My name's Mattia and I'm from Hav, Montana. I have two kids. Gabriela is five, Augustus is three. Before August was an early intervention. I noticed a lot of milestones that he wasn't meeting when he was six months old. He still wasn't sitting up independently. We started early intervention when he was about a year and a half old. At that point, he wasn't walking or talking. He was using a very limited amount of signs. I was concerned about his development and I started reaching out to, um, different places that might be able to help with early intervention. Because we live in a small area, rural Montana, it was difficult to find something that worked. And Montana Milestone was amazing. They were able to get us set up with occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. There's a lot of stress to having a child that has developmental delays and it's hard on a family and it causes a lot of parent guilt thinking that maybe it was something that I did or something I didn't do.
