Now there are a whole host of factors that can contribute to herb-drug interactions. And, of course, the more botanicals or the more phytochemicals you're exposed to, the greater the likelihood that there may be an interaction. And, of course, a lot of products on the market now contain more than just one botanical extract; oftentimes it's a multitude of multiple extracts in one particular product. And, of course, you have to realize that these are botanical extracts when you're taking the botanical material extracting it with either hot aqueous or hot organic solvents and concentrating a lot of these phytochemicals into a form that's much higher than it would if you just say consumed the plant on its own. And, of course, a lot of the phytochemicals that are in some of these interesting and unique and sometimes quite varied products we really don't know much about their pharmacological activity.
