My name is Pernille Ripp, and I’m a seventh-grade teacher here in Oregon School District. I’ve written two books in the last two years. I’m in the fortunate position right now to be working on my third book. Right now my writing really centers on how we can change education, how we can make schools about kids, and how we can empower them to share the truths that they see about our educational system. And so everything I do right now focuses on that change and empowering teachers as well to find courage to change. I try to come from a very positive standpoint because I think we have enough negativity surrounding us, not just in education, but in life in general. And so I always try to come up with solutions, even if I see a big problem. I write almost every day, whether it’s working on a book or blogging. I’ve been blogging for the last five years.
