hello this is mr. Boyer in this video I'll be going over the constant of proportionality and how to find it so a constant of proportionality is just a constant ratio we call it a unit rate in any proportional relationship so it sounds like a lot but it's really actually very very easy so math we like to call constants K we like to give them a K even though constant size to the C we like to give it a K so a constant equals just the Y over the X or you can say y equals the constant times X so there's two ratios that you will see when you deal with the constant so we have a table here and remember my constant is just Y over X so given that this table is proportional that you just pick any Y so any one of these Y's right and put it over its respective X so I like to pick the smallest one I like to say you know what this is this is small so I'm going to pick that one so this Y 4 over this X 1 so my ratio is 4 over 1 which is just 4 so my constant is 4 not too tough here we have another one
