I'm Douglas stack City of Grand Rapids housing rehabilitation supervisor the housing rehabilitation program is designed to maintain the city's housing infrastructure and increase the affordability of the housing in English that means we provide assistance to homeowners to make necessary repairs to the interiors next years of their homes we can do roofing siding windows doors on the interior we do health and safety related items like letting asbestos hazards electrical problems plumbing problems furnace replacements that sort of thing we also have funds to do energy and water efficiency improvements to the home insulation high efficiency furnaces low-flow toilets that sort of thing assistance is provided in the form of a combination of grants and loans we use primarily Federal Community Development Block Grant funds but we also tap in other funding sources as they are available and to try to make the the best combination of grants and loans for our customers that we can for more informa
