error you make in spelling, location or naming should not influence the eventual deposit into your proper account.

Why will Texans support Ted Cruz? Tonight in the debate he said "I made a conscious decision to work with this president". He put aside his honor to be your senator from the state of Texas now. What was he doing in the first 4 years?
I supported Ted Cruz from the first time I heard him speak. He had sincerity in his words. Sincerity that was born out by his actions. Ted Cruz has been an awesome senator. I disagreed with him once or twice but I’d be worried if I agreed with anybody on everything.I also supported Cruz as a presidential candidate, only switching to Trump when Cruz stepped out of the race.I support Trump. My main concern with Trump was whether he’d make real efforts to keep his campaign promises, most of those mirrored Ted Cruz’s. He has. He hasn’t done everything he promised but he made a real effort at 90% of it and is still trying. Again I don’t agree 100% with Trump but again it’d be a sign of groupthink if I did.My differences with both Trump and Cruz are in most areas relatively minor. I am quite happy with both.As for Cruz working with Trump. The campaign got a bit vicious. Rather ironic as Cruz was a sort of mentor for Trump early on and they appeared to be friends. I was in FB and similar groups for both candidates. I’d hear some truly stupid accusations going around in each and saw remarkable levels of fanaticism develop about candidates that shared 99% of their platform and differed mostly in degree rather than what they wanted.Cruz and Trump appear to have buried the hatchet and put the interests of the nation ahead of their personal differences stemming from the campaign. I would suggest you do the same. Cruz and Trump have the same vision and not only is that good for the nation and Texas, it’s working quite well.As for alternates, why would any sane individual consider Beto and his open borders, anti-gun, universal health care touting campaign? All 3 stances are on prominent display on his campaign website. The Libertarian I haven’t seriously looked at since I love what Cruz has done. I am a former Libertarian but find the isolationism, pro-amnesty and corporatism on display by the Libertarian party and most of it’s candidates only mildly less loathsome than the DNC’s Socialism. Corporatism and Socialism are essentially the same thing and inflict the same globalist evils. Capitalism cannot easily survive either, and without capitalism the whole meritocracy American dream thing dies. Both Socialists and Corporatists mistake an economic system as being a form of government. It is not, it is a separate entity and one of the primary reasons we need a government at all. One of the few economic duties given to government in the Constitution is meant to combat monopolies and the devastation they inflict on a people saddled with them.

Let’s say I want to join the Air Force, how do I get a U.S. Congressman, a Senator, or the Vice President of the United States to nominate me?
>> Let’s say I want to join the Air Force, how do I get a U.S. Congressman, a Senator, or the Vice President of the United States to nominate me?Even though the others are correct, I'll throw my 2 cents in as well since my answer was requested. As the others have stated, you only need to get a Congressional appointment if you want to attend the USAF Academy. There are other ways to enter. If you want to go enlisted, simply go to your local USAF recruiter. She/he will be more than thrilled to get you signed up and shipped off.If you want to get a commission and become an officer, you can join the ROTC, you can go to OTS after you get your degree or get a appointment to the USAF Academy. You didn't say what your wishes are regarding the direction you want to go. If it is the academy you want, you will have some hoops to jump through and getting an appointment is but one of many.

How did you go to start your journey to the United States? What forms did you fill out? How long did it take? My best friend wants to come here and I will help him until he gets his green card.
I worked hard at school to get good grades, went to university, studied hard, graduated, got a series of better and better jobs, and finally transferred across as an international manager under an L1-A visa (executive management). After a year my lawyer submitted my green card paperwork, and a few months later I was approved.Your friends experience may differ - there are MANY ways of ending up with a green card - hard work, education, and business success is one of the easiest, but not the only way.You can be lucky (diversity lottery), rich (investment), talented (internationally recognised artists, athletes and scientists), or have family in the USA.ALL these options require you to either pay a lawyer, or actually learn the process yourself.Your friend should start by obtaining a visa which allows them to legally reside and work in the USA - that’s the first step in the process.Simply “wanting to come to the USA” isn’t enough - it’s a start. Now your friend needs to learn the process and apply themselves.U.S. Visas
