everybody thanks for joining my name is jake halperin and i'm a support analyst in the infrastructure support team uh today we're going to be talking about a couple of the popular authentication options in primo ve um saml which stands for security assertion markup language and cass and we're going to be focusing more on saml because that's the more complicated one um so i'm gonna start by giving a quick overview about uh what is sso uh why anyone would want sso and um focusing mainly on saml um and then i'm going to see how we set up saml in alma alma is kind of like the back office in primo ve uh so that's where we're going to be uh doing all the configurations then we're going to talk about debugging because um saml has a lot of moving parts and they can all go wrong and in the end we're going to talk a little bit about cass because there's there's less to do there frankly so before we even talk about sso we can talk about um authentication and authorization um and how those two ter
