We really appreciate your attendance at this event and my name is Jenna Feist Ritzer And I'm President of the Moot Court board here at the Law School. This year the Moot Court board is hosting a speaker series on Appellate Advocacy and Professor Michael Tigar is our first speaker in the series Professor Tigar received his bachelor of arts from the University of Berkeley A University of California Berkeley in 1962 and received his JD from Bolt Hall UC Berkeley in 1966. He maintained the position of first in his class all three years at Bolt Hall and was editor in Chief of the law review. His distinguished career has included seven cases before the supreme court of the United States, hundreds of appeals before state and federal courts, several professorships and lecture appointments in various high-profile representations.
